My apologies Corrine....I called you Julie................Triple digits here again today...sigh!!!!Some of the big walnuts are coming down out ot the trees. Time to park my car elsewhere I guess. This is so early.....Starting to think of which months may be cold that usually are not.
Hope you are all set for a magnificent Monday....well at least a nice one. I'm back at present on my 11 a.m to 4 p..m. schedule. I don't mind it as I have more time on the bottom side. See you all later.

Great picture, gals!
I have just a few minutes on the computer today. My middle grandson is here. We've been to the library this morning and came home with a big bag of books and a few movies. In a few minutes we're heading out to bowl. Then we're picking up chicken for a picnic on the pontoon and some fishing when it cools down a bit later this afternoon and early evening. It looks like we're going to have a great week!

Ritajean: I am in Quincy and I have never gotten to meet Mazy. I wonder how she is doing? Her son used to go to our church, but I don't see him anymore. I will see what I can find out. I know several ladies from our church get their cars worked on at her hubby's garage, let me see what I can find out.
Heidi: I have a part maine coon, she might be full, she is a little smaller than most maine coons. She is anti social with people she doesn't know. She isn't mean, she just runs and hides, it takes a long time for her to come out of hiding.
I am much better today, going to ask for a 30 minute infusion next time. I can't wait to see what these are going to cost!
I have missed you ladies, I am going to start checking the forum every day! Maybe all my crazy issues with chemo might help someone. I keep forgetting to ask my onc if anyone else got burns from Taxotere.
It feels good to be back among the living today, still a lingering headache and some bone pain, but tolerable.
Have a wonderful day!

Finished AC 4 on Thursday, last of AC. Now to get past this week of side effects then a normal week before beginning twelve weekly taxol/herceptin treatment. Any suggestions on what side effects to expect with weekly taxol/herceptin?
Hopefully not nausea and losing nails.0 -
I'm back and boy it looks like I missed a lot. It will probably take me hours to catch up entirely. So just a couple quick shout-outs...Joan-so glad to hear your surgery went well and you're on your way back (pun unintentional), Heidi-thankful you are doing well. (((HUGS))) to everyone going through treatment and those not feeling up to par.
Ireland was wonderful. Spent a week with family on their farm which included 43 dogs, about as many cows, 5 chinchillas, a handful of horses, 2 donkeys and a bounty of bunnies. They are a fun group and I felt bad I couldn't join them on their pub outings-just didn't have the stamina. Funny, in my mind, I'm done with bc, but then I realize I have no energy, two frozen shoulders and I'm still not comfortable with these darn foobs.
I made a visit to Knock (the Irish version of Lourdes) where I attended mass and included all of you in my prayers.
When are we getting together for lunch/dinner?
Off to catch up on the myriad of posts!

Spunky....welcome home. Except for the pubs I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation. We missed you while you were gone. Thanks for the prayer inclusion. I don't think you can have too many and so it is always a warm feeling for me.
Grace -- yay for getting your A/C done. It is always nice to get the red devil out of the way. Can't help you much on the other....I had Taxotere.
Nanc....hope you do come around more often. There is a lot of information here and good hand holding when that is called for, as well as understanding when you need to let loose frustrations.
Hope you all stay cool this afternoon. I'm wilted big time....just came in from filling up the pools and water buckets for the outside dogs in this 105 humid afternoon.
Hope you have a wonderful evening.
Hugs, Jackie

I wish I could have attended the weekend gathering. Aside from enjoying Greek Isles, which I haven't been to in too long, I would have loved to see the faces and hear the voices behind all your postings. I'm sure it was a great time. It was a good weekend for me, overall. Spent it in Wisconsin for a family reunion around my folks' 85th and 80th birthday celebrations. I never saw so many people with white hair in my life. Some long-lost cousins made the trip and it was great checking in with them, too.
I've also been super busy trying to schedule way too many dental and medical appointments before chemo starts. WHY don't they warn you before the "chemo class" that all those put-off appointments have to be addressed before chemo or wait until after? I was a little preoccupied with getting the cancer diagnosis, deciding on surgery options, reconstruction options, emotional meltdowns, etc, etc to stay current with anything other than the big C decisions. It would have been so much easier to get all of this done during the entire six weeks between surgery and chemo rather than the last one! Sigh.
Temperatures are supposed to back to normal tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I really don't like the feel of air conditioning, but it's just too hot and humid to go without.

Waving hi this morning. The terrific heat continues....107 again today --- heat index about 110. Yesterday when I left for work there was a long grey snake slithering around my deck. Probably looking for something to eat..........this drought and high heat are making waves. This is only the third snake ( only the second one in our yard area ) that I've seen since we have lived out here in the woods. Hmmm. What's next. I hope rain which MAY ( hope-hope ) come Thurs. and Fri. as well if we are fortunate.
Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday. Stay well.
Hugs, Jackie

Good morning everyone! Once again I have fallen behind in posting though I do read all of your posts each day. I love the picture from this past weekend. Everyone looks so healthy and happy.
My Mammaprint results showed a pretty high risk of return (30%) so I started TCx6 on 7/17. So far so good. Any advice as my treatment progresses would be appreciated. My immediate side effect was a crazy combination of wired/tired which has really messed with my sleep. My reconstruction never got started so soon I will be bald AND "boob-less". I tried on a wigs but they all look terrible so I guess I will be doing scarves and hats.
{{{{Hugs}}}} to all. I am glad my rain dance is finally working!0 -
Invisible between BMX and TEs having me sleep on my back (I was a tummy sleeper), chemo and some light night flashes I don't think I had a good nights sleep till some time after chemo ended. Granted I did take naps at the end of the day because I was so beat.
There are lots of videos on youtube on how to tie a scarf. I preferred longer scarves. It gave the appearance of having hair. Cotton is best. Silk won't work. Too slippery and warm for this time of year.
So it sounds like the first tx went smoothly. Any other SE?

Hi Lago - thanks for the info - I figured insomnia was common but its the thing that really bugs me. I have very dry eyes, mouth, weird waves of nausea and some diarrhea. It's not that bad...just annoying. They gave me a schedule for nausea drugs which I followed faithfully. My insurance did not approve the Neulasta in time for my first chemo so I never got the first shot. I hear that has a whole new set of SE's. I will get it after my second course.

I got pretty bad back pain (bones) with Nuelasta the first time. The next 5 times I still had bone pain but it wasn't that bad. I have read the first shot is the worst… but then some people have no pain at all.
Sounds like you are getting a lot of the SE I didn't get. They are the "good ones"… because the nausea and diarrhea will go away once your done. Seriously all these SE suck but at least you know those will go away.
Many of us had dry eye with taxotears. Wait, your eyes might start to water up too. Ask your onc if you can take artificial tears (not Visine). That's what my ophthalmologist recommended.

I believe we would be happier to have a personal revolution in our individual lives and go back to simpler living and more direct thinking. It is the simple things of life that make living worthwhile, the sweet fundamental things such as love and duty, work and rest, and living close to nature." - Laura Ingalls Wilder

Hey you guys........
Anyone love their dentist? I need a shit ton of work, want to get rid of my metal fillings, get the nasty color of my two front bottom root canal teeth fixed and I haven't been since I was diagnosed! YIKES.

c2beleveit: Welcome!
Spunky: Glad you had fun in Ireland. We went two years ago and loved it. Went to my MO on Friday and she told me she took my advice and is going with her parents, kids, and DH next month. Same tour we did.
