Sassy- yes I find forgiveness of those closest to us, to be difficult. There is nothing more devastating then betrayal by DBF or DH - and I don't mean sexual but behind the scenes underhanded interventions and lying, or being clueless and taking things for granted. At least you don't need your situation to continue to survive and there are not kids hanging in the balance. Be strong and do what's best for you and don't be 2nd best back-up for DBF when his luck has run out. Call Spookie and Chevy for support. Go thrifting... seems you got that down to an art form.
Saw on the NY Times that the young woman with Breast cancer -Lisa B. Adams died at the age of 45. She was the one who blogged and had a following then some one got into a public battle over the "public death selfies" she blogged about, and what purpose did it serve? This is a free country and if you don't like it don't read it. (With the exception of terrorist threats and singing "hang the n--gger by the tree" at Frat houses those aspects of "free speech" should be silenced.Unbelievable footage yesterday of Frat rats singing on a bus and thinking it's just hilarious.. NOT! Clearly they missed our US history lessons and social tactfulness.) I think sharing a journey is ok if you preface it to the right population. These board exist to provide a forum for exchanging life as lived in Cancerland. I think we would all agree sharing is psychologically helpful and community is good.

Okay.... sorry..... but it is un-believable how politics and money and go hand in hand.... Our Country should be run BY the people, and not the Political parties.
I think, "The best man" should be elected.... and then the runner-up would be Vice President! And no more "parties"..... those are just built on money, and loyalties.

Sassy, I have the Blenko water bottle in orchid. It came with flowers in it on Secretary's Day. They let the draftsman pick out the flowers and he told me he wanted me to have something lasting out of it.

Mammaray, Hope your son's problem is easily fixable and not serious. What a panic that was to have him pass out. I'm sure getting a needle in large enough to transfuse would be an ordeal for all involved. Sending healing thoughts.

Chevy... would you consider running for office? I am convinced that all the infighting and nastiness will make any one really worthy, male or female, Rep or Dem or any other party refuse to participate. Who wants to run for office if it means a sign up for a 4 year ride with a divided brawling and bickering camp? You know all the great civilizations toppled because they got corrupt and died from within - rotting so to speak. I hope America can pull it together and start acting for the common good instead of concentrating on winning each individual battle over turf wars. The rest of us get shot in the cross fires.
I just can't believe the Republicans drafted a letter to send to another country defying the negotiations on current foreign policy. I am 56 what happened to supporting our ELECTED officials put in office by popular democratic vote? It seems so infantile and embarrassing. We look like idiots to the rest of the world. I mean ISIS has better internal support from its members...what does that say? It means we are so divided that our enemies will find our Achilles heel and hit it!

MammaRay - I'm so sorry about your son's health. I really hope it's a false alarm and he ends up being ok. In my limited experience as a practicing physician one thing that seems to be true is that sometimes kids have really scary symptoms that end up being less threatening things (much less true in adults). Sending you lots of positive vibes and a hug.

Rosie, I checked in with dear brother history social studies teacher for 30 years. Specific question---Is the contentiousness now, unheard of in our history. He went from Washington through to FDR, then reversed order from Obama back to post WW11. The extremes we are seeing now, he said were present with Washington Jefferson Adams, and talked of how Monroe and Madison tempered things. Then said that John Jay was instrumental in keeping the republic together. I know nothing of John Jay, but that's a pretty strong statement. After listening to him I would conclude-- supporting our elected officials and everyone behaving civilized didn't exist.

Yay==phyliss BTW BX negative. Seaweed wrap? Seaweed is so versatile. I used to make a seaweed(Khombu) and Lotus root soup. Never got the hang of it. Tasted awful.

Seriously, after I finished rads, I did go do a spa treatment a few weeks later just to have my body taken care of in a nurturing self care way vs. the clinical way we experience with treatment. So put that wrap on your list of "to dos" after you are done and when you are up to it!
We will be here to celebrate with you (just as we have been with Mags) when you finish. Keep the faith sister!

Phyllowrap I hought u were serious about the wrap cuz they have so many new things going on now and that sounds like a good idea, why they couldn't wrap u with a leaf like cooling material and zap right thru it while the wrap treats u'r skin.Jazzy I found a video from 1928 of Benny Goodman playing his clarinet to play for Joey--it was one where he really hit all the notes and Joey was very impressed and said Jeez I can't even do that yet. The kid's not bright all the time--but I enjoyed it just as much. But Joey did play parts of songs from Lady GAGA and Start Wars, without squeaking.

When I was young I really thought I needed to be with someone to make me happy and I was, but adter my second divorce for some reason I changed overnite and loved being alone and always enjoyed it and never got bored-it was such wonderful freedom of have no one to think about for the day, and whatever made me happy I could do. When I retired all my friends said what are u going to do? but at the time I was still seeing drs, every week but again I always enjoyed my own thoughts and think about silly things and LOL out loud, which I still do--I mean I could debate myself as to how long was a day in the Bible when God created the earth 24 hrs or 1 million years or how could Desitin be made with a spray so little butts won't hurt so much. Oh well

Yesterday was such a nice spring-like day. Birds chirping and butterflies everywhere. Last night I took a walk and saw all the flowering trees doing their thing. I could smell a gas grill fired up too! Sights, sounds and smells of the new season that is moving in!

Oh MommaRay ok I just read about u'r dear son but missed how old he is.Special prayers for him for Friday. We all tend to forget about platelets, my neice gets blood too for hers an she's doing very well now, she's had this for at least 10 yrs. So hopefully they can get everything under control. Please let us know what the Drs. say on Friday---(((HUGS))) ffor u and u'r son.
OK Jazzy our weather is not quite there yet, I can see some brownish stuff peeping thru white snow but not enough to say Yahoo winter is over for us--but it should be over for u. As all o u know by now Jazzy is one of the most busy woman I know--she never stops working or playing and she's just a wonderfully kind person.
Oh Chevy yes a spray, they have spray for pain why not spray for what I suggested, u'r just jealous cuz u didn't think of it u'rself--now I'll probably see it on the market next year and u will have the patent. U don't fool me, telling everyone it's a goofy idea. U probably PM'd Phyloexcon to get a hold of her sources to get this thing going--She's another one with a rap sheet as long as u'r arm, well maybe not u'r arm, but someone's long arm. We didn't hear from her for a long time cuz she probably just gained privileges cuz she fooled them into good behavior. She knows what she did.
I just woke up a little while ago, sleeping later than usual, maybe I won't take a nap today.

Patty- it has been in the 60s here and it is a lovely day out there today and already up to the mid 50s. I will be there in spirit with you and hope you enjoy your porch time, sunlight on your face, soak up some Vit D, and all the rest! You sound better every day!
BTW, do you live anywhere near Hot Springs, AK? I used to go up there all the time when I lived in the DFW area back in the 1980s......
