    Feel better Ruth.

Warm sunny day so I took a nice walk at lunchtime and went to bootcamp after work. Hit over 13k steps today which is good since tomorrow will be a busy work day with no time for exercising.

    Good night all.

hey ladies, well it's nearly midnight but the car is packed.  Will work tomorrow morning, have lunch with mom, go get my friend, then hit the road.  Will be off-line until next week.  Wonderland, see you soon!  ♥ to all

Cbaird glad the therapist was able to help and you're worth the cost. TH that is funny about the outfits and it's true, I have a friend who worked on board a ship as a port lecturer and she had to be at formal dinners all the time, she had two black evening dresses and dressed them up with different scarves and necklaces, she said no one ever really noticed cause she always "looked different". Badger have a wonderful trip and hug Wonderland for me (and you know I'm a hugger)Happy. Poor Ruth hope you feel better by the morning.

Did a Spin class tonight and ow ow ow my shoulders are so sore from the massage yesterday

Cbaird, I'm interested in your plan of recovery and read what I could find on Restorative Exercise Specialist. Websites I visited who practice the technique are those who qualified in massage or sports massage (not exercise instructors). If you get relief and good results - wonderful and worth it, and seems to be recognized by National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). I assume cost would most likely be pinned to prices of a sports massage, which runs to £60 an hour here.

Freestyle step yesterday and off to yoga tonight after a day in the classroom of lectures and exams.

Ruth- hope you are feeling better today? Spring crud is going around for sure.

Hope all the ladies traveling to connect with one another this month have a good trip and fun time!

I KNOW that Badger & Wonderland will have fun, fun, fun!

I still felt kind of 'blucky' this morning, but crawled over to school & did my sub duty as promised (minus my beloved cup of coffee) and lived to tell the tale. Hopefully I will be all the way back on track by tomorrow.

The weather was so beautiful this last three days in the PNW that I was able to get in two nice long bike rides, dig up and move some shrubs and just generally get some stuff done without getting overly exhausted (the radiation fatigue is still there, but i just finished rads a week ago, so I guess I can't expect miracles..sigh).

But then yesterday, my BFF took the day off from work and we went and hit a bucket of balls, then to lunch on the Columbia River, then back to do a long walk. Well, while walking and taking, I didn't notice a piece of root-lifted piece of sidewalk and slammed my toe into it, and did a face-plant. Luckily, I caught myself mostly on one hand (which is nice a sore and scabbed), along with a bloody knee, and a slightly scabbed chin and scratched sun-glasses. Today my toe is killing me but I doubt it's broken. I just feel clumsy and beat up.

Oh well, the bruises will be a nice addition to the radiation burns when I meet with my oncology surgeon tomorrow to discuss the removal of my other breast. :)

Evilmidget, I hate it when those unexpected toe stub/mishaps happen. Wonderland & Badger, have a fun, relaxing time together. Yesterday, took my level 3 anatomy and physiology and nutrition exams - passed both - yay.

Vi-box and body balance at the gym this morning.

LilacBlue, here is their website, http://www.restorativeexercise.com/ , started by Katy Bowman, I also follow her at www.alignedandwell.com and www.katysays.com . Her new book Move Your DNA is really good. I am all about technical stuff lol, how the body works and all that. The price of the teacher I am going to is $60 an hour, only had the consult and one hour so far, went home with flash cards to practice daily, a half dome roll for calf stretching and dots on my feel to remind myself of alignment. It is hard but necessary to remember that alignment is on-going through all our movments and not static/posture only. It is amazing how different/weird I feel when I line up right, how slowly I have to walk to be in-line and how soon I have to break it off and walk "wrong" like a duck cuz the right way hurts! So, this is my time to go back to square one and figure my body back out before I go to the gym and just hurt myself. I hope to learn more about movement and become more flexible too...we shall see!

I don't think I've checked in here in a little while! I did some walking yesterday and have done two days of week 2 of my couch to 5k program. I got a little off track but keep plugging away. I haven't been sleeping very well, which affects my energy. Could be the tamoxifen? I don't know. Anyway, I'm here today and got a good walk/jog in for 40 minutes. Feeling good. :)

Since our nice weather ended after Sunday all I can report for exercise is a 15 minute walk today and yesterday i did my stair routine at work. Walk across the building and go up 8 flights of stairs, go down and walk back and up 4. Not much. Looking forward to better weather again.

35 minutes of boring treadmill walking for me, but at least I got on there and did it. :) Every time I get my heart rate up and start working up a sweat I imagine creating an inhospitable environment for cancer cells to grow in. It keeps me going.
