Hi goils…sorry been away a few days.  Had to work Sunday wif my DH.   I kissed him a lot and den more on Monday.  He my Vet.  Anyway…as usual we hab dwinks after woik n come home pass out.  Monday…teeth cleaning, DH had PT, then we went to bisit a friend who jes home from triple by-pass.  He looked good.  Doc even sed he could have a beer or two a day.  So we toasted with him…but we didn’t stay too long.  Den dda grocery store, den the Library…whew…den home…I was wiped out by time got din over I jes crashed.  Today DH wants to drive to LV to try and trade up my Dodge Journey.  I don’t want to go….but I will.

    Hi Chrissy!!

Bernie - Love the ‘smack da chit outta him’…very funny!!

Blackcat - berry funny wodka xmas cake recipe…LOL.  Stay awhile and pull up a stool…always lots n lots a wodka!!

NM - had to laugh bout the screams from da lobstahs…usta make me gag…but no big deal once I had learned what was really happening…LOL.

Columbus mom - I musta missed your post…but no matter…pull up a stool…lets get to dwinking!

Cyn - LOL telling Julie and Stella to stay ahead of MolerFoker.  About the seafood, I DO NOT go near salmon either.  But I love lobster, but not clams or crab (well sometimes crab).  I will eat tuna, talapia, halibut, and cod.  But if any of the afore mentioned smells…I won’t touch it.

Julie - sounds like you having fab time!

Cami - ewe cwack me up…as always.  You n Dork n Kat..night owls.  But seriously…what is the thing with your Cardio guy and Herceptin.  What is he saying?  Keep us posted too on the scan…am praying it is jes scar tissue.

Dorfy - Glad glad glad you doc sed all was well wif da shitty now pretty-titty (or will b when swelling goes down).  You are not fat…I have da belly too, but it seems to be going down a widdle with my walking.  Wish I cud do situps, but o well.  And wouldn’t we alll love to get a tummy tuck, lypo, face lift….I kno I wud…but not gonna happen so ya’ll stuck wif me as I am.

Orla - good advice…but sometimes it takes awhile for the ’bitch’ or da ’asshole’ to show der true colors.  And ditto what u say to Dork about our bodies…hail yeah!!

OK…kno mese missing someone…but short on time today....jes knos I lubs lubs lubs ya'll!!

You are all getting me hungry for seafood....love it ALL, esp nice tender lobstah tail (hate it rubbery and overcooked), shrimp, everything!

Cami, I joined the National Guard as a single parent when my kids were 16mo old and 3 1/2 yrs...was sooo hard to leave them but I did it for more money to raise them with. Had to go to regular boot camp, so was gone 3 1/2 months....that killed me being away from them that long (saw them 2x briefly). I was 28,most of the other gals were 18...then at AIT (advanced training) in San Antonio, I dated the 24 yo GOOD LOOKING officers (one looked like the marlboro billboard ad back then). The 18 yo's were jealous that I got him and they didn't. LOL! ANyway, after getting back home, I met my future (now late) DH as he was a Green Beret in NG at the time. My unit was on the front lines in Desert Storm, but I somehow got out of going. Got honorable discharge after 6 yrs. Would NOT have gone to war while I was single parent of my 2 girls...would have left the country before doing that, as being a mom was more important to me. SO I really admire those women that can do that! I salute them!!!

Love your DOTD NM! So appropriate!!! Glad you have the times in your phone, Dork. I think Chrissy lives 2 hrs from Adelaide, but that is the closest city to her. ANd when you do my Beijing time, I think it also is the next day (like OZ).

Yeah Lori, that is for the FULL face lift, eyes, forehead, chin, nect, etc. I think that would hurt sooo much afterwards till healed though. Not sure what I might want to do, but wishing I could lose weight and see if it could be a simpler lift! I know, wishing doesn't do it, action does....so I should say I need to get motivated and start losing weight!

Love and HUgs to all, I have written enough (bout myself), so don't wanna write pages and pages....but I read all the messages and really enjoy them so much. EXCEPT for that scary news, Cami. We are praying for better news....you are so special and I am glad you found us here in the lounge!

Sue, didn't mean to bump into you, sweetie. SO nice you kept kissing your very own veteran, your DH! Thats nice. Hope you like the new vehicle, if you do trade yours in. I get too used to mine and like to run them till they run out. And I hate new car buying...so much hassle getting the best price, etc. Good if your DH does that part of it!!! Hugs!

A vacationing penguin is driving through Arizona when he notices that the oil-pressure light is on. He gets out to look and sees oil dripping out of the motor. He drives to the nearest town and stops at the first gas station.
After dropping the car off, the penguin goes for a walk around town. He sees an ice-cream shop and, being a penguin in Arizona, decides that something cold would really hit the spot. He gets a big bowl of vanilla ice cream and sits down to eat. Having no hands, he makes a real mess trying to eat with his little flippers.
After finishing his ice cream, he goes back to the gas station and asks the mechanic if he's found the problem. The mechanic looks up and says, "It looks like you blew a seal."
"No, no," the penguin replies, "it's just ice cream."

LOl Bernie! But I kept wondering....HOW was the penguin even driving a car??? LOL.

Love that face picture OLara...that could cover a lot of imperfections!

Cami, Sure hope the new med does the trick and your b/p is ok, as well as your precious heart! I think Dorkie is going back to work on Wed, then has holidays Thur & Fri and then the weekend, so 1 day of work=4 days off. Sounds like a good plan to me! As long as she doesn't overdo it on Wed, as I know they have missed her and prolly have tons of work waiting for her expertise.

Hugs all! I have spent ALL DAY with our China trip and our trip to Dublin and Maderia next March. OMG it has taken hours. After paying for 1st class tix rd trip US to Ireland, as one airline assured me I could use miles with them to go from Dublin to Madeira...but when I called back, ohhhhh noooo can't be done with that airline. CHIT! Finally found an airline I could use miles to get there...will take TWELVE hrs (Dublin-Frankfurt-Lisbon-Madeira) and this is AFTER traveling all day to get there from here! So will be very tired after 2 days traveling and getting to Madeira at midnight. Going back, we stay in Ireland for 3 nites (but get there sooo late) and get to see BERNIE!! Yay! But still 12 hrs getting to Ireland from Madeira, Portugal. Then lots of calls to Air China about this and that....hope I got all that chit straight too. Weird to be working on trips to diff countries at once. Is it happy hour yet????? Prolly is in Beijing or Adelaide, at least, or maybe even Kilkenny!

    Slainte!  'gān beī'!

I scheduled my bone scan for 1 week from Monday, I didn't want to do anything for the holiday and she did say it might not show up on this scan--it's small so I won't follow up til Jan. cuz I'm not ruining my Christmas for this chit. Anyway I'm more worried about my heart. hahaha It's been broken a couple of timesso I want to make sure there is glue so they can mend it and I can sniff the lue--See always the upside. LOL

LOL Cami, funny you mention Sweden, as one route had us stopping in Zurich Switzerland for a few hrs! But OMG trying to use miles, sends you all over creation...I was offered to pay instead of using miles, and it came to.....drumroll....almost $8k for both, just Dublin-Madeira...both in Europe....unfrickenbelievable. Be sure to keep everyone posted on your scan results, and how well you are doing (cuz I jest know you will do well) with your b/p and heart. Will try to check in while away, but jest never know what free time there will be (and I might need it for sleep..lol).

Someone forgot to reiterate to Cami that she keeps saying that bad word. I wouldnt bust anyone out normally Cam but  I got all kinds of chit whenever I said it sooooo.

DorK ..I meant to mention that I was so so happy for you hearing that the boobie was only swolen and not fallen..I was so pissed about your dr telling you are fat I didnt mention the good news.

Kathy...who is taking you on miles Iberia ? Curious travel minded minds want to know.

Oh...speaking of ..Im not doing that trip to Amsterdam and Paris in Jan...I am however going to go to Austin.

*wink, wink*....yeah I figured Austin would win out....lol! The first airline was USAIR and they said about a month ago I could do that route, and no rush as there were lots of seats. Well NOW, the only routes they would book for me involved spending a nite in London, ea way, making the travel time even longer. Thank God I checked United..had forgotten our CO miles merged with UA...so had 50k there I didn't know about, and they have the same star alliance that USAir does, so I don't know why usair could'nt do the same flts. OH wait, I know why, cuz it was a rude agent, and I was able to do the UA one online myself, yup dats gotta be it! LOL. Almost had to cancel our beautiful condo on the coast in Madeira and just spend the entire time in Ireland. Which I would also love, except that it is SO hard to get to Madeira, and when I got our 1st cls to Dublin, it was all figured out that I could use miles to go from DUB-FNC (funchal, madeira). So i was not a happy camper. Would love it if Delta was still partnered with TapAir as they are the one that flies from Lisbon to Madeira the most. Oh, this is good... UA is with Air China too, so we will accrue UA miles on our China trip (just half though as it was a group fare). Usair wouldn't give ANY miles for it, even though they are with Air China too. Whew! Still isn't happy hr yet...darn!

I sure hope you get to go to Dublin though, maybe when school gets out, with Jodi??

    Hugs! Kath

Hello ladies, hope you all had a wonderful weekend it was a long weekend here and me had too many dwinks this weekend lol oh hmmm is therre such a thiing?? So have any of you girls taken the plunge into volunteering with the cancer center in your area's? I am thinking of doing so, figure it would also be a good way to get out and start getting involved in my new community. I tend to stay hidden away in the house if I dont force myself, can be quite the hermit not a good place to be. Still fighting with anxiety and depression over the FAH, for those of you who know me I did end up taking him back the last time, he was gone 6 months, came home for 6 then pulled a dissapearing stunt again for 2 weeks, thats when I knew if I didnt get out I never would and the cycle of abuse would continue, hence the move. I sometimes wonder if my heart willl ever heal, it has been 3 months now (this time) and my heart is just as broken as the day I picked up with the kids and left. Any advice on how to move on and stop the pain?

    Hugs

LOL Cami, no worries, but you have said it a couple more times since Cyndie mentioned it! The dreaded word is....get this..... "sorry"!  We tried to ban it from the lounge as none of us have anything to be sorry about, but heck even I say it sometimes. Sometimes that is the word you need! But we do rib gals about it sometimes!!

Oh Kymn, I have been there too. Taken someone back that I shouldn't have. What helped me was realizing how much better off I was without the scumbag. Even when I moved with my 2 babies and NO money, I was much better off. Just the calmness of our home (well I left our home and had an apt)....and just me and my kids and NO ONE yelling and throwing things and doing all sorts of evil, just to hurt me. YOU and YOUR KIDS are so important, and the fact that you have your kids, means everything in the world. Believe me on that! And when I moved I had no job and he did not pay child support (even though he was ordered to), so we REALLY had nothing. Just the furniture I bought when I was a furniture salesperson and decorator (in fact I still have some of the pieces now)...and it was nice furniture. I just thanked God I was alive, my babies were alive and well, and the scumbag wasn't trying to kill me and harrass me every day! Try to focus on ONLY the good things in your life. If you try to think of them, there are many. And a VERY good idea to do volunteer work. I miss that...it is so rewarding when you are helping others, gives you a very good feeling, lots of endorphins. You can email or pm me, or any of the gals, and vent personal stuff if you don't want to vent it here. We are ALL behind you, and will support you through it all. You WILL be happy again, but please try to focus on the good in your life, esp your kids, it really does help. Not that it will make the hurt go away, but eventually you won't hurt like you are now.

Big Hugs to all who need it! I am drinking Ice Wine right now...we opened it the other day on our anniv, and then forgot about it.It is SO good, and using one of my nana's (she lived to 101) glasses that she used to serve sherry and madeira wine, in.

    Cheers!

OK, you all wanna laff??? I was writing my post and then watching tv, and stopped it on an environmental ad that showed just a close-up of a bald eagle in a tree. Very beautiful picture, and it filled the tv screen. SO I pulled a joke on DH...called him in here and just asked him if he ever figured out how to put "wallpaper" on his tv (yup we have our own, lol). He was amazed...thought I had put the eagle as "wallpaper" on my tv....LOL. Kept asking me how I did it....till I busted out laffing.....Hahaha... (well maybe it was funnier when it happened and not in the retelling of it).

    Hello sisters!

I tink I must have gone into hybernation for the day. I got up early after being up very late but then crashed out in my bed for four hours, got up  and drug my sorry ass to my sofa and slept another three hours. I guess I needed it. I was really cold in my bed so when I moved to the sofa, I loaded up with blankets then woke up in a full blown hot flash. Damnit, I thought they were gone.

Wahine, I like how you and your DH communicate and play little jokes on each other. YOu always make me laugh. I had to crack up the other day when you told me that you had to break the news to your dogs that Obama was going to be president for another four years and then your DH's response about the dog being half black and half white. Ooops, I guess that is not politically correct but wese talking about a doggie. My little Mandy is black and tan, sometimes when I get mad at her, I call her a little black bitch. hehe.  I am not prejudice, i jest crack myself up since she is a black dog. See, that proves I am not prejudice. You stress me out with everything you are doing to prepare for your trip to China.

Camille, you make me laugh too, I liked when you said it takes you all day to get to Walgreen's, I can relate to that. I do not get out much myself and a trip to the drug store is a big deal for me. I hope the girls did not offend you about using the "s" word. The point in all that is that you never have to be sorry for anything while in the lounge. There is nothing to apologize for except for saying the dreaded S word. I sometime say "I apologize" and usually get away with it. I hope you do not mind me asking but what is going on with your heart and your BP? I am scared for you sister!  Please do stay on top of the BP, do you remember what happened to me when I ran out of meds? OMG, I was so sick when my pressure went super high. That scares me more than the rat bastard too.  My "baby" brother lost his wife at age 47 due to high blood pressure. They, whoever "they" are, are correct in saying that is the silent killer, nothing to mess with. I get on people all the time for elevated BP, I can usually see it in the color of their faces, sort of looks like a smacked ass with the redness. Anyway, I am starting to think that we can give you immunity with the S word, what do you think girls? Can we make exception for Camille? I feel that she needs this word in her vocab. I dunno, I just yacking away.

Don't hurt me girls but I think I am going to Atlantic City with my soon to be exDH. We have had a few cordial conversations and he really wants to take me to see a show for a late birthday present. I had to check with my DD and see if she is able to care for my dogs. she finally asked who I was going with, I had to tell her the truth. I assured her that Steve will not be around when she is here. And Steve knows that there is not a chance in hell that we get back together as a couple, we can try to be cordial to one another. Plus I need my grass cut lol. I hope I did not nessapoint my Mema Sue since she was hear when DH send a very nasty series of text messages on my birthday. He wants to give me a birthday present, how can I say no? And guess what? If there is any boom chicky wow wow, you know who I am portending to be with?? Yep, my friends car salesman, oh baby.

I am going to try to reread the posts from today, I again jest skimmed. I have not reason to be lazy with this but jest know there are more tings I need to comment on.

    Cheers ma' dears!
