Mags, is this message haunting you?
Sweet footprints, hello... Thank- you for being so thoughtful....
Mostly Mom, you have a life ! Here ! The day you had your hyster was the day I was dx...scary stage 3.... Also my sweet DD 27 th b- day.... Share with us, what you do, or your life....I am a open book, I cannot keep my mouth shut, like a few others on this site, like Ch^*y .... Ok, we don't need to go there. My life is good, bad & ugly. Meaning, I am SO lucky. Great DH, 2 amazing kids ( 32 & 28) they are both my rock. I am fortunate to have them & the luxury to retire early, to battle the beast. I feel like I am still in the Cancer nightmare. I will get my 3rd Zometa infusion next month. Hell ......O.....another BUMP in the road. I am humbled by all the ladies here, that are dealing with a much bigger BUMP in the road. I never in my wildest dreams, would of thought I could learn so much from women I have not met, but so admire.
Ok, bed time... Tell us about yourself......
Hello to all here......( Phyliiy, Patty ) ++++++++++
Susan ......check in time......hoping you are lurking.........Happy Friday....

Gonna be a cranky day for me and hubby. Didn't get much sleep last night because of two jerks who had an "accident" in the area, so they parked their cars to wait for the cops on the other side of the street right across from my house a little after 9 p.m.! They made so much noise that they woke the entire house! At first it was only the two cars that were involved, but it soon grew to two more cars showing up! At one point there was about a dozen people outside carrying on like it was a party at times or their arguing in Spanish! Hubby called the cops to report the noise and basically got told its an accident and we should just ignore it. Finally dropped off about 11, only to be woke up again at 1 a.m. by a tow truck picking up at least one of the cars! Fell back to sleep til the alarm went off to get hubby up for work.
As much as I am tired and cranky, I feel more for my hubby who has to work all day. Even though, he managed to get some sleep but by the time he gets home today, he's going to be super tired.

Oh MAN! Don't you just HATE that? Same thing happened a few years ago, a few houses up the block... only THAT one started out as a wild drunken party, with everyone taking it outdoors, and really raising all kinds of hell.
THEN someone in a car got mad at another guys car, and he started RAMMING it... backed up, hit it again, on and on!!! I called the police...
Sounds like YOUR fools had a party AFTER the wreck...Ha!
I think it's permissable to go ahead and shoot them, with that kind of carryings-on.

As if my being tired from the chit last night wasn't bad enough, went to Dunkin' Donuts to get me an iced coffee to help me wake up a bit. No go on the iced coffee, the machine was broke and they were in the process of trying to fix it! Had to settle for a home brewed cup of coffee. This Friday the 1th is really lving up to its reputation of being a bad luck day!

Ah geez, I hate when they don't have it ready! And don't fall for the iced "Americana".... that one will make your hair stand on end!
We must be the only ones up! Does that have an appostrophe?

lol
Me without an iced coffee on a bad day is like a summer day with no sun!
I think so but don't quote me on that.
May take a catnap today, don't want to fall asleep while watching my favorite college team play in conference tourney at noon my time!

Chevy- I am up and lurking....
That Friday the 13th post was perfect. If we didn't have bad luck, we would have no luck at all?

Teka your question on DBF two pages a go. I dunno. One of the things I'm tired of is the drama. I never had drama. DBF's life is all drama. One day at a time

Spookie, cool on DD wanting the glass
I wish DS felt the same way about my stuff. Not everything, but the inherited stuff is important. As far as your glass it's nice to know there's a back up should you need it if something big happens. BTW your pics were exceptionally taken. I've been scrolling for years. Your lighting really showed the sparkle and detail very well. Never understood internet sellers--Ebay and elsewhere, that took poor pics.I wonder if it's b/c you have the cross lighting. The dining room window across from the kitchen slider. Front and back lighting?Rosie, if you haven't seen it, you won't believe it. That young representative Tom Cotton that wrote the letter to the Ayatollah. It's being tossed around that he should be a Republican contender for 2020.
Badger Thanks on the bx
Yay, for your yearly visit in Calif. The pics from your visit always look so fun. Mostlymom thanks for the detective work pg192 & 194. I'll check it out. MM jump in more, we love having you.
Mags and Hi1-----about the sleeping. Each one of those is so true. Always1! I keep my Restoril in the drawer right beside me.
Mommy, badger told us long ago about doing coffee ice cubes. They might help when you can't get your daily fix from DunkinD. It's sure a nice way to keep from throwing out the left over coffee.
MammaRay how's it going?
Chevy, I'm working the insurance thing. Need to get more info on a particular glitch. Learning allot.

Ahhah--Mostly Mom named us Owlettes. Thanks MM Pg 1940 -
I'm lurking too. It's so much fun to read your posts. Had my chemo on Tuesday (gemzar/carboplatin) and I am exhausted. Been in bed most of yesterday. We are so lucky to have our niece from SC to help us out with the house and the kid (DS is seven). Love all the chat and the good news we heard lately (Patty and others). Happy Friday all!

good morning dahlinks! I just dragged my behind out of bed. I used to make myself 2 lattes every morning. During chemo though, I couldn't stand even the thought of coffee. Now that chemo ended in mid December, I stop off at my local Starbucks for a latte on my way to rads. It's delicious again.
lbgal, it looks like we have had similar chemo sequences. I had T/FAC first, then Ixempra/ Xeloda. I finished carbo/gemzar on Dec 16. Fun times! Hope you feel better soon.

Smarrty, Missed you, saw your post, but can't find it now. So sorry about your FIL. Glad that you are able to be there for him. Not to worry about the trip here, of course it's not even a second thought. HugsTangerang Hootie hoo How you doing?

HIO, you were listening in on my conversation with my brain?
Chevy, you cracked me up! I laughed til I coughed my lungs out! "I think it's permissible to just shoot them..." You are so right!
Jazzy, if it weren't for bad luck – wasn't that a Heehaw thang? Gloom, despair, and agony...
Well Owlettes, I'd be enjoying my retirement from treatment if it weren't for the gaping open sores on my chest and my right arm which aches like a sonuvagun and my left knee which has decided it doesn't like carrying me around any more. My poor baby Rose has such separation anxiety that I hated leaving her every day, and she still gets anxious when I take my shower and get dressed (which by the way I haven't done yet today). Lazy me. Sitting in the recliner with my moo blankie and my purring kitty, listening to music, reading and playing solitaire. DH promised Red Lobster tonight, today was bonus day. I just want to know when I get my Caribbean cruise he promised. Otherwise why the heck would I put myself through rads? Oh...
0 -
Mags- sounds like you are able to relax a bit now with no more treatment, but also still very sore/raw. You will heal now that rads is over and go enjoy some good food tonight. And hope your knee feels better too.
I love the idea of a Caribbean cruise too! You deserve to go have some fun after this rough ride.

Phylliwhoisconfused! You are pregnant.... that's it. When I was pregnant, I couldn't stand the smell of coffee.... I was soooooooo sick, for the first 12 months it seemed like.... But having little Sheri was worthit.... AND Janie!
Ah geez Mags....don't go coughing nothin' up! Can you guys DO that? I mean I would rather SWALLOW than get it out.... Good Lord, I can't even think about it..... I can do those nasal rinses, but that's not the same ......
WHAT were we talking about? I forgot now..... I'm going to put the acrylics on my other hand..... I put therm on a few days ago.... like practicing.... but I'm going to take my time..... glue the tips on, then paint ther acrulic and powder over therm.... then paint.... They really came out good on my one hand... And they haven't even chipped, or loosened/lifted. Yes Sass, I'll wear a little face mask.... ha!

Chevy - loving the Bling!! Has the snow melted for you yet? I can see grass, well mud, but still better than snow. It is warmer today so I opened the patio door for some fresh air. Have a great weekend. I really appreciate all the post you do, makes me smile

I hope to have a great weekend knowing I am not going to rads on Monday. I took candy boxes for the staff and the patients. I hope they all smiled.

hi pbgraham,
It totally looks like we had the same chemo sequence! Why did you stop carbo/gemzar in December? When I asked my MO how long will I be on it she said as far as she's concerned for the rest of my life.... That made me depressed. Are you taking a break or you switched?

to lighten the mood: got this done! Started in January, so this didn't take that long. It's ready to go to the quilter. It's for our quilt show challenge in September and then it will go to a femaleveteran.
