Hi girls good to see you. We have had a blustery night with the edge of Cyclone Pam brushing us. Thankfully we have got most welcome rain lots of it.
As a catch up have just had MRI and results say no mets however spine collapsing. Now have to see what they can do.
Smarty when are you going to Australia? We are heading your way late August. Will let folks know where and when.
Must drink my cup of tea.

Aly Yay no mets, sorry about collapsing. I have 4 lumbar bulging discs, probably from the fall right before dx. That fall saved my life. Strange. They were an incidental finding LOL like my brain tumor was (tumor found b/c of fall). We had a spine MRI done in 2010 b/c of AI pain. Full spine pain was awful while on the AI's. Part of why I was on Fentanyl patch. The other part was the rest of the body. After stopping the AI's, those discs got quiet. Knock on wood they stay that way.Looks like you are on the life plan for Femara--2007? Is that so?
Irony, Pam left needed water. 2004 was the same way in Florida-4 hurricanes. We had been in a drought for years. Devastation and aquifers refilling. Bad and good.

Spookie up for a chat? Okay, fun chat, glad spookiepooch feeling better.0 -
sure, sure, make fun of me and my linguistically challenged self! Hell, I only used erudite because I couldn't think of "articulate" or something better. I finally gave up and went with the word I could remember. Yes cammi,it was on my TP, and fresh on my mind.
lb - I am in a clinical trial for aggressive radiation for stage IV with 1-3 bone metastases. If I was not in that, I'm sure they would continue my chemo. Not sure they would continue the carbo/gemzar because it didn't shrink my tumor only stopped progression.
Patty, I'm glad they sprung you. Be sure to tie your pillow to your head if you keep falling-that will work if you don't have a football helmet. I have no idea why Chevy has not already suggested this! Well, if you don't want to take my advice, read sassy's. It's much better.

yes enjoyed the sunshine. Only sat in a chair and watch family work in yard but felt great to be a part if family again. The sun was AWESOme

Phyllithearticulate....Tying a pillow to your head to prevent head injuries if you dont have a helmet. That's genius! Keep in mind Sas gave me some wine earlier. My opinion of genius might be skewed. Maybe I should tie a pillow to my head just in case.

Hmmmmm was yakking with Sas earlier. Maybe she should take her own advise?????

Hi all, to paraphrase an earlier post, for me sometimes
Happiness is a cup of coffee and the insomniacs thread
Lots of pictures of blooming trees, dogs, adventures in thrifting and very often good news and negative scans and MRIs.
Patty, if you feel ok, then things are better. It is very possible that you will not have any more falls (maybe you got some dehydration and your blood pressure was low, so when you got up you got ortostathic hypotension and fell). But if it happens again and again past next week we all encourage you to mention it to your doctor. Sorry about DH grandmother
My grandparents are 94 and 92 and still going strong. I am mentally prepared that they might die anytime, but I'm sure it'll still be tough.Phgraham - thanks for answering my question.
Everybody else - happy evening!

Dutchess, you say you're screwed??? Is scewed the same thing? YOU said it.... Or was it Phyllialwaysintroubble???
Tie a pillow to your head??? That IS genius Phyllicakes.. HaaaaaaaaaaahHaaaaa! I don't even know lindquistically!! You just made up that word. You are trying to trick us.
Yes! Doesn't Sassy always bail us out of our own selves? I mean she has the answers and states them most clearly. See? That's the best I can do.
Today was most beautiful! Worked in my back garden awhile... and did my nails..... YOU know.... "Important" stuff.... Now I am worn out.... sniff....

you found your garden???? Is the white stuff gone??? Did you freeze????
0 -
Hah! Yeah, no kidding! I can't believe it's all gone! I don't think a lot of my roses made it.... Too many times it was below freezing and stayed too long under that snow! Oh well! xoxoxo

I always thought roses needed a period of cold weather. Mine up north did. I never had luck with them here, finally gave up on them.

Alyson, hoping to go down under next year, in the fall/spring there, spring/fall here. Which is better? Do you guys always get cyclones like we get hurricanes? (Not in CA). Son still hasn't left yet. Have to finish this stupid house, belongs to one of the new owners of the Sacramento Kings. 5 stories in SF.
So had meeting, now have to resize and cut back on the number of blocks. Grrrrrr. We will start sewing in May. Have to go make dinner. Lots of hard work! Bought a cooked chicken, bought Chinese chicken salad mix-just add lettuce, and strawberries, lots of work! Haha

Chinese chicken salad sounds good. My turn to cook tomorrow. Hmmmm

This is the Bradford pear tree in front of our house. (Non-bearing.) When all the ones in town are blooming it is quite a sight. We are maybe 2 days away from that.
0 -
Mags- OK and NM on the same tree bloom schedule it seems!
0 -
Yes Spookie they do, but this past winter was really wild! I hope they show some new growth soon...
Smaarty~ I have to do something with a baked chicken also! So your recipe is the greens, fresh strawberies, chicken, probably walnuts, hard-boiled eggs, and maybe sesame oil? Or Ranch??? That sounds good!

feeling stronger every day. Heck every hour. I really enjoyed getting sun on my face outside yesterday and plan to do the same today at some point. Dh and ds's are off to work / school so I will keep my pistol on my lap under my blanket in the recliner. But let's face it. I couldn't do much to fend an attacker or burglar off without itt. Now a couple hidden loaded guns on my side tend to even things up a little. Course I stay close to the house which I can run into unless I am sleeping. Then them would be bad guys gonna see a lot of anger stored up in me coming out all over them idiots. Geez may put a few young men to work cleaning up the yard if they pass the no shirt tests. Will send pics if it gets that far but before it is considered evidence lol.

good Morning owlies.
Chevy only 3 oz. of coffee left and no wine. Must break down and shop.
Jazzy, when you posted to Mags "OK and NM" I sat for too many seconds trying to figure out who they were. Then got it, sheesh.
Patty. fun and sun. Let's see a pillow on your head. Remember the Friends episodes with the turkey on the head?
Spookie predicted weather all week sun and in the 80's. Spring?

Mags- all our cherry trees, Indian plum and ornamentals are flowering. Tulip trees have been out for a good 2 weeks. Love this time of year. Hope you are feeling better. Our azaleas are just starting to flower... exciting. Rhodies are next! I love hearing the updates on different parts of the country, little travel log.
Chevy- hilarious about the cup and the helmet! I got a good chuckle over that. Hope that salad turned out well. Patty- lay low keep that pillow nearby and the sun on your face.
I heard FL and CA both having heat waves. Still cool here, foggy this morning. No doctor appointments all week for anyone in our house! Yay.
