Sas, These are beautiful, when I'm feeling better I am going through those boxes in the garage. Well may have to wait until it cools off. In the 110's here. Enerva, you are very talented, I have yet to finish baby blanket I started for my granddaughter. She will be 10 in Dec. LOL, Stephanie

when I lived in Cincinnati we had a pink magnolia tree. The blooms were a slightly different shape than the white southern magnolia around here. Sometimes a late frost would get it, if not, it was spectacular!

This is one of the lizzards Glennie and my dogs like to harass. It does have a reddish head. Some look like baby dinosaurs, but none get bigger.

Sass those are so beautiful,  I have nothing like that. I through out most of my kitchen stuff and now I have just a few cups and plates not even a set lol I continue to through things to the donation pile cuz i want my place ready to move when I get a chance to sell and move. I have to admit it feels like at never ending work lol

Today I will get rid off some books

  • Will see Rads Dr.Mon. Am.  Feeling a little bit better. But B is still red and that part is hard and big as abase ball when I feel it. May also see BS and get her opinion. Everyone is only a couple miles away and very attentive. This started Tuesday night. Late connection was Friday. If not for week end it would call.

En. Love your tops so glad you post pic

Oh Sass, you are RIGHT! Ha, ha!..... Okay.... yes, as a
matter of fact, "scocks" are what you put on, when you are not thinking
straight.... they are reLATED to socks, but men invented the scocks, so that is
very understandable, when you think about it!

Or even when you misspell a word, when there is no
SPELL-CHECK on the forum when I go through AOL..... Ha! NOR can I post a
picture.... I can only do it when I go through Chrome!

Also! Doesn't your little Monitor have little
peanut-butter and grape-jam fingerprints all over it? I just KNOW it
    does.....

Spookie! YOU have Dinosaurs too? Those are just baby
ones! One time when we were walking with the boys, near the ocean, a BIG lizard
ran in front of us.... I mean he was as big as a MOUSE!

My Grandson said "Now Grams, that is a good lizard gone
bad!" I thought that was soooooooooo funny! My Daughter HAS them on her
walls once in awhile.... but when we were there, I leave the room, when she
    tries to rescue it....

Her cats play HELL with their tails.... but she said they
    grow new ones.

The other day, I was painting outdoors.... and a little
round spider got stuck on the paint! I tried to whisk him out of the paint,
with my brush, but THAT just completely covered him.... He landed on the
ground.... I ran and got the hose to wash him off....

But I could see he was struggling in a puddle of water, so
I gave up the whole notion of trying to save him! Damnit!

Spiders have a reason to live too!

So take care of your dinosaurs spooky.

and so Enerva.... what is this "behind asbusual" mean?
See, if Sass can do it to me, I can do it to you..... Ha, ha!

What is "doble"thread? You mean crochet thread? So I'm
thinkin' here, that you don't have spell check either? Hah!

    Anyway, I love your work!

See, Cammi doesn't even know what spell-check is.... and
doesn't even care! So we could go around never spelling anything right.... like
    SHE does! I mean doesn't!

Sass.... the "musical instrument".... You mean a Lyre?
I am extremely intelligent when it comes to some things..... and later on, I
will look into what I am intelligent about....

Oh hey Hi Alive4five...Is that it?  I'll just call you "Alive" cause I probably will mess your name up anyway.....

We love Free-Cell!  It is just so we can pretend we can THINK, and hold a thought!  I only play it alone.... I swear a lot during this time..... also.

Sass.... Yes Robin Willians was also close friends with John Belushi...  And most of those comedians  that  gave up their lives, was called an accidental overdose!    To me, it is almost the same thing....  It just wreaks havoc on everyone AROUND them.... anyone who CARES about them, does not want them to take themselves out!!!

He was treated for his addictions..... several times.... and yes, depression can also be treated....

I just think of all the women..... the women we have met "here" that have fought until their last breath!  They had a "disease" that they didn't get from alcohol or drug abuse....  They tried treatments, over and over again....  These women go through hell to try and get through another day...  and they fight until they can't fight anymore....

Life is just so precious....  whether men or women, and children especially....  When diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, they  fight with all they have.....  I'm just sorry for Robin Williams kids....  It wasn't just "depression"  or being diagnosed with Parkinson's.....  They lost their Dad.....  He didn't have to take that from them.

Oops we have solitaire addicts amany! Chevy did you here that? Spider too. I have played Free Cell till my eyes are rolling tears, and my fingers cramped so tight they have to be straightened. AND then I play some more............Minesweeper I wonder if it's on my machine.  Have you played with SIMON? Top was in the 30's, pretty cool, the machine melted in the back seat of my car.

ALIVE so, glad you joined us :) Come often :) I so enjoy your posts on W&F's. You &Teka&Mags&Julie&AZ&2ta&Smarrty&oops if I forgot someone, keep it a very happy place to be. Thanks on the glass :) I'm addicted to that too. Way addicted. Today while posting, I went to Ebay to find some Anchor Hocking, I inadvertently found something else.....ohhhhh the price was right, but I was able to resist. Literally, there's not a single inch of storage left.

Badger Hoot ti hoot who to you too! Ya know my "5 O'clock Somewhere" hat is right where I put it. If I just could remember where that is.

Morning all. I am waiting on my cup of tea because I have DH well trained as he brings me one before he goes to work. I then take my time reading things on the computer, then I get up. Today I will probably go out for a coffee with a friend who has Monday off.

What a life, so different from up at 6am and away just after 7am getting to school before 8am. usually arrived home about 6pm and then had work to do after dinner. For some reason I don't miss it .

Another Spider solitaire addict here and SAS I play FreeCell - no one is allowed to touch my game as I am trying to get to 100% in Free Cell. I have also started playing Taptiles - a 3D Mahjong - terrible game and so addictive.

Tea has arrived so will have it then consider my day and what wicked thing I can do. At least I fell like doing something today but just hope my drugs don't space me out as they are doing.

sass, if I ever need glasswear------- I am calling you!!!

badger, don't even get me started about Minesweeper! BTW, Thx for the Welcome!

chevy, some of us don't think about putting on 'scocks'...too much trouble! Ha!

I will tell you that this is the toughest thread to catch up on once you get behind. And I get behinder and behinder. I'm on DH's laptop propped up on the couch. I've spent too much time sitting at the desk and my feet decided to swell up. So I have them propped up.

I think I'm on pg 553 but I had some notes from further back on my desktop. Patty I remember that your scans were good. Yay. Susan your pictures are beautiful with your radiant smile. Enerva - I love your walks and go along with you vicariously. Too darned hot to walk here. We did get a bit of rain, airport got a tremendous amount. Love your crocheted tops. I know your niece will too.

Nettie- My MO and BS do not communicate either. One of them schedules my mammo. Has been BS but I think MO felt left out so he sched. the last one. I have a heck of a time getting results to them. I don't go to their preferred place but LOVE, LOVE my radiologist and not changing. Did not care for their "preferred" place who did the needle loc for my lumpie. So they will just have to take it so there. But communicate - no. Not sure what they communicated to begin with. Suppose some records were exchanged. I only saw MO the Friday b4 I went back to work. No idea who will sched. next one - I'm now on yearly only with BS/MO alternating every 6 months. I usually remember to carry a copy to whichever I see 2nd in case they didn't get it.

Nettie I dress at home in lots worse things than that for sure. Usually a tank top (no bra) and shorts. Not a good look for a short overweight woman. You look pulled together - at least what I can see from knees down. Let me tell you a dressing story. Years ago (30+) DH and I along with DB, SIL went for I think Thanksgiving (maybe a week b4) to mom's cabin in Okla. Not so much cabin but log house. I had on sweats that didn't match - didn't care. Warm. SIL had on flannel shirt, matching turtleneck, coordinating pants. Matchy matchy. Love her to pieces, married to my DB for 38 years which is inself a major feat. But no way I could dress for that. I would not have even noticed what you had on. I was trying to figure out what your GD was squeezing.

Gosh and all those NSAIDs now carry such cardio warnings.

Spookie/Sassy - we were req. by mortgage co. to get flood ins. We are on a creek and on corner with bar ditches. We kept the ins. when we paid off the mortgage but raised the deduc. and coverage limit. We both feel if any damage ever comes (and this house did not flood when neighbors down the way did in 2006 or so) it will be sheetrock/floor etc. Not the swept away kind of damage. I don't think the creek could ever flood, it is very deep on our end but the bar ditch is another matter. We've been here 16 years and the premium keeps going up.

Thanks Chevy for the "geep" story. Friend down the road has both; I'll have to keep a lookout for one in his herd.

Sassy - I bought 2 small pieces of brown ironstone English. Not worth much but I like them. Also 2 pretty juice glasses, prob. Anchor Hocking. Store had a bunch of diff. ones. I liked these. Kinda hobnail, certainly not old. Not a place I go frequently. Need to get dog more heartworm med so that will take me to a diff town (if I play my cards right - DH will prob. say he can get pills on his way to work). Some nice stores there but hot weather needs to break some because it has walking around town square involved.

HI1 - just take it slow with the basement. Yes, I would paint first. Glad DH is coming along so nicely. Did you go on your trip yet?

    Lovely pics Spookie.

Nettie - I take Femara. Just over 2 years. Had terrible foot pains for a couple of months but only after I'd been on it for a while. They eventually went away. I have osteopenia have had long b4 I ever started it. Some osteoarthritic degen. shoulders, spine so I feel entitled to some pain. But I can trace really nothing to F. in particular. I've been on 3 diff. generics. Never had name brand. Take it in the morning just so I can remember it. Some take it at night. Not any time of day recommended in particular.

I think I'm kina caught up. Hugs to all..Apologize for length. May make for good snoozing after you read it.

spookiesmom – you live in an amazing place!

Smaarty – what a cool quilt!

    Thanks, badger….

Holeinone – some days it’s two steps forward, three steps back. This too, shall pass, though! Thank you for asking.

3rdtimenow – hope you are feeling better; looking forward to Thursday for you…

Sassypants – some days are a real challenge. Yesterday was a call the waaaaaaaambulance-feeling-sorry-for-myself day, but I know it will pass. What’s really hard is being aware of all these deficits. It’s not like a broken leg, where healing is linear. Good days, not-so-good days, we all have them. I am hoping they are not permanent. Will probably be seeing a Neurologist soon. Still slamming into walls, forgetting things. Ah, so what else is new?  Pretty glass that you posted!!!!

Enerva – Girl, you should be SELLING those cute crocheted creations you make! And you are the perfect model!

SailingWind – hope you are feeling better!

Hi to all I didn’t mention by name!

I think there’s a place on the couch with my name on it… off to search for a nice uplifting movie to watch. Or a nap.

Hope y’all have a nice, relaxing rest of the weekend!!!

Nettie - I just posted a question to the Mods as to why my personal info at the bottom of my post does not show QUIT DATES for the hormonals...

They show up on my Profile when I look at it, but not when I post.

I was on Arimidex for six months when the SEs started. I lasted a year and quit because of severe SEs. (My MO took me off it.) Then I got a two-month drug holiday before starting Femara.

After six months, the SEs started again, and together, we made the decision to just stop. My husband has incurable kidney disease, and if I wait 3 more years (until I'm off the AIs) he may not be able to travel. (That was always our goal for retirement. Then we both got sick.)

So it was a quality of life thing.... and a decision that was blessed by my MO.

So no, I'm not on Femara any more. I quit three months ago.

I have 10 more months of tamox to complete five years, then on to an AI.  Not sure which one but likely Arimidex.  My PCP has already told me he'll order a baseline bone density test before I start.

Hi Alive Welcome here--it's not just for people who can't dleep, it's mostly for  people who can't think a lot, OK not everyone just  couple of us (no names mentioned, but it a cars name)

2nd I like u train of thought about weight, Well with that in mind I'm a genius.

My D kind of knocked me out today, like I need any reason, but I think it's gone for now. I've got the chills so I put my scocks on (kinda like that word..)

Enerva if I had a body that was WOW I wuld wear tht--it's adorable and with the sweetheart neckline. Love it. U'r hands must move like a tornado--wisssshhhh.  do them so quickly.

Nettie how's the med going? I've been always on Aromasin and just took it---(that was plain stupid) now all the damage has been done so I've just stayed on it.--so go ahead and pay attention, but as we all know we all have different reactions from all these stupid bone sucking horrendous meds. I think I made my point.

I'm so sad school is starting, but I'm the GM so to me I'll be missing Joey all day.

Blessings do they have any idea how long this will last? I hope u see a Dr. soon, like very soon, it's been long enough.

And I have no idea about any games, people invit me to play, but I don't play anything, Another addiction I'm trying to avoid.

OK I'm going to quiet down now. So I hope everyone rests well, but if not I'll see u during the night.

Tmw I will finish and post a picture.

No Cami actually I faked it. I composed on the last page and kept reading back and adding to it.

I did find my old notes on Word.

Tang - I'm sorry about your stepmom's mom. Hope you are taking care of yourself also while helping with arrangements. My DH is an ice clinker, turn glass upside down, yes, there is nothing left in it. Cabang goes the ice cubes. He can't chew ice since he teeth wouldn't take it. He accuses me of being a plate stabber.

Dutchy - I remember about you pushing your cycle. Has the pain settled down any? Amazing the # of muscles we have that we never use until something like that happens. When I used to squat for hours at goat births my thigh muscles (gosh name escapes me) would just ache - from serious non-use.

Chevy - I love the garden arch. What are you planning on planting on it? I found a Bluebird flag to honor our Fierce BlueBird, one of those flags on the little carrier rod. I have it out front, can see it from side window when curtains open.

Yay for PhylloinHouston doing well on chemo.

JWoo - sorry for your friend and his accident. Sounds like he is getting great care.

Blessings - so glad fog is clearing a bit. When is neuro appt?

I have spent the last few days watching a giraffe's hind end waiting on her to give birth. Live cam at the Greenville SC Zoo. One reason my feet have been so swollen. Seems she gets more active labor at night. Supposedly the giraffes at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs are very cute. The way they march out to grounds and back into pens at night.
