LOL. Welcome to this century!!!! See how easy and fun? Looks cloudy, you have rain? We don't thank dog.

Thanks for the likes on the poem. I'll post it the W & F Sassy. Glad you like it.
It's hailing like crazy out my window. The sky looks all sinister and stormy. I like that look and the sound on the windows.
Sas--Love your patio. I will be getting my patio furniture out soon. DH started the first improvements in our yard since moving here. He move six giant rhodanendrons into the front lawn under some oak trees.
I'm off to take a much needed nap. I'll check to say "hi" again later. Happy Wednesday!

Oh Good JOB Sass! I love your pictures, and your sense of style.... You're such a girlie-girl..... just like me! Love your pool area, AND your bathroom!
So much nicer than having your toilet out on your porch! Yes, I remember....

I'll post more tomorrow.... been busy doing "stuff" all day, and have to go find something important to do! xoxoxo

Chevy OMD I almost forgot about the toilet on the deck. May be I should have forgotten. LOL girlie girl. Never thought of that, yes I suppose so. But I was this major tomboy in the 50-60's and on. Tree climbing, football, basketball, cheerleading, baseball(short stop), bugs, camping. Thanks on the pool area, I'm going to try and get pics of the lights tonite. That stone patio DBF made for me. He was so patient each time I asked him to make it bigger. AND look how clean the white trusses are. DBF again.
Spookie, not cloudy maybe I smudged the lens?
MommieZ, don't mean to wreak your feeling about hail. It means the weather is right for tornado's Well I guess you did seek cover--underneath the blankets.
Mommie I have zeroscaping, not xeriscaping, zeroscaping. Last house was this major Nirvanha. Here Dini the lab knocks over all the planters looking for lizards. It was cheaper to not put in plants. I lost about 400.00$ worth of planters. An especially nice one out of California. Irreplaceable. Where's Mommieof2?????? She hasn't been around in awhile????
Phyliss hasn't posted. I was hoping she would. She's done with rads yesterday. She needs us in her pocket with prayers and munchies. Hmm yeah, we can do that. She's having her gallbladder out Thursday. She has had several GB attacks since Dec. She was hoping to make it through the trial. It's been really tough on her.
Off to counselors

Sassy--You are good to keep track of everyone and remind us who needs. I love your story about the dog looking for lizards. Lizards are just adorable. I played with them growing up in Arkansas, but you don't get many here the the Northwest. A few tiny alligator lizards. DH spots them easier than me. "Zeroscaping"--funny. I believe you have coined a new word. I like it. Last day of rads is tomorrow. As soon as I get my energy back I will try to take pics and post them.
Phyliss, you'll be in my prayers. So sorry things have been so tough for you.

Sassy, sorry to rub it in but here in the NW tornadoes are extremely rare, so we don't worry about hail storms preceding them. We just ooh and aah over how fast the ground turns white and how much noise it makes on the windows and skylights. (There may be just a touch of smugness creeping in here...
) Mombie, are you done with rad. or do you have another day or two?
I finally got word today that the genetic testing panel has been approved despite the denial letter received yesterday. Another week or so to wait for the results. It's only taken since Sept. to get this accomplished, so I'm feeling quite efficient. (Insert sarcasm emot. here) My MO may faint from the shock of it all.

Wonderful, J. Thank you. I like your signature line, too. I will definitely borrow it.

Hopeful--Last rads is tomorrow!! I am so glad. The emotional stress has been worse than the bodily pain. I'm ready to be able to work on healing. I had to do genetic testing too. I was so relieved when it came back negative. I didn't want my daughter to have to add "high risk for bc" to her already long list of medical troubles that she will already deal with for life. I hope your tests come back negative too. You'll post the results I hope? You'll be in my thoughts.
Sas--Hopeful is right. Storms here are pretty benign.
Well, the occasional ice storm can be a little troublesome at times. We get winds that cause power outages and trees to fall too. Mostly we just grow moss on our heads due to being rained on so much. LOL Now, when I lived in Arkansas, we had to beware of lightning and tornadoes and such. We watched the lightning the way kids watch a laser show these days. It was beautiful as long as you were inside.

JWoo--those are amazing--love the ones that blend into the tree trunk

Hopeful which genetic test you having? CYP or cancer stuff?JwoooHooootiehoo Nice owls. I have just a bit of fuzzy vision. When I read the URL I did a double take. I thought it said earthporn versus earthporm. M's and N's bleed into each other.
Zombie I will take pics in daylight.
Yay last day. Do you get to ring the bell? Waitng for dark dark to take pics of lights on the deck.Well night pics don't do the deck rope lighting any justice at all. I was unhappy at first when I (DBF) put them up. They are new Orleans/Key West party colors. I expected Christmas colors. PattyP talked me into relaxing and just enjoy them. After a few days of looking at them I did learn that I liked them allot. Green, blue, pinkie to red. Perfect with pool light on. Very nice ambience. But the pic looks stark white.

Hopeful- I did approve the move to Palm Springs. Some other places they were thinking were just not going to be good (aka the snowy northeast from which we all originated). They like going up there and the new home is in a retirement community. I won't be going to visit in the summer, only the winter (LOL!)
Mombie- congrats on finishing rads tomorrow. It's a long haul through it. Hopefully you can begin to recover and find more normalcy with time. It takes awhile, so be patient. Happy dance for you!
JWoo- good to see you here again. I hope things are getting settled.
Footprints- thinking of you tonight and hope your breathing is better.
Hi to all other friends here too!

Patty wherer u n hru
Chevy i am so happy 4 u
I still have my port, haven't used it, stopped chemo july, wanted to get it out n mo said i can but he would prefer that i not. Get it flushed every 6 weeks.

If you are done with treatment, why would MO say keep it? Mine is just so painful, I can't imagine keeping it. But if there is a good enough reason....?
0 -
Blondie- wonder what the MO is thinking with that port.....

Sassy's going to be up all night, every night, adding photos now that she's figured out how to do it. That should liven things up even more around here.
Mombie's right about the ice storms - and the moss. One year we were without power for over a week after an ice storm. As soon as the power came back on the phones went out - for two full weeks. Ugh.
Sassy, I'm doing the BRCAs and the BART. I don't have a strong expectation on finding anything but no one else in my extended family has done this and there are indications it could be important. My BS wanted to have it done before surgery, just in case it affects any of my decisions. My MO wanted it done due to family history. It only took them since Sept. to make it happen. (Throws up hands in disgust with insurer who shall remain nameless.)
Mombie, I know rad. was really, truly tough on you. I am so proud of you for finding your voice, asserting your needs AND for toughing it out. I think I would have been tempted to walk out the door after some of those days and never return. Give yourself a HUGE pat on the back - gently.
Jazzy - glad you're o.k. with PSP!
Take care everyone. I don't want to hear of anyone else injuring themselves, needing to be hospitalized, or having anything untoward happen. You all deserve some good times.

Thanks Hopeful--A good night to you as well.
I very much appreciate the tender support I receive here. Thanks all.

Sassy- love your dress, it's beautiful. Wonderful shrine for 38 years. The Lanae they have in Florida are so great, air gets in and all the bugs stay out. I don't think you can get them in Oregon. I admire the one my Mom has in Florida. Cute house, I expected more displays of glass ware. Your dog Schatzi is so adorable. Glad the DBF break up was just a realignment.
Blondie- keep the port. If ever you need access there it is. I have waited months between flushings and it always seems to work. Glad they are keeping you pain free and comfy. Mombie-sorry your port hurts. Maybe when you are done it can be removed. That's easy. Hope you have fun in Hawaii.
Hopeful-good luck with the testing. May it be negative. Did you see the hosta place or get to visit? Let me know if you go.
Patty-prayers your way.

Rosie, no, haven't had time to get to the hosta garden but should take a look on line, shouldn't I? Thanks for the nudge! My dad and I are planning to go up to the Hulda Klager Lilac Garden in Woodland, WA next week. The two of us try to get up there together every spring. This year the timing's tricky, as it's been so mild but is nippy again so they think it will slow the opening of some of the blossoms. Have you been there? If you like lilacs it is definitely worth a visit. And yes, they also sell plants. I have one lilac and one very, very nice hydrangea bought on one of our expeditions. The prices are fair, plants are large and vigorous and the proceeds help support the garden.
The Skyline Grange has a native plant sale this weekend and I'm FINALLY getting my ribes sanguineum - my gift to myself for our hummingbirds. I've pre-ordered three of them.

I'm praying Debbie's prayer for all of you. Sleep well.

OMD!!!!!!!!!! I mean I loved all the pictures, and then I started seeing these wierd ones with like LIGHTS or aura's, and I thought WTH? I'm not even SMOKING anything! I thought my mind went zig-zagging, like maybe with a rainbow on it?
And then I remembered, this has to be Sass out there at NIGHT with her trusty Kodak camera, with the old flash-attachment, and I felt relieved. DAMN girl, I thought I was losing my EYE-sight, along with my EAR--sight!
You guys are so fun! Susan...... She is as bad as me.... Hah! But mine are usually not taken by standing on my head, at night, in the middle of one of those seasonal hurricanes, with my boots on.
Now watch Spookie will be here any minute, with her trusty whatever camera-slash-phone-slash-weather app, showing us the weather in beautiful wherever Florida.
OUR weather on the other hand will be COLD and rainy-slash-snow-slash-chitty for today. No playing around out in my garden.... (pouting)
But drinking this coffee will get me going for the day.... xoxooxo

And what's worse, is I HAD one of these! And THIS one.
0 -
And THIS! We used one of these in the 40's... Our phone number was 0753.... Don't try calling... you will get no-where... Nor will I be there....

And you had to sit or stand right THERE... The cord was like a foot long... And you had "party-lines" and it cost an arm and a leg to call "long-distance." I don't know how we survived!
