Hi all...I am waiting for my ambien to kick in! So might wilt any moment.. hahah stuff never works that good, but better then nothing. Love the owl picture. Snow in May is just so wrong. So to answer your question-"how was your day?"
We took all three girls, 21, 19 and 14 to the Rose Garden in Portland. First we went to a food cart area and got great Egyptian Gyros chicken, yogurt sauce, lettuce tomatoes onions, cucumbers and seasonings all wrapped up.. WOW! 5$ and I was stuffed. Nice to sit outside on a gorgeous day 74 degrees and sunny. We then walked through the garden, smelled everything. My DD1 has loved roses since she was wee little- burries her heard in the flower! Funny..she was so happy! Told us "such a good day!" The youngest was a bit bored.. 14 and roses so so. It was great to see our college age kid and catch up. The Rhododendrons there were in full bloom and old growth a good 20 feet tall and 15-20 feet across! I was in heaven. It was a very good day - flowers and everyone together and healthy - oh and sunny no rain!
How was your Mother's Day?

typing on my Iphone, so can't do long post. Happy to hear u had a wonderful day with family. Wish I live near flower gardens. You are blessed. I had a good day. Both of my girls woke up 1 hour b4 their usual time to make me breakfast...gluten free pancakes with eggs and a fruit platter .So sweet of them. It's not easy to prepare gf pancake. They gave up their sleep!!! It is usually very hard to get them up on Sunday morningsfor church. Hope u r in dream land by now cuz it took me 15 min to type this on the phone. Good nite...

Loverly! How can you type on your PHONE?

You mean you just type on the numbers? And then you pick up the receiver, and there is a screen in there, and that's how? Haaaaaaaaaahah! We HAD one of those when I was little... And party-lines too... And our # was 0753... THAT'S how old I am!
You are going under the knife WEDNESDAY? I don't know anything about that surgery, but I will be in your pocket... Wear something with pockets, and write my name on a piece of paper.. and I will be with you.... okay? And then as soon as you get home, let us know .... And make your driver stop and get you a chocolate coke and a big juicy burger! Okay, and SASS! Good lord you made it out alive! He beHAVED!
And Rosie, don't give her any ideas..... I told her she can't marry that ner-do-well (orhoweveryouspellthat) He might be nice and all, and whatEVER, but neither she nor my Daughter can marry these people! They can only keep them around as helpful friends.... that's it! When you need your furnace fixed, call THEM.... or pictures hung... stuff like that.
Rosie, that sounds sooooooo good!
YES! SNOW! But I don't think it hurt my plants.... Can't tell yet... We are soooooooo lucky to not be around those Tornado's!
I watched that rescue last night, on the Weather channel, about those 2 morons who thought their pick-up truck could swim across rising water! It was all filmed live! Finally that military Black-hawk Helicopter came to rescue them....! I would have drug them through the river awhile, just to knock some sense into them. Hope they have to PAY for that rescue.... That one dip-chit was shown on his PHONE while he sas on top of the truck.... they intercepted his tweets, etc!
Cute little OWL Loverly! Have a great day gals!

Loveroflife- good luck with your final preparation for this week and we will be in your pocket on Thursday. It will be good to be on the other side of that TE being out. I did not have that, but my sister did and she was glad when it was gone.
Winter seems to have moved on through and it should be back to the 70s today! It is a beautiful morning starting out here, and I spent some time on the patio to meditate and do some journaling before my day gets going.
Chevy- are you warming up too?
0 -
Lovelife- Wow you txt all that on your phone! Amazing.. Your breakfast in bed sounds terrific! What are your kids ages? I remember all those eggs and bits of shell from their efforts at cracking.. haha Well now they are older and no shells. You had a good day too. No gardens near where you live? We lived in CA for 12 years and Sacto and Davis and the Bay Area have nice gardens. I have been to a few in San Diego. That's all I know of. We will be with you for your surgery- wishing you well.
Chevy you make me laugh. Maybe it will be Sassy's DS and his girlfriend who get married and make Sassy a Grandma! More pictures! I am glad all your plants made it. All our sunny weather has flown the coop! It's cold and rainy. Thank goodness I put our senile old dog in the kitchen last night apparently she christened the entire thing with poo and piddle. Sucks getting old. DH is a very mellow person to have cleaned it up before work. yucky.. now everything mells like lysol. I just can't put her down...
sigh... even though she's going on 18 years old and losing her little doggy marbles and ability to hold it.I have an oncology appointment this morning. I hate going to the doctor.... such is life in cancerland.

Thanks Jazzy!!! It's actually this Wednesday. Can't wait to be at the end of this process. The tissue expander is not the most comfortable thing.
Ms. Chevy, if the plastic surgeon gives me a double D or if he makes me lopsided, could you come out of my pocket and yell at him for me? Can't do the heavy DD because I will fall over flat on my face. They will sit me up to make sure I'm even. Just make sure you don't fall out when they do that. I am so disappointed that I won't be awake to suck in my stomach to make itlook flatter when they do that. Btw, I love the video. Love her feistiness

Loveroflife- in your pocket Wednesday! I promise! Get that TE out and onward to reconstruction!
Rose- I hope your apt this morning goes well. In your pocket too. I hate the cancer doc visits too. Mine start up in late July again.

Jaz- thanks.. glad that is over with for 6 weeks. I need to learn complaining doesn't help. Ah the games in cancerland, never can tell how the board is played, it's depressing. Going to the oncologist always puts me in a funk. Blondie's onc did scans to decide where she was in regards to hospice.
Just got an email from the folks who monitor water pressure up at the cabin. I guess our big water holding tank and the spring that feeds it is only 1/4 full. There has not been enough rain, run off or snow pack to fill it. It could seriously run dry by the summer or when everyone is up at the cabins on holiday weekends. In 8 years this has never happened. The drought is seriously even hitting Oregon, on the Western rainy side! Oy I am shocked. Conservation is the key until the rains return. Here it is not even June and the lake it 1/2empty and the springs running low. So poor old CA isn't the only state with water issues! Just saw the news and our snow pack is 11% of normal, the highest snow pack anywhwere in Oregon is 13% of normal and the Southern Klamath Falls area the snow pack is ZERO. What the heck are we going to do in August and September?? OY folks. WOW. Water is life treat as nectar of the Gods!
Be well ya'll.

Rose- I have had similar experiences with healthcare that resulted in poor or pure wrong care. Despite cancer being such a huge thing in our country, you would think they would do better with us. I am sorry your visit was not great. You deserve better.

Rose, how did you sneak above me...back door just like HI1?? Man, I need to learn how to type faster. It is like texting. If you don't get your message in fast enough, you have to re-do everything. Sometimes I have to go back to my post and edit because of that. Boy, what do you do with your situation? Choose quality of life or weather the terrible side effects of drugs with no guarantee. SIGH. With my first pathology report it came back as DCIS. Upon the request of another oncologist( we know him personally) to exam different area of the tissue sample, they found microinvasion; but, because it is in a small area no chemo or radiation is warranted. I am ER/PR- so can't take SERMs like Tamoxifen. Herceptin only gives you one year of protection( while you are on it) per another oncologist. That leaves me no insurance for recurrence. Don't get me wrong, I am grateful I don't have to do chemo or take any meds, but just the thought of not being protected from possible rogue cells that wasmissed. I have been having bone pain on and off the last few weeks possibly due to changes in the weather, but boy you know that thought in the back of your head sometimes doesn't give you peace. Yes, that is another thing that cancer robs you of....peace.
No nice garden near Sacramento that I know of. I heard about the one in San Francisco and I have been to the one near San Jose.
My girls are 16 and 12...teenagers already!!!!!

Morning girls! So now SEE? Spookie is going to wake up any day now, and comment on me just posting a link! She will infer that I am sluffing off, and ridiculousness stuff like THAT!
But you must note, that SHE doesn't even stop by when she CAN! If I had a glass of water, I could go over there and pour it on her head and get that lazy bones OUT of bed! At least I'm HERE!

Good morning friends- I was thinking about Cami yesterday and wondering if anyone has heard from her in awhile? Maybe on other threads?

Hi gals.... Morning Spookie.... I mean good-afternoon almost...Ha!
Yes, Cammi posts on the drinking thread... appropriately enough, and she sounds okay! Sometimes I see her on FB, or when I email her and raise 3 kinds of hedoubleL, and then she sends a link or something back.... She has a lot on her plate.... er, phone, and I think she is still fighting with that....
I'll track her down pretty soon!

Chevy- thanks for the updates on Cami. Glad she is around and it cracks me up she is on the Drinking Thread.
Patty- I heard from Blondie late last week and she was okay then. We trade PM's sometimes. I have not seen anything from her since, but hope she is doing okay. I like to know how some of my long time friends here (Blondie, Cami and Teka being part of that tribe) are doing. I see Teka around various threads. We both have a love of gardening.
My asthma has been bothering me off and on for a week or so and yesterday was not a good day. After some inhaler treatments, I am better but made an apt to see my PCP tomorrow. It may be time for some Advair. All this spring moisture (good for the land and my skin) is not so great for my asthma so I think I need some corrective action. Will let you all know what my doc says......

You want bright eyes and bushy tail, get a squirrel.
Oh wait. That's Chevy!!
0 -
Spookie, I so agree about being bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! Not a morning person either.
0 -
Oh I had too be bright eyed and bushy tailed. I got to meet a new doc today. He talks fast , doesn' t listen real well. BUT- he was right on top of a thorough diagnosis plan. He did a biopsy. Results in two weeks.
Lovely in your pocket tomorrow for surgery. Btw I'm not getting married. I love the guy,but Chevy described it well. It's good to leave it the way it is.
Mommy yay your moving along after your surgery.
Anyone wanting to chat call

Ms. Sass, have u gotten your computer back yet? Hopefully, u don't have to come to this

Loveroflife- that reminds me of shopping at Walmart! Where it all hangs out!
Good luck tomorrow, hoping things go smoothly for you.

Ms. Chevy said she will be in my pocket tomorrow too. Could u keep an eye on her for me? The resident assisting with surgery usually is very young and cute!
Biopsy??? Waiting game. Sigh
