Ruth, count me in too. I am pretty sure I could talk my DH into staying home for that one! Not much else though. He has been glued to my side since all of this began. lol

5 kms walking yesterday, plus a couple loads of laundry and chasing the dumb lab around the yard. Did I tell you about my dumb lab? One quick story. My cat came in from outside and curled up on a kitchen chair. Dogs being dogs, Cleo wanted to sniff and find out where she'd been. But she did it from the front - she stuffed her big old head under the cats chin, through her front legs, under her belly and took a sniff. Then she straightened up and walked away.... wearing the cat like a hat. My cat was displeased. Happy

Got to gym yesterday for circuit training and included my light kettle bells.   Raining pretty hard so going to do yoga today and save the runs for later this weekend when the sun is predicted to appear.  Headed to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend for Happy Daddy Day.  This is a tough one for our family as it is my DS angel-versary - 3 years. I miss him everyday.  8 yr old fought brain cancer called DIPG for 19 months.    We all know how horrible BC is from experience.   Pediatric brain cancer is so cruel - it kills babies and children -  we don't have effective treatments and no cure - we desperately need a cure --- for all cancers.   Exercise helps me feel better -- physically anyway - the emotions get a boost from it too.

Dumb Lab, smart cat - cat got free ride to other side of the room.

Cheryl, you don't trust Ruth to catch you?  I promise, she won't let you fall too far!

mz_mes, so very sorry for your loss.  It's tough losing a child and for your family to have had to go through it for 19 months... There are simply no words.

ms mes I am so sad to hear your story. I wish you good memories through the sadness for this anniversary.   I have a son who is chronically ill, diagnosed 10 years ago. I know the stress and fears but never had to face your loss. My heart goes out to you.

(((mz-mes))) wishing and hoping all of you have a gentle, peaceful weekend including lots of sunshine whilst wearing black dog tee shirts.  I can't even imagine yet I felt it through your words and you too (((TwoHobbies))).

Now on the recovery end for DH and surgery went better than anticipated by finding tendons bruised yet intact. One of nerves out of three was severed so most feeling will return. Pain is being managed and left hand upright, unless hunting and pecking on his work laptop downstairs. My inner chimp has not been helpful yet stress reduciton has taken it down a few notches.  Yes, it has been a rocky year for him and well, onwards!

Body balance at the gym this morning.

Sounds like mostly good news on your husband's surgery, Lilac.

Still not feeling great but getting through each day.  Decided that I deserved ice cream at dinner, then thought I better for sure get a walk in due to that.  So I didn't want to go but I walked 30 minutes.  I'm trying to get more than 150 minutes a week in, but at minimum the 150, so tomorrow I'll have at least 45 to do.  There will be plenty of lawn to mow after three days of heavy rain, so my plan is laid out!

Thinking of you and your family this weekend, mzmes, and sending hugs your way. And to you also, TwoHobbys.

Did the abs & now MUST get to some paperwork I've been avoiding.

Jogged around the block today. I'm dog-sitting a greyhound for two weeks so I have an exercise buddy. She'll go as fast as I can keep up :-)

LOL Ruth, good one!  (It's true, and I would follow you anywhere.)

Went to a bluegrass concert Thurs (got to wear my Telluride shirt) and stopped by to visit mom Fri so no walks after work for two days.  Made up for it with a 5-mile walk this morning in the glorious a.m. cool.

Cheryl, Sweet and TwoHobbies, hope you're all feeling better.

((LB)) your family has had one heckuva year!

((mz_mes)) hope it's a healing weekend for you.

Red, LOL at your dog wearing your cat as a hat.

Here's a link to timeshare spa resorts!  The quicker we book the better the room(s) we can get.  https://www.wyndhamvacationresorts.com/ffr/resort/...

Going to see Il Volo with the Wisconsin Philharmonic next Sat.  Booked tix as a surprise to mom, who LOVES them.  She was thrilled and it made me happy to treat her.  Here they are live on American Idol.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbZvz0pXV48

Hope everyone has a great weekend! ♥ to all

    That made me laugh, Ruth.

I did my yard work today for my exercise and some housework too.  45 minute lawn mowing, 25 minute pruning bushes with the hand pruners, 30 minutes weeding and however long it takes to clean three bathrooms, one kitchen and two loads of laundry. I also did 40 minutes sunning (vitamin D, I like to keep an all-around program here).  Now I'll probably need two cancer killing aspirin!

Woohoo, first day back at the gym and feeling pretty good. This morning I walked over 2 miles to the farmers market then we went to the gym where I did 30 min of cardio (minus arms). Glad to finally be able to add in some activity points to my Weight Watchers Tracker again!

Ms mez, I have no words but send heartfelt hugs and prayers for peace for your family this weekend.

Red, love the dumb lan story. Had a black lab who wasn't always the smartest dog but so loveable. Have a blast in Rome and take lots of pictures.

Badger, what a sweet gesture for your mom. Have a great time making wonderful memories.

Exercise yesterday and today was lots of walking between Costco and the grocery store. Will add some housework and laundry after I finish getting my vitamin D by the pool.

Nice walk today and then more decluttering/packing away so about 3 hours altogether.  Tomorrow either gym or go to a beach and walk the boardwalk.

Thanks badger for the timeshare link.  I took a quick look.  We had mentioned New Orleans as a possibility and there is one there so that might work for building in relaxation though I'm not sure how far to the beach (one area attraction is a lake).  Florida has 2 on the Gulf which might be nice.  in Mexico I saw Cozumel and San Cabo spas but not sure if interested parties want to go out of the country.  There are lots on the CA coast.

OK, melatonin kicking in - night my sculpted friends.

Well I spent a lot of time looking and of course now can't remember which ones I liked best so I'll have to go back tomorrow but there were a couple in Florida and one if I remember in Orlando that had spa facilities, you know me I don't care where I go just never in that DC humidity again although if there was a pool boy involved hmmmmmmmmLoopy

Ms_mez sending you gentle (((HUGS))) there are no words, wishing you a peaceful weekend with happy memories of your baby. Badger what a lovely treat for your Mom. Red that is a great dog story, nothing like a loveable dumb mutt.

I went to a special anniversary party at one of the gyms this morning, they put on a special program and I did Body Pump and Body Jam and then they had a raffle give away and I won a free one month membership, they took me straight out to the front desk and did some paperwork and so no auto charge for me next month woohooooo.

Hi sculpted sisters! I've been off of the boards for a bit due to some crazy family stuff, so I know I will never catch up here!

Thinking of you all and I'm so sorry to hear about your loss ms_mez. Gentle hugs to you.

I haven't been good at exercising this week, but tomorrow is a new day!

    Safe travels Red!

hbcheryl, I don't know where you get all that energy! Can you send some my way???? Congrats on your free membership!!

Ruth, definitely interested in the next trip if it's in the US.

Badger, What a wonderful thing to do for your Mom!!

LiliacBlue, sending healing thoughts to your husband.

Apologies if I've missed anyone - I'm horrible at keeping up :)

hi Beppy!  In case you missed it, thanks again for the bookmark!

Looks like rain, which we need so I will not complain about it, so I got out early and walked my 2.5 mile route.  Today's agenda is catching up on laundry and bookwork.  Oh Boy - NOT!

I'm going to put up two links.  One is all Wyndham resorts.

    https://www.wyndhamvacationresorts.com/ffr/resort/...

Two is the advanced search page to select resort features.

    https://www.wyndhamvacationresorts.com/ffr/resort/...

There are eight options with both "Beach" and "Spa" but as much as I'd like to visit Australia, the resort @ New South Wales is out LOL.

Fun to dream, isn't it?  Have a great day ladies! ♥ to all

Thanks all for the healing thoughts and well wishes for my DH. Our DS gave him new heavy duty gardening gloves for Father's Day and bandaged finger one is doing well enough to head off to work in London tomorrow .

This morning ran 31:14  5k Race For Life to benefit Cancer Research UK. Everyone runs with a sign on their backs stating: "I Race For Life For"... and you fill in a bubble for whom, mum, dad, grandad, etc..  This year I was running for:
