thanks guys. There's 24 in the group, no one has dropped out. Every week it's posted how much wight the group has lost. We stay around 58 lbs or so each week. You can really tell on some of us. I don't feel like I have more energy. If anything the exercising just poops me out for the rest of the day. My blood pressure was never high before now I'm running about 110/80. I don't know if that's it. Seems kinda low to me but the doc said it was fine.

During the whole program, my BP was 108/68!!!!! Sure could use that now...

yep mine stays low also. Usually the machine won't pick it up and nurses have a hard time hearing it. My mo says as long as no side effects like fainting, heart fluttering etc. Than it's not to worry about. Way better than too high

hi Owlettes! I've been lurking - when I can. Crazy exhausted last week, zero energy, motivation or focus. Thought this would be catch-up week! Ha! Not a chance. DD told me 2 days ago she was moving this weekend and had friends to help. So much had to be done around here to accommodate that. Then last night told me she needs me to help her move tomorrow as she works all weekend using DH's truck. Been running around since 6:30 this morning, finally sat down about half an hour ago. Busy next couple of days so hoping to catch up soon.
Smaarty, am so impressed with your weight loss!
Big gentle hugs for all whom need them and for those who want them!

I had my 3rd iron infusion today and I swear all I smell is iron. Really sucky. The lady in the chemo chair next to me was in her 90's...she looked great and even volunteers at the hospital. She has chemo every 3 weeks. She has so much positive energy. Next week, I will be 60 and I can barely walk from no energy.
I'm so tired tonight. Had labs done prior to infusion and sure hope my blood counts are up. Came home tonight to an ant invasion....I swear I must live on an ant hill. When the days get hot, the ants find a way somehow into the house, and there is no line of ants, they are just magically there. Because of my dogs I won't use harsh chemicals. I've tried orange oil, and tonight put a line of baby powder down along the base boards and the tile. I heard that might work. These little black ants bite....ugh! Ok guys (gals), give me some 'safe for pet' ideas on getting rid of ants.

hey Patty P! Have missed playing with you on the word games threads. Trying to get back to the games, mind can't focus on a long post, even having probs with the word games. DD moved out day after HS graduation 2 years ago, moved back last July when the condo they were living in was sold. I think she's had problems readjusting to living "back at home" after freedom, might be a partial cause of her rebellion. She works outrageous hours. Opens the Y at 5 am, break during the day, ends her day between 6 and 7 PM. Then crappy crazy traffic to dive here. She's moving about 25-30 miles away but closer to school/work. She had a 4-hr break, if she was moved in, she could have taken some time for a 2-hr nap. Helping her move tomorrow (She took clothes and stuff there yesterday and today while I spent the last 2 days getting things together for her for the move, she packed DH's truck and her car tonight so tomorrow I get to see the place), then out to my parents tomorrow night to help dad get some things done (assemble some patio furniture for him for Fathers' Day), then meeting some BCO ladies Saturday which is close to her home.

Pawprint, hope you're feeling better, getting some energy back. Does cinnamon gum or mints help with the iron? When I was on chemo, I used cinnamon game to get rid of the metallic taste.
Hopefully, will be back on a more regular basis.
Have a great weekend all!

I had pet chickens when I was little - they were excellent pets...

MM! OH THAT WAS SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! Ha, ha! I sent it by email to my chicken neighbor, and her 2 little girls.
Those chickens are so TAME! When I take them their fresh food, and go in their coop, they all come around my legs, waiting for me to put their treats in their pan...
And I reach down and pet them! If I got DOWN to sit with them, I would never get UP! And you really wouldn't want to do that in there.... with them....
So MORNing gals! Glad DD is getting things together 222nd! And is it okay if we call you Maddy?
Sorry Littlepaws! Tastes like a mouthful of nails, right? I had that once, and I forget what caused it... probably an antibiotic or something. P-Patty said something about cinnamon? I LOVE those hard candies from Jolly Rancher! They even help if you have a cough, I mean better than cough-drops.
You know, if you had some chalk? Then draw a line close to your cupboards, fridge, and all along door-ways, it's supposed to stop the ants.... And I've used those little "ant-traps" and set them where our dog couldn't get to them.... Like part way under the fridge, etc.
PattyPeppermint, I just LOVE your name! It is just the cutest! I can't even screw that up.... ! So have you guys tried broken peppermints in your coffee? It's really good!
Smarty, that is so GREAT! I mean all the weight loss! So tell me again, which program is it? And you can't eat SALADS? Did you say it is all liquids, or am I getting it totally wrong?
Blessings! Man, your back is really a mess! My MOM had like bone-spurs along her spine, and they had to scrape them off... degenerative disease is really common.... You are still young though! I mean compared to ME, EVERYone is young!
I hurt mine, when I was about 40... Had surgery about a year later, and so far, doing good!
Just have to stay off that pole awhile longer!
Peppermint, what show? Do you remember the name? And is it a series?
Yes Susan, we all have attitude, right? We NEED it.... and the older we get, you will find it just necessary!
Nettie, we didn't desert... just probably doing something else mundane!

smaarty..great news be proud ..your doing great...awesome

And yes I have been up till 3 the last few nights. Night feeling good at all, restless leg on top of that not happy...but today I think I figured it out. Kinda stuck in the bathroom. Not sure if it's the flu or just a real bad stomach. Have had bad acid reflux these days also. Not eating much cause I have no appetite. Something's up..not sure what. But today I have a totally free day. Do I think I will be hanging around the bathroom and my bedroom, and trying to catch up on some sleep.
Nettie, hope your back is a bit better today
2nd...hope you get a 2nd wind soon

pawprint...sorry you r so tired. When do you get your blood counts back to know what they are...what were they on the last draw?.
For ants .we put something around our house at the foundation. It's a white powder. I can ask my hubby when he gets home if you want. Keeps all ants away. Starts with a d I think. Don't think it is safe for animals, but since it is at the foundation, my dog is never over there, so she is safe.
Mostlymom,.cute video. I have a pic of my when I was about that age holding one of my uncles ducks..one of my favpictures

you better!Pawprint, hope your counts are up, sorry about iron

Well, nevermind, nothing is posting for me this morning!0 -

Since we're doing birds this morning. (I wouldn't drink this!)
The program is by Opifast. No food until end of July. All liquids except for a bar. I didn't think I had it in me to do something like this, but it's working so I'm not quilting now.
Paws, try the original blue Dawn liquid soap, I just read a long list of stuff it's good for and it's safe for animals. If you want I can try and find it again from Facebook.

I recently saw that putting coffee grounds down will stop ants. Smells good anyway. Or borax powder. That's the white stuff.

Chevy - I think the weekly show I was talking about is Chasing Life. Anybody seen it and loved it ?
2nd wow you are busy. I miss you in the games rooms :-(
Nettie. Hope you are having a pain free day.

quickly stopping by, waiting for DD to return from errands. Have been missing everyone!
Please call me 2nd or 2TA just not late for meals and hugs.
Pawprint, our area used to orange groves so ants for several years. Not after food, but would come up water pipes, especially in bathrooms for water and to escape the heat. Baby powder (corn starch?) works great, safe around pets but messy. Also heard chalk line around house perimeter, ants won't cross over (like sidewalk chalk, also safe for pets). Hope you feel better
Hugs all around!
Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone--Oh chickens again--it's like a nitemare continuing all the time.
I've read peppermint oi; on a cottom ball does the trick for a few critters luking around, they don't like the smell, yet it smells good to us.
And now u guys have upped the pics to moving ones--showoffs.
Smaarty Congrats for the weight loss-that is wonderful.
I never understood those numbers for blood stuff but I think they figure more normal when u'r getting things done or rads or chemo--they know they'll be off so it's normal to them. And when they say don't worry about something remember they are talking about cancer not anything else--that's where all the other Drs. come in to maybe help--but once things start crumbling (as I put it) it 's hard to fix they always give u pt to strengthen the muscles around u'r discs to hold them together, even tho they are disintergrating along with your vertebrae, extreme arthritis usually get involved and scoliosis and osteoporosis all at the same time and it's not from age when it comes that fast (I think again) it's part of the crap we get to fight off cancer and that's exactly what the Onc is interested in. Tht's why I see 5 more Drs. for all the SE's and they try to help but don't all the time. It's unending but as long as they can keep the cancer in remission and away the Onc is doing their job. And I'm always on pain meds, it just part of my life and the vitamins to build u'r bones is very important cuz most of us have had the estrogen sucked right out of us for our bones especially if u are her+. But I love to here when u gals say u'r feeling good and when it's over no awful SE's lasting--and it happens all the time so don't think all of this will happen but maybe u don't have to fear it either.
OMG I'm serious to long it really affects my brain cells, the few I have left that actually work. BTW this is all my thinking there are no studies or fact to anything I say so don't read it like an actual study, I'm just giving u my opinion of what I've been thru----
That is the name of that show I haven't watched it either, but if I had money I would do much more too. LOL
OK my eyes are blurring, I need new glasses me thinks. I hope everyone starts the weekend off doing well.

Chevy, that Piano pic is pretty but sad at the same time! Sad to think that the old Grand had seen it's better days!
And for whoever asked or commented, I'm feeling a little better today, still have back pain, and didn't sleep last night from the hip into leg pain, but the back pain seems a little less intense today!
I have a busy weekend, crawfish boil, VBS commencement, Fish Fry, church on Sunday and somewhere in between, hopefully all of my "house guest"/boarders will be going home so that I can get my house back into somewhat order!
Ok, just to add to the blood work details, I received my labs from my MO appt in February, the details of the "off" things were almost the same except that now the WBC & RBC were even a little bit lower, so now I'm wondering if I should call the MO because I would think that he would expect the counts to be coming up not going down! Haven't had chemo since August or Rads since October!

Well, I got a laugh out of the following, maybe some of you will also:A RETIREE'S LAST TRIP TO COSTCO
Yesterday I was at Costco buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Necco, the Wonder Dog, which weighs 191 lbs. I was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant?
...
So because I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices, and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and that the way that it works is, to load your jacket pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no,
I stopped to pee on a Fire Hydrant and a car hit me.I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
Costco won't let me shop there anymore.
Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the World to think of crazy things to say. Forward this (especially) to all your retired friends...it will be their laugh for the day

hello to all....
Friday the 13th, a full moon & summer solstice soon. It stays light here until 9:45 in the evening right now, crazy huh? We love it.
Nettie, I had a CBC a month ago.
WBC 2.4
RBC 3.86
A couple others low, a few high. I, like you do not understand how my WBC can be so low, 6 months post fu€kin¥ chemo. My MO says don't worry. I wish I trusted her more. But, it was low before I started chemo, so.....I need to ask for my CBC records from 3 years ago when I had my gut problems.
I am told it takes at least a year for our bodies to start be normal after all that poison.
Smaarty, I do not know how you do it, but a big Congrats ! I have lost a lot of weight in the last few years, but all health related. I do eat a much better diet now.
Hope all has a great weekend, BBL
