Omg SAS...looking at those pointy kidney stones that you passed made my left kidney cramp up...brought back a flood of memories of all that pain and the 2 surgeries from Nov/Dec 2013. The worse pain I have ever experienced has been from Kidney stones. You are one tough cookie SAS to tolerate and breathe thru the pain of passing those monsters.

Blessings I think that is an amazing Back Brace. Most of my osteoporosis is in my lower spine and I think I would feel great back support if I wore ths while I exercised.

Teka, I will miss your posts. The pics you post showing your reactions to posts always crack me up. Take good care of yourself.

I love all the pics people are posting. I have an old iPad without JavaScript so I can't post pics.

2nd where did you disappear to?

    No snakes in doghouse please.

Blondie!  Are you HOME and on morphine?  I just want you to have a pain-free Sunday.... then we'll work on tomorrow!

Sass!  WTH is "if anyone finds that psot on PCP's god bless you!"???

I TRY and help you, but I don't think I can help, because I don't know what that IS ... anymore than King of Hearts!

Cammi, do you know?  Are we BOTH baffled.... yet again???

Yes Susan.... anyone who doesn't like a little snake, is, well....  un-educated in the habits and whims of snakes.    I just don't like their eating habits...image  I would open up a can of dog-food, and tell them, "That's it!... eat it or go hungry!"  Except I DID used to feed my fish slugs out of my garden!    Come to think of it, OWLS are not exactly vegetarians either!

Susan,You are a hair-dresser?  I used to do my cousins, neighbors, and friends hair!  I would charge a dollar!  And I only did their hair one way.... like MINE!  Ha, ha!   That's the only way I knew!

And I could style hair pieces.... ONE WAY!  But .... oh wait!  I'll find a picture and post it sometime...I was not very versatile, you could say.

Badger, what is an acronym?  There you go again.... saying things we (me and Cammi) do not understand!  And forget about EGRP!  But I LOVE that beautiful OWL!

Dutchess!  You had BETTER go get that checked out!  It could be sort of infection!!!  Oh wait till Sassy hears THIS one!

MM!  Really nice video!  Thanks for sharing!

Teka.... are you alright?  Can't you just stop by once in awhile?   Just wish you were feeling better!  ((((Teka))))

Susan, sorry about your DH.... I KNOW!  Companies do NOT like it if you are lucky enough to make it past 60.... they always want new ideas and younger people... So much for loyalty...

I worked part-time for Coors, from 1980 Until 1999... It started out as such a great company and family to work for!  They were all like our own  family, and we worked along side the "kids" and even the older Coors guys...

But companies all go through changes...  I'm just glad I was there when I was....  I loved my job, and people I worked with....

Morning Wren and Tang!  Pawprint!  Okay, if we have a pet snake, we will keep her in a cage...

Lilshit!  You are sure being quiet.... So that means you are either in trouble, or off on another .... uh..... mission, or whatever you call it....

Cammi!  You back in bed?  Such a little sleepy-head!  Okay.... talk to y'all later! xoxoxo

Mornin' all, Teka will miss you!  Take care and see you in June.

Chevy, an acronym is when you take the first letters of words in a phrase and use them as shorthand.  For example, Susan used EGRP to mean "extra grace required people" which I love, being in a customer-service business where I have to be nice to everyone even when I don't want to.  LOL (laugh out loud). ♥

TeKAAAAAAAAAA, I knew something was up. You weren't posting as much. Hoped it was a BCO vacation. I had two bouts of divertic and then we took out the offending section . That was  aug 2001. Celebrex caused the 2nd bout. Part of why I have a soap box item about NSAIDS and all drugs. Okay thinking  & mulling, that's 4 weeks till June, I looked at the calendar.

I'll post the constipation thread page on divertic. Regretfully, per usual it's written from a professional view and personal view i.e standing by the bed and in the bed.

    Morning all..

Badger, is your avatar a grand kiddo? I always smile when I see it...

Chevster, so now you have baffled me...what in the beejeebees is a fish slug?

I want to spend my whole day in the recliner..Not gonna happen, but it sure sounds good.

Fierce BBird, Blondie, Tangarang, Nettie, Susan, Cami, the newbie ?, & all that are hurting...sending healing wishes for a comfortable Sunday...

Waving hello to all....2ndTime....better check in cause we will come looking for you...We will need a pan of your yummy enchiladas for our "dog house" buffet...

Chevy, they should of never let you out of the bed. You met all the criteria for a fracture when admitted to the ER. That's why I said all their training was ignored. Their mind set or brains were it the wastebasket. Just b/c they acted after the xray was back doesn't mean they shouldn't have treated you as having a fracture prior to that. Guarantee when the xray or mri came back, whomever saw it that knew you were left in and  up to the toilet  by yourself said "Holy Crap" or  whatever swear words. Maybe a whole string of them. Just b/c your fx didn't get worse, doesn't mean you weren't at very high risk for it getting worse. Chevy you keep forgetting I KNOW EVERYTHING..... ROTFLOL.....Not really---just last week I had to learn how to pee with RAI131......... but in your case, I was a paramedic, ER nurse, Or nurse, Taught in the OR, post Op and Surgical staff nurse....plus, taught medics, nursing students and other staff nurses--- anatomy, fracture(fx) assessment, Fx management. Plus, was one of 13 that wrote a book on trauma. So, when I say the staff screwed up---they screwed UP.

BleSSings, what a time you've had. Thank God your sister and BIL have you. The future looks real tough for them.      Yes, your right re: using the stuff you know, but now your retired. It does keep the juices going and sometimes it helps someone else :).....The back thing is masterful. Love inventors The first time I saw that ring pull I laughed out loud----IT MADE so much sense....i.e the patient will know when it's just right once taught". PRIOR to this someone else was putting on a device to the tightness they thought it out to be.

Littlegoats thanks for looking, just wish I'd saved the PCP thing. I know I've done it several times. Oh well ........Goats have special Hay. Is it a digestion thing? Did you see the pic on the W&F page with the rabbit mower? Is there a way to put the goats out to do the lawn? I forget is Bucky gone?

Dutchy wHere is the problem? that Cami and Chevy are referring too?

Ziggy watched King of Hearts last night. Couldn't get the subtitles working. Had to watch in the french. The acting is so good , you can understand everything with out knowing anything that they are talking about-----cool.

Hiya Sassy. Being an absolute "sinner" this morning. No SS/worship service. May talk myself into evening church. Welcoming new Young Adult Minister. Was youth minister during his seminary schooling and moved to his own church. Our church rehired him in new position, they love him so much.

Well, goats eat what they call "horse hay" - coastal bermuda. Looks like bermuda grass in reg. lawn. Not alfalfa the really green stuff - to rich for just pasture goats but is also a horse hay. But coastal horse hay is a step up from coastal "cow hay" which may be stickery. The dumb thing is goats LOVE weeds which is in the cow hay but I'm not willing to risk the stickery part. I have a creekside lined with growing elm trees and an excellent lopper so might cut branches later. DH is off Tues. so might wait for him. I don't do well in heat but it's not like it's a great long walk from back to house. You can get some deals on hay but you have to buy a truck load - neighbor does that but he has big barn to store it in. I have only a shed like from Lowe's. I can get about 20 bales in it. That's why DH bought a utility trailer last year, to transport or store hay. Unfortunately unless we get some more rain I think all our hay will be from out of state.

I dread to think of vegie prices with CA drought worsening. If you see beef on sale, buy it. It's not going to go down in price long term. Might short term as many are cutting herds to minimum.

No Mr. Bucky is still here. Wrong time of year to sell him - late summer better, breeding beginning. But I have 3 old goats that will not be here next year, just can tell. Only thing is I would love to open all pens up and let them roam where they will but can't because of him. He intimidates his penmate (one of the old ones but outweighs Mr. B by prob. 15#) but this time of year OK. Penmate has a doghouse to get in from the rain and hopefully no more cold (38 last week).

You mean you don't speak French along with all you other qualifications? I had 2 years HS and 2.5 years college. I can tell just enough to get drift but could never converse. Tend to get Spanish/French words interchanged. Also had 1 year HS Latin.

Dutchy said her arm hurt and was a little swollen. Unable to reach BS - out of the office. How is it today Dutchy? Does warm napping kitty feel good on it?

Ah, Sas, I have pain in the medial aspect of my arm from my axilla to my wrist when I raise it.  I think I have some cording visible in my axilla.  I had very mild swelling in my arm Thursday and Friday I also had some tingling in my thumb.  My friends in PT gave me a temporary sleeve of that elastic tubing.  I have a call in to my BS.  I don't have a fever or any redness.  Do you think it would ever be a bad thing to get fitted for a sleeve?

Chevy, I'm with Sas.  I can't believe they had you get up at all with a suspected hip fracture.I'm an Xray tech and I would have never let you get up.

Thanks, Luvs.  I think its getting better.  I still have some pain and pulling in the inside of my upper arm.  I have no discomfort at rest.

Again I'm so far behind--u guys yak it up good.

Chevy this is sad, but 1/2 of what's talked about doesn't get in my brain correctly, I've really gooen lame brain.  But I love u'r way of doing hair hahaha it's hysterical.Susan's got to see the fun in that one.

Everyone is talking about the ER and when I went to Elmhurst, not me so much, my sister, her DH. my SIL and DD they all knew everyone after a while--but there was a Dr. there with a ponytail and looked like a hippy and he was far beyond the normal Dr. It got to the point when u'd call first to see if he was there before coming in--He did (we found out) had his own practice, but he loved ER- he would say It keeps him up on everything and all the ER Drs. called him over when they were stumplt and He'd quickly evaluate it and wham he had it--He looked like he didn't know the day it was but chit that man was unreal. He was probably late 30's then and really was handsome too. He had it all.

OK BBL I wish all have a good day today--no pain, or anything bad just nice.

SingingMorning ladies - really it's afternoon, but I just got up.  I've been aching so bad lately and finally realized that it's lack of sleep.  You'd think it would be a dead giveaway when everytime I sat down anywhere I'd fall asleep... Anyway, I got plenty last night, so am hoping the aches and pains will be a little reduced today.

Home from Hawaii.  It was a good trip.  When we left we thought we had purchased a condo - it looked to be all over but the final signing (and handing over the money, of course).  But we got all the paperwork just before we got on the plane, and found a couple really uncomfortable items - so decided not to do it.  I thought I'd be depressed over it, but actually I'm relieved.  Too much commitment for vacations.  I'd rather go different places.  I actually think I'm a little tired of always heading for Hawaii - I miss going to the Caribbean, so will try to convince hubby to go there next year.  It's hard to pass up visiting the grandkids, though.

Hubby and I realized that next year is our twenty-fifth anniversary, so want to plan something extra special.  I'm rooting for a Mediterranean cruise, but maybe it'll be something a little closer to home - like a float down the Colorado river.  Anyway, whatever we pick, I really want it to be special.  Our twentieth anniversary was celebrated by me being diagnosed with cancer.

    Gardengumpy,

Did you see my post 2 days ago when I threaten to post my 500 pics of the Grand Canyon? You would not be disappointed. I joined the trip that was in process by hiking in on the Bright Angel Trail.. Some folks do that & hop on a commercial trip. My DH had a private permit & they had been on for 6 nights when I got there. Google the Bright Angel Trail....it is amazing.

camii--yes, that happens---he kept up, probably spent a specified amount of hours a week keeping up on journal reading. the others could too, but perhaps didn't.

The " ER rush"  was he was able to apply the learning. Nothing MORE BORING then learning with no application. ADHD people fit into ER quite well LOL. Yes, there are the boring ER cases, but the 'rush' is the trauma, arrest--serious cases. "The effort to save" just coined that. Their is nothing more exhilarating in life, than saving a life. Their is also nothing more scary in life, then in the moments between saving a life, and not being able to save a life. Because you don't know how it will turn out till it's done. Wrecks HAVOC with the adrenaline system. Those that can do it are special.

Pm'd with Teka---she's going to try and keep up with W&F's, but her own health and well being comes first(my words).

With W&F's take time to transfer to there your goodie connections---visual, youtube, etc. or even go and find things to post there. Oriiginally, I thought of it as storage place for all the Stuff, so, we wouldn't loose them as time and pages fly by.

Well, it's more than that. It's a place our sisters and brothers can go to when they are recovering from sx's , chemo's, rads.......or as time passes for those that the damnables disease causes them to be to weak to socialize , but they can find refuge in our wicked humor, peaceful thoughts, memories of past or present music. A diversity of things that affects our thoughts and makes the heart and soul happy. So, when you post the "Whatever " here post it there. The difference is no words. :) sassy
