Sassy cold is relative. Freezing 45 degrees and about to have a Tstorm also and a mini frog strangler.

Funny story - looked down in a mint plant I brought inside several weeks ago. Yuppers there is a toad in it. DH carefully carried pot to porch and wrapped nice towel around outside, though the window he was in was very cold and pot was very damp. I guess tomorrow I will attempt to get him out and find him a nice warm burrow.

Found a new animal cam. Chevy you might like this. Dillie the house deer. I think around 8 pm EST they feed her treats and tuck her in bed. Certainly better than the news on TV these days

Littlegoats---------oh yes Relativity. We are oh so spoiled until a Blow comes. Hope your toad makes it. Story: I had a long stitch needlepoint of a swamp by the front door. After I said goodbye to DS at the door. I look at the needlepoint. On the upper corner is a toad/frog---pure white with black eyes. Poised so it's looking down at the swamp. What a picture that would have made. Instead I went into ewhhhh mode grabbed it and threw it out the front door. Of course, latter I realized my mistake. Where the frog/toad came from --who knows? The fact that it sought refuge on my swamp needlepoint was very cool, except no pic. :)

    Yay Chevy your legal.....................

Tonight I was in a shoppe. Making small talk. The guy got off on a rant about Cuba after I said it was great we were going to normalize relations etc. He was getting way off into the weird world. I did something I never did before. I put my hand up as in stop. It worked. I thought I had to tell you all b/c we are always talking about people that make stupid off the wall statements about cancer. I have a new defense. 'the hand' LOL love it.

Just talked with Philyiss, she had her port replaced, UGH. last chemo. Starts scans after Christmas. Ds is fine. BBF and her DH fine. We have great dark humor conversations. She sends her love to everyone.

This is similar  to a piece I bought for DS. It was in the same antique mall that I bought a bunch of pieces . After doing a search I found that  I had bought a fake. In the search, I found a web sight that went on ad nauseum about how to determine fakes. I paid way to much....but I like it, I parted with the money, and it is a solid heavy piece that can be a workhorse. So, even though mine is a fake, it will be put to good use.

Blondie- I got NO sleep last night. I dozed a bit after DH left at 7am and was up at 9! Yay.. 2 hours.. I feel like I have the flu.. that kind of tired. So I am biting the bullet and will try the trazadone. I just asked Walgreens to fill it. Hope it doesn't do what restoril did. I don't tolerate drugs very well. My feet drive me crazy makes me jumpy and antsy.. and as long as I have pressure on the soles of my feet I am good. Lay down and take the pressure off and trouble begins. Thank you Taxol for the last 8 years of misery... wished my feet just stayed numb. All shopping done. yay.

Rose, I'm with you on the lack of sun and moss on the sidewalks. We went to Mexico for a week one year and it made a world of difference. Being cold might be a side effect of your AI. I get cold chills from Arimidex. Once a warm feeling, but usually cold and chills.

  • good morning friends.

I am home from the hospital. Yea ! Feeling miserable but there is truly no place like home. On the road to recovery. Keeping liquids down - hey that's a start right ? Thank you all so much for your kind words and encouragement.

2nd - hope your cold is gone. A mudslide - wow - only seen those on tv. Thanks for keeping me from going stir crazy.

Smarty - your drains are out - sweet !

Chevy - car tagged and everything yes. Did they ask about all the beer in your car ? Don't you have to have a liquor license to transport so much. Lol

Mommyoftwo - never heard of molasses cookies ? Got pics ? Sounds delicious.

    Fashion girl - welcome

Luvmygoats - what do you use your mint for ? Been thinking of starting an herb garden but been too lazy to really research what plants would be most benificial to me. I remember growing up we would find wild growing mint and make tea out of it. Also dug up sassafras root for tea. Yummo. Not sure of the health benefits but they sure tasted wonderful.

SAS / love the hand defense. Def gonna try that one out. I'll just have to remind myself to actually only put the hand up and not follow thru with the face smack. Again thanks for the sepsis explanation. Funny I was surrounded by dr's and nurses , yet I received the most understandable info from you. Next time instead of going to the hospital maybe I just need to come see you. FL sounds a lot better than the hospital for sure.

Cami / hoping you are doing better

Blondie - prayers for quick shingles healing. Dang , how long does it last ?

Rosevalley / get some sleep !

Hello to anyone I missed. Hope everyone has a pain free , happy day.

    Hootie hoo

    Patty,

my molasses cookies were from a Betty Crocker mix I got in the store, all I had to add was a couple of things, mix and bake them. If you want, I can find a recipe for them and send it to you via a PM.

Hubby went nuts over the cookies. Of course, he eats anything I make.

No Peppermint, but they asked about the 2 Cheeto stains they saw! BawlingI worked at Coors when it WAS illegal to transport Coors into other States...

Isn't that amazing? And now you can get not only beer, but pot, etc!

And what is this about Phyllodinkarink being sickly and stuff again, or what? Doesn't she know we miss her posting and chit? I mean she was the one with the paint-ball gun sitting on her porch like some big dude, and just waiting for little kids to walk by!

HOW many times was she arrested? And served time with Big Alice, her infamous room-mate?

Cammi did you see that? She is in hiding.... that's what she is doing....

Sass, ask her is she is still wearing that ankle bracelet she was given as a gift from the Federales... Or has she sawed it off yet?

She needs to straighten up and break out of that joint, and come back to us. WE will protect her from all enema's... I mean enemies, and get her on the right track!

Rosie! You sick? Are you SURE? You must have caught it from my Daughter... She was prescribed Tamiflu, and went back to work... she got better, but felt miserable for awhile...

Didn't any of you remember that even EYE was sick? But I soldiered through it... Asthma much better... in case anyone wondered.... in case....

Wren! Just sick of gloomy cold weather... It gets us down... makes us crabby and cold... in need of spirits. We went to a new liquor store, and bought "stuff" A flavored Vodka, to mix with Strawberry Margarita mix... And some Brendans Irish Cream, and Some Brute' Champagne for Christmas Brunch with Janie...

Now I just have to get over this so I can drink something again...

Peppermint!!! Welcome home... Don't go doin' THAT again! Just glad you are home and into mischief....

Oh Mom2 is making cookies... puts us all to shame... and what's more, her DH even LIKES them.... that will wear off.

When they get older, they only want to eat Spam, and chips and Cheetos and salami... and an occasional biscuit thrown in there....

And here I am eating yogurt and fresh pineapple, and grape-fruit and Pomegranate's and mashed potatoes.

I made this GREAT fresh Cranberry salad, with sugar-free jello, chopped walnuts, celery and CANNED pineapple... Don't go using fresh pineapple in anything with jello... Not NEVER!

But it is soooooo good! I eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner! With yogurt!

You cook the cranberries for a minute first... just remember NO fresh pineapple!

    Now go make some.

SAS, You're an inspired translator. Turning medicalese into English that people can understand.

Patty, Glad you're home. Remember to rest.

Welcome home Patty!!! No more sepsis ya hear! I totally agree with you staying out of the hospital is a very good thing. May the healing be swift and complete.

Chevy hope you are breathing better and not into your party mix until you finish your meds. Like you needed another mom..haha sorry. That's some picture of a wolf spider..face only a mom could love. That salad sounds good! I love cranberies on spinach with feta and nuts... yum YUM.

Momof2- we have made some very good cookies from box cake mix. My one kid age 13 loves to bake.

Wren- yep a little sun would be grand right?! We have moss on the sidewalks and on the runners of the roof rack on the van - that's the Pacific Northwest for ya! We get liquid sunshine. Arimidex made you cold? I didn't remember that SE insomnia, horrid joint pain, depression & tinnitus and I only took it from Sept. through December and then gave up. Aromasin SE so far joint pain, insomnia and feeling cold all the time. If I don't take it then it's off to the big celestial transfer. So I put up with it...

Howdy to everyone I missed. Hope your day is going well.

patty, glad you're home, make the couch your best friend! Like I'm doing. Going to go do a little shopping this afternoon, my sister is taking me, no driving yet. I can take a shower by my self now.

For an easy cookie, get a box of cake mix, any favor and a can of pumpkin. Not pumpkin pie! Mix, bake and enjoy. I've done it with spice and chocolate cake. Only 65 calories and helps your sweet tooth. Lost another 2 lbs, knew I'd lose some more after surgery, always do. But I need to stop. Don't want to lose anymore, besides, all my new clothes wouldn't fit!

Sunny here, rained a lot last night.

Everybody be good. All ready for Chrstmas? This doesn't apply to Patty

Smaarty is S for sue and the first 4 letters of my last name, martin. Came from work, it was how they assigned user names. The double a's are because somebody beat me to the single a.

Went shopping, finished last minute stuff. Little sore but not bad. Did I show you guys my pic walking to the OR?

Did I tell you My sister is a camera fiend? Goes nowhere without her camera. While we were waiting for my time to go in, we talked about her DIL going in for a c-section and they had her walk to the OR. When it was almost time for me to go in I said I hoped they did the cathater soon, I needed to go. then nurse said that they don't do one for sx under 2 hours. Since I was up to go to the bathroom I said it was just as easy to walk and easier to get on the table from walking than from climbing from the bed to the table. So I walked. As I was walking I told my sis to take a pic! The sx took 3 hours.
