Oh Chevy my kids come home beside as long as she;s fed and watered she's fine so she needs no care for one night--but they have to come home for the dog. and then my Katie-Kat will sleep right where I do til I come home.But I might just come home tonite--sometimes it's to many people and to much going on all night and I wish I stil do that but I don't. So we'll  see.

I am the still planting flowers, moving perennials. Lots of stuff blooming. Headed out to golf in an hour. My hips, shoulders & back have been very sore since I got that deep tissue massage on Thurs. not sure if I need to do that again. I have also started sleeping like a teenager. 9-10 hours a night. It's ok with me, I figure my body is healing, or maybe my mind.....lol...

Hope all has something fun going on this weekend.

I'm here, I'm ok, just haven't had much to say. Trying to wrap my brain around why 2 people I *thought* were friends have disappeared. 20 plus years, poof! Not ca related. Hurts, ya know?

Spookie.... It's just the way it is....  My one childhood friend, just sort of gave up on Carol and myself....  She just changed after her hip surgery, and decided to stay in a wheel-chair, and not get re-hab.... and just have her DH and her family take care of her!  It was "easier" that way. 

Everytime we would meet for lunch, her whole family came, because they had to bring her.... She gave up driving, or meeting us, and then didn't want to hear how OUR lives were going, and just "changed..."  So we didn't bother anymore....  Went to her DH's funeral, and that's the last we saw her.... She never even called us.... we saw it in the paper... 

So "friends" like that are not even friends.... 

Congratulations Chabba!   And Nettie!  Another "Gear-head!"  Ha, ha!  Yes, I'll bet that Little Chit Kyle will win again....   It's nice to see the newer, and younger guys win though.... Glad "Smoke" is able to race again....  Did you see Danica is 3rd in the lineup?   Don't think she will win, but she is getting experience! 

hello 2nd..didn't mean to forget you hope u r doing well. And smarty....so jealous of you sewing . I have made one quilt,  a quilted pillow and Halloween costumes. You know what my problem is? Please no laughing....ANYONE....I can't thread the machine the right way. I have a good machine now. Apparently that wasn't  the problem, it's really me...oh what a mess I make. So if someone is around who can keep rethreading the machine...I'm not bad

Thanks for all the words of wisdom.  I've deleted them from my phone. I know one isn't sick, dropped a Happy Retirement card on her car Fri at her work. The other? Who knows. 

So I'm going to stay in the a/c tomorrow and give the dogs baths. All of you planting things, the heat just melts flowers. Flower envy here!

I needed a small repair done. My machine was new in 71, but is now buried in storage. We got along well, it wasn't hard to use. 

So I took my repair to DDs house. The machines over there mom, help yourself! Never seen such a confusing thing. Couldn't figure how to turn the light on, much less thread it! DD did repair. My iPhone is a heck of a lot easier to use!

Oh yeah, random question....I'll ask my doc too, but thought I'd see what ya'll knew about this.

I have 2 daughters, what age will they need to start mammo's since I have had this dx?

good to,here your hanging in there tang . Don't have an answer for you about your daughters. Mine is 24,  and I think she will,start at 30.   Cause my cancer started at 38/39 yrs old.

Tang, glad to hear you're doing well on the Levaquin.  Re: your daughters, have you been tested for BRCA?  I would think that might play a part in their mammogram future.  If you are BRCA positive it might push up the age a bit for your girls.  

Someone mentioned ice cream with oatmeal (I should go back and look but I'm in the middle of the reply).  I think it sounds great!  I put a 1/4 cup of steel cut oats in my smoothie every morning (uncooked) and I like regular oatmeal (cooked) as well.

And I would make sure our Daughter's knew about the  BRCA gene, that is sometimes inherited  from us....  I asked my Surgeon about this...    I don't know if there is a test for them, but OUR Doc's know if we carry it.   And in that case, they just have to watch their check-ups more closely...

I started getting mammogram's when I was 40.... every year.... mainly because my Mom had breast cancer...  So did my Aunt on my Dad's side, and my Brother's Daughter.    HER Mother also had BC, but later in life, like me.

But now, with so many younger women getting BC, I would make sure they know to do their own breast exams, and maybe start Mammograms earlier...  

Oh?  And so we hear from Lilshit?  What did you do little one, break a few more fingers?  And can't type?   Is your day so taken up with flower plantings, and  yard-time that you can't take a few minutes to stop by HERE?

Nettie, I didn't watch all the race, but Jimmie Johnson won it right?  Isn't that something that Kurt Busch ran the Indy 500, and then flew to the Nascar race to run IT?  And his engine blew?  But he was so excited that he could run BOTH!    I just don't know how ANYone can drive like 180 miles an hour for 3 hours or more!  I can only do it for maybe one mile.... Ha!

I didn't know if my Mom had the BRCA gene either...  Did they even test in those days?  She was older also... maybe 60 I think.... But maybe they assume that since WE don't have it, they didn't either, and therefore we can't pass it on to our Daughter's.

That still doesn't mean our Daughter's are in the clear..  I think ANYone can develop cancer, for 100 different reasons.  My Surgeon said that our cells are constantly dying and we have "new" ones...  But sometimes they "change" and then we get breast cancer.... maybe it's that way with a LOT of things that go wrong...
