That is fantastic, two hobbies! for the trip, if anybody flies to bob hope, or burbank airport, i would get them! please please please don't make me go to LAX! no no no...(Sung to the tune of Amy Winehouse,"Rehab"!) ... Then we could drive my sweet little stick with turbo, VW, from here to there. or the train, which i have been meaning to do for an awfully long time! I am so sorry i missed you all in hollywood, and long beach, but here is the reason why:  she was a foundling, and i had her for about 20 of the most fun filled hours that i have had in the last couple of years, until we found her a great forever home on a kind of ranch, with 2 kids and a horse and a goat! she wore me out, we ran! and laughed, and we fell for her hard, but could not keep her. he called her pisspot, i called her lili. that kind of pink spot between her nose and her soulful eyes? i could NOT stop kissing her! (my foot, in sensible and comfy merrils).

Wyndham Oceanside Pier looks great!  I'll ask mom to check into available dates for one of their 4-bedroom suites.  Kath, hopefully we won't miss you "by that much" next time LOL.

We see Il Volo tonight (three young Italian tenors) in Milwaukee, accompanied by the WI Philharmonic.  It's sure to be a wonderful concert.  I'll stay overnight with mom and come home Sun a.m.

Walked my 2.5 mile route last night.

LB, love the new avatar pic!

Cheryl, glad to hear you're on the mend.

    ♥ to all.

OK mom called and we have three dates to choose from:

    May 2 / June 6 / July 25

Those are the available check-in dates for the 4-bedroom suite and we could stay four nights on points.  The resort people said this place is very popular with the timeshare owners so we should decide PDQ.

Any of those dates would be OK with me! ♥

Those dates all work for me too.  June 6 is right in the center so may be a good choice but then again it's a week after Memorial Day so might not be good for some?  Maybe July is better since we will be beyond Memorial Day and July 4th but not too close to Labor Day?  4 nights would be Sat-Wed; works out to really 3 full days and 2 travel days.

Thanks badger for getting it rolling.

Kindergarten, My husband actually does most of the cooking! The only really good thing I can cook is homemade Italian food.

Helping my husband pull weeds today....that's considered exercise, right? Winking

I am already excited for next summer!

Walked & did an hour of toning with Denise Austin. We are going down to South Dakota tomorrow for a reunion picnic on DH's side of the family, so the only exercise I will get is that of raising the fork to the mouth!

Any of those dates work for me too, so it looks like Oceanside it is, and one thing else which makes it a good choice, Oceanside is the gateway in to Camp Pendleton, lots of young strapping Marine eye candy, lots of yes Ma'ams oooeeee Winking

Still not 100% but feeling so much better, so this morning went to the Y over in Newport for their 'open house' and did a couple of 'taste' classes, did Zumba, then had a go in their Gluco Fit Club which was a circuit training room, where you did a minute on a machine then did a minute on a step, which was very fun, then the real reason we went, CX Works (which is a core workout class) and Body Combat with Eduardo, we did half the Combat inside then they moved outside to the Basketball court and finished the class - this is for you Ruth

    Eduardo!

Well I'm excited for the Oceanside trip. If folks fly into SAN I can help with shuttling from airport to the resort and back.

Spent three hours walking around at the fair today, and of course ate some fair food to keep up my energy. Cinnamon roll with buttery topping soaked about an inch deep, and waffle fries. Two walk/jogs with the dog as well. Nothing like a dog to keep you on a regular schedule.

OK Kathy next time he's in Torrance I will let you know but be warned, I don't know what it is about him but every time I work out with him I seem to try harder, for instance today my abs feel like I've dome 1000 sit ups and I feel like I have had a Brazilian butt lift - all this from a half hour CX works classLoopy I

RE: Eduardo, I can attest to that!  Should add that he's good about tailoring instructions to everyone's fitness levels and experience in group classes.

The concert was AWESOME! Although the
average age of the audience was at least 50, there were a surprising number of
children. A lady sitting up front had her (four-YO?) daughter on her lap
and Piero brought the little girl up on-stage and sang to her, very sweet.
A slew of young women rushed the stage at the end of the last encore to
reach up and get their hands touched (ooooh!). A lucky few even got
selfies with one of the guys. Very fun night and so glad we did this. ♥

I'll have to wait to commit to the trip next summer, dependent on what we decide on for the date(s) of our South Africa trip next year.  I thought it was going to be in March but DH is now talking maybe June or July.

Lisa, we will send cyber-thoughts to your DH hoping it will still be March and you can join us.

45-min running in pool today and up/down stairs still cleaning/moving stuff.  My realtor will come by Thursday so pray that the comps are reasonable for me to list this place without losing my shirt!  Townhomes are not the easiest to sell nowadays with the price of single-family homes down so much.  Hoping that our 2015 CA trip will be with me retired as I can't retire unless this place sells.

    Night my sculpted friends.

I just got home from the Food Fest (Family Reunion), where my SIL and I again kicked butt in ladder ball. Happy

Patoo, here is a compliment for you.....I made an album of pictures from our trip & have showed it to some of my friends. When we get to Santa Barbara & the mission & the saint statue you can buy & bury upside down by your door if you want to sell your house (for those of you who weren't there, I am not making this up) and mention that you bought one because you want to sell your house & retire & why not give it a try, several people have said, "WHAT? She looks way too YOUNG to be retiring!" So WHOO HOO!!

Badger: Sounds like the concert was WONDERFUL!

Patoo: Good luck selling your home! It's never easy.

Good evening all. I have been faithfully power walking, jogging, mowing all in the heat this past week. That is until yesterday. Yesterday and today I have rested and enjoyed my dd being home. Tomorrow is another day!

It sounds like you were all impressed with Eduardo!! Was it his fancy workout gear?? SillyHeart

Patoo, hope you sell your home quickly!

Went shopping with my daughter this weekend. Shopping with her is like running a marathon!!

Just a brief check in - work's been nuts lately, and I've slacked off on running, but have been walking and doing yard work.  Finally got my butt out this morning for a half hour run.  It was only 64 degrees, but it was so humid that when I got back I just jumped in the pool, workout clothes and all (I did prudently remove my pricey running shoes first).  I signed up for a 5K on July 4th, so that'll keep me motivated to pick up the running schedule again - I seem to do better when I have some sort of goal run.  Winking

Found a BCO sister this weekend - on stage!  We went to see the Bacon Brothers at a local music club (fabulous show), and the opening act was a songwriter/singer named Cindy Alexander.  During the show she mentioned that she was just finishing up a year of b/c treatment, and did a song about how that year had impacted her and those around her.  It was an emotionally powerful song - dh and I were both in tears by the end of it.   She met with fans after the show and I got a chance to chat with her.  I mentioned BCO, and she said she was going to be part of a benefit concert for BCO!   Small world - there are BCO sisters everywhere, even famous talented ones. Happy  If any of you get a chance to see her in concert, she's great.

I thought some of you might enjoy this funny article from David Sedaris about becoming obsessed with his FitBit http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2014/06/30/140630fa_fact_sedaris?currentPage=all

Patoo, good luck selling your house. I sold mine last fall. What a stressful process and boy did it feel good when it was all over.

Two hours at a hoop jam at the beach yesterday and my two daily dog walks.

This afternoon I'm having my first injection for the frozen shoulder clinical trial. I will have my arm in a sling for 12 hours afterward. Hoping for a good result.
