Love the pics, Claire, Sandi and Ruth. Great framing idea, Sandi. That is crazy with the snow, Ruth. Cheryl and Wonderland, I'll have to try acting crazy to drive telemarketers crazy. (What do I mean "try"?) I usually tell them I don't speak German. But the Microsoft ones speak English. Patoo, glad you are homeless now. Odie, have fun in the color run!
Went out on a bike ride yesterday through this scenic lakeside route.

Lovely photo, Heidi! I'd bike every day if I had a place to ride like that. My butt would know it too like hbcheryl's! haha
Welcome back to "normal", Patoo.
Wonderland, you've taught me a new trick! Unfortunately, doubt MS will find me down here, so won't get a chance to try it out and have me a good laugh.
My exercise yesterday was packing bags of food and walking to each school's "station" to stock their bins for Feed the Hungry. This will be every Monday now. Normal walk today.

One hour walk in the park after work. One of the first things to get in FL will be a bike but will make sure to invest in a good gel seat!

Went to my class this morning, but the instructor's kid had gotten sick at the last minute so we just did a tape, which was not great but better than nothing. I have a meeting tonight so will miss yoga....darn. Tomorrow, no walking; we are going to a very sad funeral for a 62 year old family friend who died unexpectedly over the weekend. His kids are almost like a niece and nephews to us, my dad was like an adopted grandpa to them etc. so it is going to be very sad, tough day.

3 mile walk/ jog....can't wait to be done with AC! Sick of feeling sick!
0 -
Ruth: So sorry about your friend. Very sad.
littleblue: I hear you about AC. When will you be through?
Patoo: The countdown to retirement is ON!
katcar: Mondays will be special for you.
Heidi: Beautiful!
Had a long lunch meeting

Wonderland- I have one more AC then 4 taxol....ugh
0 -
littleblue: Sounds like you're doing dose dense. That's for I did: 4 AC and 4 Taxol every 2 weeks. Wishing you the best with your last AC (it's rough, that's for sure) and then onward to T. It's very different from AC. (((HUGS))) to you!

YIKES I have been away too long! A little slow on the exercise the last week and a half. I finally got my port taken out on 5/1 and the doctor said I couldn't row for two weeks, so trying to do some videos at home. And this week I am away from home at training classes. But looking forward to getting back out and rowing on Saturday. I have a credit at BestBuy, might look into a FitBit!

I enjoyed all the pictures -well except maybe that snow picture. egads that's just wrong.
I did end up at the botanic garden again on Mother's Day so we walked (or strolled) quite a bit. It was cloudy and cool but still nice to be there. Unfortunately I have not done meaningful exercise Monday or Tuesday. Tomorrow is another opportunity!

6000 steps. I have yet to make my 10,000 but I do ok with the other stats. I'm gaining weight, though, and that's not desirable. I was hoping to lose 10 lbs before the 23rd. I think I gained 4 instead. I have so little control over my eating. I'm back living with my mom and she is a control freak, even controlling what I eat. I know it's crazy. Like tonight, I missed dinner because I was sick in bed after my walk today. She saved it more me. I ate about half. When I told her I had enough, she said with disgust just throw it away. Enough for another meal for me! She wanted me to eat it rather than throw it away. I packed it up, put it in my little fridge downstairs, and will eat it for breakfast or lunch. This could be the beginning of something big - or better yet small, me.

((( Ruth ))) Hugs!
Almost 10,000 steps today while overseeing a small siding repair however missed bootcamp due to same. Grrr......

Littleblue, I feel your pain. I said that after doing AC, I know how Russian defectors feel when they are being slowly poisoned by the KGB!

Pretty picture, Heidi.
Rhody, yea to being portless!!
Dunes, yikes, does your mom have a dog you can sneak the food to under the table?
Exciting changes, patoo!!!

Ruth.....sending good thoughts and strength for tomorrow. I recently lost someone equally close. I still can't believe she is no longer among us.
Otherwise, a walk as opposed to a run tonight. Tomorrow, not that much exercise as have the Opera, my one arts subscription. Seeing Ariadne auf Naxos. Just love the music of Richard Strauss, but have never seen this particular opera of his. - Claire

Ruthbru....we also had snow in Denver on Mother's Day....started snowing Saturday night and stopped by Sunday morning....probably got 6 inches!! melted pretty quickly from the side walks and streets, but the trees took a big hit!!!
My walking has been impacted by all the rain over the past week or 10 days or so.....its been a struggle to get 15K/day.....

Ruth I am so sorry (((HUG))). Our instructor announced tonight that thieves got hold of her debit card info and today they drained her bank account down to zero, poor girl is travelling this weekend and no card, she will get her money back but not for a couple of weeks till it's all sorted out. Aww Dunesleeper too funny, she's trying to show her love through food.
Body Pump and Body Jam tonight.

Sorry to hear about your family friend, Ruth. Sending good thoughts for the funeral. Congrats, LB!

Another bike ride today, about 45 km through some rapeseed fields.

5/12: no formal excerise but walked.

Ruth, love the picture of you and your dear mother. I sure miss mine. I do the same thing with her recipes; she had such beautiful handwriting (a lost art these days). Also, so very sorry to hear of the loss of your close friend. I've been thinking of you today.
I actually took two much-needed rest days. Back in the saddle today. Ran three miles with my pup in the doggie stroller then did a 25-minute Wii Active killer cardio workout. Ick! I don't like to work that hard (insert whine here). Planning to do my upper body weights and ab work during the finale of American Idol. Can't wait! (for the show, not the weights and abs).

Hi ruthbru - they are such sweet cats.
Walked/jogged 3 miles today at the beach boardwalk, love being outside after a long, cold winter.

Welcome SweetThing! Cute username.
Heidi: Just beautiful!
Cheryl: That's awful what happened to your instructor. She's lucky to get her money back but too bad it will take weeks.
Meljo: I have watched American Idol only a few times this season but I always like to know who wins.
Dh and I mowed today. I started before he did so I mowed for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Later I walked/ran at the park. Dh doesn't like to walk at the park so he rides with me to the park and then walks home and around the neighborhood. Gorgeous day today.

Welcome, SweetThing!
A hard day today; made even more poignant because his daughter is graduating from college this Saturday, & son's wife is expecting the first grandchild in the fall. DH will help them wade through some of the legal/paperwork that will come next and by a stroke of luck/fate/God, after years of urging by my sister, the mom & daughter already have tickets to come to North Carolina with me in July for our Annual Girls At The Beach Vacation. That will be something fun for them to look forward to anyway.
I got done with all the funeralizing just in time to make it to Zumba & yoga. Both of which felt great mentally as much as physically.

Ruth- I love that photo of you and your mom. You were both very happy in that pic. A sweet memory indeed!
Been off with exercise due to asthma problems that I finally got checked out for today. Doing some Advair which helps when these rare flairs come up so I hope to be back at it tomorrow.

welcome Sweet Thing. Heidi what a beautiful place to ride your bike. Wonderland can't believe you had the energy to walk after all that mowing.
Did Sh'bam class this morning

Ruth - The loss of your family friend was obviously quite a blow. I am sorry for your loss and grief. Take care.
I am enjoying the photos--gorgeous one, Heidi!
Body toning with theraband and light dumbbells today.

Loved the photo, Heidi! Such rides are wonderful spiritually as well as the obvious physical benefits.
Relatively little exercise yesterday as at the Opera last night. Wonderful production of Ariadne Auf Naxos.
Think I will be spending part of tomorrow at the tire shop as one of my tires needs replacing, and I had new tires on the list for later this year. But I don't want to be driving to Yakima on iffy tires. Just realized that I can cycle from tire place to office and back, so will do the deed tomorrow. Ironically, this will be on Bike to Work Day.
Have a super fun weekend planned. Vineyard camping and the Yakima Canyon Ride. AND also the Cowiche Crawl for Saturday. This 5k or 10k event starts and ends at the Vineyard, so no driving around trying to locate the place. It's followed by great wine and French food from a local restaurant. So a fun party post (virtuous?) run/walk through Cowiche Canyon.
Have a busy day as slept in a bit. Had better do a run later so ready for the Crawl. Wish me luck with tires. But something you don't want to be wishing you had paid more attention to...... - Claire

Been away at classes this week. I hate to sit all day! Was able to take a nice walk at lunch time and then after class did 1/2 hour of pilates in the hotel room. Will be so glad to get home tomorrow evening and start rowing classes on the river tomorrow. The two weeks post-port removal restrictions will be done! So back to rowing at 6:45am Saturday.

I am officially pooped out!
I went to my Cardio Sculpt class this morning, ran errands, went to a birthday party for one of my old ladies at the nursing home, started cleaning the house, went to Zumba, came home & cleaned some more....everything is done but the dusting, which is going to have to wait for another day. Hopefully all that movement wear off the two VERY large pieces of cake I ate at the party!!!0
