Tang what an ordeal. Your remarks re:the pain, so true. I'm amazed every day that what I used to consider normal pain is gone. Like a weight is lifted. Very nice. Happy for you that part is gone. Glad it didn't get in the blood stream.  Chemo and Rads can interfere with healing. You've already seen what chemo can do. How much time to rads? Congratulations Sweetie on finishing chemo :)

Sharon....yes the raised beds are cedar as yes they are lined to hold the dirt in but the moisture can go through.

So happy you r done tang..almost home..down the last stretch now :)

Smaarty, I wish I could work my sewing machine. I can sew....but can't work the machine without help..lol I don't think it likes me. But I love to knit and do crafty projects. My daughter had an outdoor wedding last year in my friends backyard. I had so much fun making stuff for it. Projects keep my mind busy..that's a good thing

Cami, hope u r feeling better

FBB hope you r feeling better too

2nd, hope you find a job soon !  And I hope you got some food and some fluids !!

    Hi everyone else

I am days behind in reading.  I know that the Sassafrass is back and Tang is done with chemo.  Yippee!

It looks like my biopsy will be on 6/27.  I'm taking vast quantities of meds to keep from worrying.  Lalalalala.

Enerva, glad you're back! Saw some of your handiwork on another thread, very pretty!

Phyllidontworryitwillallbeok, the waiting is the hard part, try to keep your mind busy. Meds help.

    Happy Tuesday!

    Good morning

Phylotakeallkindsofdrug just take whatever u need, When ever we wait for results it' like wearing an ankle monitor and u'r trapped oops u know what that's like.

Sas u'll never catch up anyway none of us remember anything we wrote anyway. So just keep up with what's going on now, that's hard enough.

If u read Chevy's posts u won't understand one thing that's going on so if u are going to read back just ignor ours cuz we say a lot of nothing useful and it's a big waste of time. See Chevy it's not just u, (altho it mostly is)

Weather is on watch for a couple of hours, don't like that at all. So I hope nothing happens anywhere.

Nope Cam, nothing happenin' nowhere!   I found this picture of the exact camera they will be using for you tomorrow!  I didn't think it would "fit" at first, but this is the only one around....  You also have to pick up a few flash-bulbs, and then have the pictures developed.... but if you or they aren't in any hurry, it doesn't matter...

    image

Don't worry miss Phylliwithstufftoworryabout....  Just call them and tell them that is too long to wait, and you therefore, don't want to!  Then they will call your superior warden person and tell to you go stuff it.

Now all the rest of you guys, just stay out of trouble.....  I know that's somewhat inane, but it is my wish!

Yes, you rowdy little Sasster!  I'll just have to send you to your room, until you promise me you will behave....  But I'll leave your door open, and bring you chocolate cokes and Gold-fish to munch on.....

still not buying onto those choc cokes.......now a root beer float would be just fine :)

Philly...I forgot what the biopsy is at?  Where r they looking?

    Cami...good luck tomorrow :)

Morning all...of to work I go....hi ho, hi ho

Phillyiswaiting, damn girl, I wish you did not have to wait another 10 days. I would be taking helperfeelgoodwhatever also. We all will be rocking & rolling in your pockets, paintball guns loaded.

Susan, what do you do for work? The sweater is precious. What patience you must have.

Cami, is that itsty bitsy teeny tiny camera ( NOT Chevys, that she is still using for chickens & pole night ) capable of removing cells? Is that the goal? I would need to be "sleeping", they knocked me out for the port removal. Twilight drugs. We will be in your pockets, I will have my eyes shut the whole time, maybe they can knock me out.

FiercestBlue, sorry to hear you are dealing with trauma/drama.....that always brings us down, exhausting & upsetting. Hope it resolves itself.

Off to lunch with some ol' work buddies & then golf tonight. It's cold & windy here....so I will be in long underwear & wind pants. Supposed to get up to 90s by Friday.

    BBL.....have a good one......

Morning owls.  So the mole was nothing. Now I'm worried about my blood pressure. It was 102/75 yesterday, last Wednesday it was 110/72. It keeps dropping as I lose weight. Sass, what's too low?

    Got go swim, BBL.

    No kidding!!!!

I've been trying to keep up with everyone, but I don't do a very good job!  I read, but forget what I read by the time I try to post!  Sometime, when I have more time, I'll post as I read, but right now I've been busy and when not busy, I've been resting trying to get this back stuff under control! Please forgive me!

Hope everyone is having a good day...and I remember someone is having to wait on test results...boo, and someone finished chemo...YAY...And for some reason, Sas was asking for permission or forgiveness or something about going out to play!!

    Good day ladies!

Smaarty - not Sassy but I'll take a stab at an answer. As long as you're not dizzy/fainty, losing balance (well any more than most of us seem to be doing - winky) or obviously bleeding out from something (you're not hemorrhaging) there is not really much too low. Make sure you're taking enough liquid (water) and that your supplement has sufficient sodium/potassium. I would assume since you're in a supervised program it does. Low is always better than high so long as you are not symptomatic. Athletes have low BP and very low pulse rates. Shows their cardiac function is great. Each pump of the cycle gives maximum that's why they sustain a low pulse. I would love to have your low BP. My chol #s are OK but BP is high, taking meds. Enjoy your swim. Glad moley was nothing to worry about. I was just thinking today I prob. need to go see my derm. Not sure if he's even doing "real" derm. since he went heavily cosmetic. But he's darn good and was keeping old pts for reg. derm. appts.

CamiCamera - so your big Hollywood debut is tomorrow, right? I would hope the answer to GolfGirl's question is yes that camera is able to take biopsy samples. Having not had one nor anyone close to me had one I'm not for sure. But would hope it would. That would be a SassyPants question.

Nettie - hah Snap, Crackle, Pop. So true.

    Morning Patty. ArUSA - ?Arkansas.

I'm going to post this again. My favorite to listen to online. Had to drown out DH's shootem' up movie.

Good lord I'm ready to post GOOD MORNINGOWLETTES and it's 1:20 pm.

Smarrty, Blood pressure is relative. LMG's hit allot of the points. Big question is what chemicals are you on? You've lost weight. The meds that were working for you at a higher weight are too much for you now. Please, send them by PM or post them. One of my punishments is limited PM's. They just didn't of course say how limited. So, may not be able to PM back.

I'll look in my storage place. See what I've already got written.

In the meantime, move slowly, don't turn the head rapidly side to side, don't get up fast from a chair or bed, and don't bend at the waist. Seriously, this is a common problem with weight lose and drugs.

Shucks nothing in storage. But doesn't add or delete from above

Chemicals please? i.e. drugs even OTC and herbals. Unusual activity since dizziness started? Even a difference of 20 LBs can gause a change with the meds :)

Cami the instrument that has the camera in it , also, has a channel for biopsy tool and a cautery( zapper) as needed. It's all in one , but very small. Ativan or valium would be good. Versed a wee bit, would be even better. But I know your fear of drugs.

    In your pocket tomorrow.

Krips I feel a sleep attack coming on. SMARRTY, I'll look for your list when I wake up. Whats too low----as LMG's said "anything that you are symptomatic with" But you just can't quit meds without doc okay and supervision. But we can help. Let's talk before any more meds this evening. Congratulations on the problem. It's a milestone . Think of it positively. You have lost enough weight that your body needs less chemicals to control it's functions YAY. Now you just need to get fixed before you fall on your head----- MUAH

How fast are you loosing weight? Could be too fast.

Peppermint No don't go lurking stay here Puleese, sassy

Yes.... I am MamaChevy......  And I am your inner-conscience.  Don't forget that..... If you FEEL like doing, or saying something, make sure it is appro-po.... or whatever.

So that CammiCamera does other things besides just LOOK in there?  It must be like that cryo-surgery  stuff some of us have had done, that sends you through the roof when they attempt to freeze something in THERE?    Okay, now I understand.....

Cammi, just drink lots, take pills, and take a head-set with loud music playing R-E-S-P-E-C-T  while they are..... um..... "working."    Will they let you watch some sort of porno movie while they are "working?"

Okay, now I have to listen to the LittleGoats video.... Headphones

thanks lmg and sass. I've lost 22 lbs so far, about 1-2 a week. only drug I take is estrogen, .5 mg. nothing over the counter. Stopping the estrogen in 2 months when I start eating real food again.  Don't get dizzy just feel off if I move to fast, yes especially from sitting down.  Last weeks  bp was 108/61. Yesterday was 102 over something, don't remember now. I did ask the doc last week and she was not worried about it. Never had bp issues before just never been this low. I weigh 182 right now. Hoping to get to around 160 by end of July when food comes back in. Ok enough about me.

SAS, does everyone still have to stay away from you, are you still glowing?  How is the BF, you haven't mentioned him yet.

Sas, I agree with your friend,  I haven't had luck but I am now with a second Ps and he seams to know what went wrong. Hoping he fix it soon. My previous ps was just not able to help me so I moved on. Wish other people have better luck with her than I did.

Now just waiting for this revision rurgery to try and get better results and move on. ;)

I love all the pictures you ladies are sharing here is one I think it's a good one.

    Enerva that's so cute.

Yes Chevy that second one I think is the camera after all if our parts can get a baby out of us then why not the other parts open to get a camera crew in? Right? Sas she told me she will do a biopsy or do anything in there that maybe should be or something like that---It doesn't bother me to be awake thru a lot of my usually put out tests cuz I just don't like to be put out so I prefer this and when I'm done I just get up and walk out, maybe a little bowlegged but I don't have to wait. But I don't get a cookie and juice then. Sad

Cammi, I found the exact replica of the "camera/telescope" they will be using...

Cami, I circulated on allot of women that were never given any sedative beforehand. Ironically, it was the belief of all the male docs over two decades(70's then 90's) that the women didn't feel any pain. The male docs ALWAYS GAVE THE MEN  shots or had twilight anesthesia. Very sexist. Since someones driving you think about your regular pain pill. That should do you okay.

Smarrty, Just looked up if estrogen could be the culprit. It can in a very round about way. My way of explaining it. If the body is feeling stressed b/c of the weight loss, then the adrenal glands go into overtime. If tis goes on for a  prolonged period, the adrenals can get fatigued i.e. worn out. Adrenal fatigue.

What I know about Optifast (DH used it), You are seen once a week and blood work, vital signs , assessment of s/s's are done. Your doc is not concerned. She's been doing Optifast a LONG time?  If so she see's this as an expected s.e. or complaint(medical usage).

First BP. Check BP in am after awaking before activity. Keep a record of date and time. Symptoms of low Bp weakness, fatigue, tiredness, dizziness, sinking feeling, sleepy, light nausea. Can be more, depends on the person.

What you are describing is ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION---means when you change position your blood pressure is slow to keep up with position change. So, make all positional changes slowly.  Turning the head quickly right and left can cause trouble---so don't do that. LOL I'll leave the negative feedback system of the Autonomic nervous system out . It's easier just to say don't make that movement fast.

Monitor your fluid intake---should balance with your output. I know the program you are in covered fluid balance very well, b/c in your situation if you aren't taking enough fluids in you will get into trouble fast.

Is that enough to explain it?

DBBF fine . we are doing good. He's bringing a surprise visitor home. Must run and shower BBL to check in and see if this is good enough :)

  • Smaarty
    Smaarty Posts: 2,615

yes, sass that works fine. If it's lower tomorrow I'll ask about it. I usually get 3 qts of fluid a day, it's what's recommended on this.

Cami, it shouldn't hurt. Some are more sensitive there. I had tests a couple years ago then had a sling put in. Keep us posted how you're doing. (No pics please, haha) the camera looks neat though.

Made the body presentable by a couple of minutes LOL. Should look and smell this way all the time Deja Vue  Cami? Amazing what a little eye shadow and lipstick does.

Oh MOMMMMMMM, it feels so good to be back and having you fuss over me. :)  The New Orleans style vanilla sauce has Jack Daniels whiskey in it. Is that allowed?

Enerva, very glad you feel better with this PS.

If someone can PM NotSelf and  say "come-on-back". If you look in the topic box NS's recipe for sleep is there. She is a long time member of IT.
