Good morning, Loungettes! Enjoying a lazy Saturday ayem. Sadie's getting lots of attention by dropping her toys on my keyboard over and over again. So if the typing looks odd, it's Sadie's fault!
Cammy--I do need to put the tylenol out, did that last night and remembered it when I got up, no headache this ayem. I do need help remembering everything. Leaving things out where I can see them helps a lot! Talk about love, taking your sister's chemo for her! That is a funny story!
CynCyn--sounds like you are starting to get out of the funk, sometimes it takes awhile to recover from an accident emotionally, most people don't realize the emotional effect of an accident. Hang in there! I have faith in you! In the meantime, enjoy your b-day presents!
Goldie--ah, to be so innocent, again! It is important to get up and walking after surgery, but did you know that uncontrolled pain also causes dizziness and nausea? Research shows that using a PCA pump actually decreases the amount of pain medication a patient uses, and decreases the amount of time they need pain medications. BUT--everyone knows what works best for themselves. I'll have to remember to set an iPhone alarm for the tylenol if I'm still getting ayem headaches after this weekend.

I hads a dwinky to sailabrate CynCyn's b-day last night, and slept like a log all night long! Maybe I'm on the wrong track with tylenol and xanax, maybe all I need is alcamahol!
Stella, I knows you is a good poysen at heart, youse always picking up someone here in the lounge. You just make some bad choices, and need to learn the consequences so you learn to make better choices! I know one wong won't keep you down for long!
Goldie--when we use lorazepam/ativan for sleep in Hospice we usually start with 0.25 mg if the person has never take it or drug like it before. Often, though, we need 0.5mg, and we often have to increase that to 1 mg after a while (several weeks of regular use). From time to time we go even higher, but not very often. When taken only on occasion, 0.25 to 0.5 mg should work just fine for most people.
Well, time to start some house work and decluttering. My desk is driving me crazy!

Chit, chit, chit...was finally working my way back farther in the attic with all my chit....and realized one entire side of the roof has been leaking. Dang! First I thought a critter (varmit) wuz wetting on chit, but den I saw de support beams all wet. Yikes. A critter might have been better. Sooo much chit in dere, and of course DH can't get up the steps yet to come upstairs. One more thing to add to de list of things to call and git someone out here, for. De new battery in de truck ain't woikin. We didn't get to run it (got battery Dec 24), as we were bizzy, then gone, then sick. SO am hoping it isn't sumtin berry spensive. The new battery shud woik even tho we didn't start it for 3 wks or so. Dang!

Good afternoon, Loungettes! Got my desk corner cleaned up, and some minor rearrangements of furniture (end tables and a rolling file cabinet) done. Got the living room floor swept and washed, too. Now the kitchen is calling my name!
Cammy-when I take tylenol I take 500 mg. Unless I'm augmenting a stronger pain med, in which case I take 1000 mg.
Mema--Wonder what's gotten into Bella? I know alcamahol actually makes sleep worse, but it really made a big difference in a positive way last nite!
Stella-- I'm hoping the lack of headache this ayem is a sign the sinus infection is clearing up. Hope you found a comfy place on the floor last nite!
Wahine--I have a battery charger that I use with my riding mower. I have used it to re-charge my car battery, too. As I recall it didn't cost a whole lot, certainly less than replacing a battery, and is really helpful since I don't remember to keep running the mower during the winter. You might want to look into getting one! Yikes about the leaking roof! That is not a good sign. Hope you caught it before it became too big a mess!

Yeah NM, we have two battery chargers! Ever since we had a farm, I have made sure to have them. The newer one wouldn't do ANYTHING this ayem, but he hooked up the older one, and hope to at least get to the shop. Thanks though, in case we didn't have any, that would have been good to get one. We have used them a lot...I used to have THREE, but gave one to my DD and SIL. Always keep 2 in case 1 konks out. (I also have TWO air compressors...the big one was from having the farm...I counted it up once and we had like 24 tires or so that used air!). Handy to have, though. I used to make the girls check all our vehicles (after my DH passed away) every month...they would check tire pressure, oil, etc.). Now we never check them, but it did give the girls a good idea of how to maintain their own cars.
Hmmmmm....Stella youse is a handful! Portending to be Dorkie....yet agin!!! LOL.
NM, I am at standstill in my *office* and the attic....maybe I can clone you and you can help me organize too! Well yeah, I know, who would want to do THAT! hehehe

Good Noon time--MY DD IS VACUUMING AGAIN-whn she was young and vacuumed at home she never turned it on -she'd just run it over the carets a few times so it looked like she did---NOW SHE TURNS THE DAMN THIN ON.

NM I forget everything --are u a nurse?--there are a couple on here right? Well I'm glad u membered to take u'r Tylenol--it's funny how that works. It's like OK she's going to have a headache so let's get movin so we can stop it. Never understood Tylenol or aspirin--fever, or headace what do we do?? I picture talking pills sometimes. If they can have food talking in commercils, I can sure as hell have meds talking.
Oh and when I "sacrificed" myself for my sister I din't mean it--it just hapened--I'm not a crazy martyr- but I do keep on reminding her what I did for her and look what it's done to me hahaha That's what sisters do.
Today is scary movie day--I am now watching The Mongolian Death worm--sounds boring? but there is more than one. So the excitement of waiting for that next one to pop up is awesome. I'm getting to a new low.
And no one has heard more from Lara? I hope she's resting and more comfortable. I hate that there is so much pain with this--I mean what u gals go thru for this sounds horrible cuz there is no pain taking them off so I feel that's really not fair. Well for me it was fair, but u know what I mean.

LOL Cami, I know that was jest a coincidental...but WHAT a coincidence! yeah, we have TWO nurses!!! (I had 1 yr LPN school and army field medic training if that counts)....so maybe we have 2 1/2 nurses...lol. Well DH DID come upstairs...but only to see what extra supplements and vitamins he had up here...silly guy....I told him I would get whatever he needed. AND he did hook up the charger and is now running errands with the car...can't keep him down. Love your "bag off the cat"! haha
