Feelingfeline and Julie--thanks, she did that with a regular pencil and her finger
I don't have a fun pic to post. Too tired. But I'm mentally sending Warm and Fuzzy thoughts as I drift to a nap.
Wow, it just started hailing.

I wrote a poem for my cousin who passed away--it's meant to be through the eyes of her husband:
My beloved Angel took flight this day
With honor, she was done with earthly care
She flew to heaven, but not far away
Leaving her love behind to share
That I might not feel too much dismay
For she knew her absence would be hard to bear
I will fly away to meet her someday
She'll greet me lovely, smiling, and fair
We'll hug and kiss and happily say
No more shall we be a separate pair
Together forever, we will stay
In blissful joy beyond compare

If there are poetry lovers here, I can post more. I just don't want to bore anyone. Sometimes I worry that poetry is a dying interest in the world.
Thank you Sassy. Hugs

Love your daughter's drawing!
Best day ever!!! My great day is that I got to meet Carpe Diem and her husband today!!!!!! They're off to the Botanic Gardens and Zelandia (a nature reserve) and the weather is even half decent!

Thanks OncoWarrior. I've never thought of writing for that purpose before, although that is not the first poem I have written for one who passed. Although sad, life passing along to the next level is kind of beautiful to me. I hope that doesn't sound morbid. I never feel like the people who go on before us are really lost or far away and I like to capture that thought of them when I write. I write about spiritual, humorous, song and other things too. It will probably ruin everyone's view of me, but I have a humorous one that is a little kid's point of view about eating boogers. You have to have raised a kid who had this bad habit in order to appreciate the humor there. (Hope I didn't gross anyone out. LOL)

OK, let it be known that this was requested. It's gross but funny!!
Just A Snack
It really isn't much
It's just a little snack
To tide my tummy over
Until my mom gets back
It's better than junk food
I have it all the time
It may be my favorite
Yet it doesn't cost a dime
It's like a fine pudding
But salty like Pringles
It comes in varied sizes
But mostly just in singles
My boogers are so yummy
They don't even cause plaque
I never spoil my dinner
'Cause it's really just a snack

"Common Law Copyright and date ----------(when you wrote each one)" BCO has a thingy in the terms of service that they own what ever we write. Doubt the want to own a buggar poem. To cute. ROTFLOL

OncoWarrior--I am only saying this here because I couldn't in the PMs. I just tried to message you and I got a window saying that we only get a limited number of private messaging per day and I've hit that limit. I will send you that special message tomorrow I guess. Thanks

Love the poem! Too funny!
I write alternate lyrics to songs for fun.
This is sung to "skip to my lou". Vindaloo is a very hot curry (Indian dish)
I had a curry,
A vindaloo,
Made my taste buds say
Whoo Hoo!
Made my tummy very blue
Run to the loo quite quickly...

Mombie you and your daughter are so creative . Boogers
. My older stepson used to stick them on the wall by his bed (waay gross)
. Thankfully he is 20 and doesn't do this now
. The poem for your cousin is beautiful. Sorry to hear you had to lose her sooner than you would have wished. I totally believe her husband and other loved ones will meet her "lovely, smiling, and fair".

Good Morning gals! You are all so creative! I love "home-made" poems, and so enjoy anyone with artistic skills! Now THOSE were big words, but sometimes I know what I am talking about...

I couldn't put a coherent poem together.... BUT I can put together a fantastic trail-mix! yay!!!!!!!!!

I do like poetry. My favorite poets are Emily Dickinson and Robert Frost.

Is there a poetry lover's thread on here? If not, someone could start one. We have books and birdwatching, so why not poetry?
