Just now see your post above, Patty. I also agree with Rose. The parents need to know. That is so cruel.

Oh Rose. Sigh

Soory rosie, sucks .....hope sun turns out great.
Patty lol I missed it likely because the word chocolate wasn't in it.... Agree with what Rosie said., not sure about school. Reservations on that one.
Spookier Stevens Johnson is not all the same.
Frenchfrye check in when you can.

The schools should have procedures and policy in place to deal with cyber bullying. If this brat has done it once, he could do it again. Or maybe already has. He needs a reality slap.

Had a nice biz lunch with someone I worked for who is still sort of involved in working in what I do, and then decided to go see Jurassic World in 3D after that! What a movie, and with the glasses, even mo betta! Love me some dinosaurs.....
I wish I could go to the deli with the FL gang too! They are going to have some kinda fun!

WoW! Patty I am so sorry this has happened. I agree with the others in that you really should contact the parents. They should be horrified to find out what happened. If they are willing to do something about it, ask them if maybe they can use this as a teaching opportunity.
If the parents end up seeming like arses then definitely go to the school. I hate for this to be happening to you. I know it sucks even when healthy, to find out one of your children are being bullied. I can only imagine how you feel right now.
Sas and everyone- I took 2 benadryl and slept for about an hour. I am drinking lots of water . Hubby picked me up Zyrtec and I just took that about an hour ago. The swelling is going down and i am less itchy.
I head up to the hospital tomorrow to preregister for my labs (will have them drawn Sunday). If my hands are still bad in the am I will call the doc. If they are status quo I will wait since I see him on Monday. Of course any worsening of sx I will call right away. I have no rash anywhere else and thank goodness for that.

Jazzy is living life. Good for you. You must have good ears for music. So talented- you play 5 instruments? Wow! I can play one only....my lips (whistling). Saw the video of your instructor... .very nice and so relaxing. I find it kind of amusing watching him playing. It looks like he is stir-frying hehe. I can't wait to see your "recital" from last night.
Frey, glad to hear your hands are better. Have you tried a corticosteroid cream or ointment? I developed a nasty rash from the JP drain plastic tubing....blisters with red mark where the tubes touch. It was so itchy, it kept me up at night. The only relief was applying triamcinolone ointment and creating a barrier between the tube and my skin with a gauze. I still have the scar.
Rose, I hope you get good rest before your DD2 comes home. I hope you are not getting peritonitis. The paracentesis should work for at least 3 days right? diuretics will not work in your case..peritoneal vs hepatic ascites?

Loverly.. I would have thought I would have at least 3 days of relief.. I don't know. I asked about spironolactone and lasix.. onc said no. Actually I have some lasix and have been taking it. I have been having gut pain diffuse for several weeks now, so this has nothing to do with the tap yesterday. Initially I thought I had gastritis or a blockage or chronic constipation.. no none of that. Mets to omentum which explains the tenderness and pain. So I just wait another week... before any new intervention or news feeling crappy. Nothing is ever done quickly in cancerland.
Although I asked for the tap and got that in 3 days.. pretty quick. If they had waited much longer I would have had to go to the ER. I was pretty disgusted to get into ultrasound and find my oncologist had ordered nothing on the fluid removed. He ordered the Paracentesis but No labs, no cytology/ pathology orders on the fluid removed for for even a difinitive dignosis of malignant ascites, any cancer cells in this huge belly full of fluid? You are just going to throw it away in the biohazard waste can utterly un-investigated? REALLY??? I was majorly bent out out of shape. I told the tech to get on the phone and get some orders. I never get what other patients get. I am curious what's in it. The fluid was the color of dark beer. I mean if it's going to kill you, might as well find out what characteristics the little buggers have.
When I was first diagnosed my core biopsy came back IDC. Which I didn't have because the idiots didn't use the stain to differentiate it. I found that out after talking to another MD at another pathology lab, who explained I had ILC period. Then my Oncologist (different one fired), surgeon, radiologists, OB -no one orders the markers for the core biopsy ER,PR HER2, how aggressive it is etc..,. So I called 10 days after, while waiting for surgery and asked the lab to run them please so we know some of the characteristics of the cancer. THE PATIENT CALLS...none of her doctors could be bothered. I should never revisit the past... not happy.
On that note Happy July 4th and be well. Hugs!

WTH?!?!?! Why are they in the career they are in??? What if it was their parent, sibling, spouse ,or God forbid their child, would they act the same? Are they forgetting that they are dealing with a HUMAN BEING ?? Goodness grief!!! Terrible, just terrible and very unfair that you have to endure all this. They should work in a different industry. How could they sleep at night?? I need to go chill in the shower. Hugs. I am sorry I am upsetting you. Ok going to the forest

Rose,
It all sucks.....I am so sorry you have gotten the shaft on decent medical professionals. Wish things were different.
Big cyber hugs, my friend.....

Patty- that is one of the worst things I have ever read about cyber bullying. I think the parents do need to know. It is hard enough what you and your family are going through, it needs to stop. I would call the police too if there are any laws against cyberbullying in your state Sometimes a well placed visit from the cops is a nice reminder to cut the crap.

Rose- I am sorry the fluid is coming back. I hope you are able to feel well enough to enjoy your company this weekend. Sweet corn sounds yummy.

Yes, you gals are all right... Peppermint, I would talk to the principal, and find out the kids parents number! They just can't do this... period. We can understand how it makes the kids feel, when someone thinks they have the upper-hand, and can "control" other people. And it just plain hurts.
I remember one time when I was about 10, a little neighbor told me "Why are you so ugly?" And I remember going home and crying... don't know if I ever told my parents... but it hurt me to the core... But I showed HER, that little Witch! Ha! Maybe that's why I learned to do everything I could to feel "pretty"....
And ROSIE'S biopsy turned out just FINE! But she has to go in every 6 months, to watch this "what-ever."..... She called, and was sooooo happy!
Our Refrigerator came! WHAT A JOB! Just trying to put stuff back, into a smaller one....! So that means the Chickens will have lots of fruit, and veggies that were frozen for the next couple days. Chicken people are gone, so we are feeding the Cat and Chickens. But today it is still working! I think I will order the 3 year service plan? It's only $129... and might be worth it.
Our old one went out in those 3 years! If a new one goes out, you have to take it YOURSELF to be serviced! I could put it on a two-wheeler and take it across town for service... ! Unbelievable.
I just hated what July 4th meant to all of our pets! I went out in the alley one time...(Yes, I know you can believe this) and told those damn kids that "You guys your fire-works are scaring my dog 1/2 to death!" And they said I'm sorry, and they quit! This was on about July 8th! You should call the Police! There ARE laws that they can't shoot off those really loud ones!
Also Janie came over, and together we worked out in the front of our house, to pull the weeds, trim the crazy vines along our fence, and just clean it up out there! WHAT A JOB!!! But it was fun working with her.... Then DH came out and helped us throw it all on the banks of the ditch... The ditch mulches down everything, I think because of all the shade from the trees, and the winters here. I'll finish it today.... we were lucky with the weather yesterday... Not so hot, and THEN all the shade.
Okay, I'm done... going to get my coffee now...
SPOOKERS! You are a BAD girl! Hah! "Nurse Ratchet"..... HhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaahHah! Sass, you KNOW she is just kidding!
(no, she really meant it.......) I can tell.

Chevy- glad to hear that your friend's biospy was negative. Hopefully there will be nothing there for the longer term either. Whew!
0 -
I know! Thanks.....!
So DH made the back storm door open wider for the fridge.... BUT instead of getting the pin out of the bottom door thing, to let it open, he un-screwed it from the door jam, then it twisted and bent!.... Not to mention the screws were stripped....
So he was trying to put it back on, with one screw left in, only he had that piece vertical instead of parallel.... So we were having a HELL of a time, trying to make it work.... I realized it before any more screws stripped from that damn drill-driver, and we figured out how to get the pin out...... oh never mind.... We worked TOGETHER to get it fixed the right way! That is the BEST part!!!! We were up and down a thousand times, trying to get that thing to go in right, and screw in the screws without that jet engine powered drill that would strip a screw the size of a HOUSE!
We did it together..... I am so happy! We CAN work together! Hah!

Good morning lovely and beautiful ladies!

Hooray for the favorable result for your Rosie, Ms. Chevy!
Yes, get the warranty! Maybe a 5-year one if not much pricedifferent from the 3-year. They don't make things the way they used to. I sound like I have lived forever haha. 46+ years.
Going for a walk. It is lovely outside

Chevy- I had a water filter housing bust on my fridge last summer (thank god I was home or it could have flooded the house), and my repair person (a woman) told me the newer fridges because of all their energy efficient features don't last as long. She said you used to be able to get 15-20 years out of a fridge (mine 11 years plus and has a few more good years so she says), but she said the newer ones only last like 7 years. I was shocked, they are WICKED expensive to be so disposable. I always get some sort of warranty on my appliances just in case they are defective beyond the 1 year standard.

Same goes for washers. Ours about 3 years old. Sometimes it won't do the final spin properly. Had repair guy come. He said to unplug it, wait a minute, re plug. Then slam the lid 6 times!!!!!! It works, but I know it's going to crap out soon.

And the same for cars!!!! My car has been attacked by computer eating bugs. We'd I started it, the passenger air bag display said it was ON and OFF nothing on the seat. Should be off then. Yesterday, the date, time, temp display wasn't on. Then all hell broke loose when I got out of grocery.
Turned the key, it started, and: the traction control light came on, the 4 ways started, the a/c recirculator went off, the windshield wipers came on. Me thinks the computer has gone kaput. It has an apptwith the dealer Mon morning.

Good morning ladies. Thanks for all the suggestions re ds1 text. I am talked to ds1 more about it. He really really doesn't want me to call the boys parents. I don't want to break his trust and I want him to continue to feel comfortable to come to me about anything. I don't want him not telling me next time for fear of what I might do. Dh at first was going to the parents but now he had changed his mind. Telling me to cut the apron strings. I really don't think the school would be allowed to give me the parents number. Ds1 said he has repeatly tried to call the boy but he won't answer. I could call from my phone where he doesn't know the number. Maybe a police visit would scare him good but again dont even know the parents name. Hopefully the school can st least tell me that. I went back thru emails from during school. Was hoping to get moms name or email. Apparently she must not have ever volunteered help at school because I know all the names on the email list. Hmmm. Oh well will have to wait til monday to call school. OK enough about that. We are hanging home and having friends over tomorrow. Gonna swim, grill and maybe have a couple beers and ofcourse DSS have enough fire works to entertain us all night. Its supposed to brain on and off all weekend. Hoping the lightening stays away and we will be fine.
Loverly. - love the pics. So relaxing and peaceful. Thanks.
SAS. - hugs
Blondie - do you remember that song " the final countdown "? So is it 5 days now?
Jazzy - ouch 3dmovies always give me a headache. Glad you enjoyed it. I sgree , wish I was going to Fl to meet them also. If I won the lottery one thing I would do is plan and pay for us all to get together. Maybe somewhere tropical with s little umbrella drink. Doesn't that sound awesome?
Spookie - lol. Slam the lid 6 times. Too funny. Not5 not 7, but 6 times . how did they ever figure that it ?
Rosie - the Dr Sounds like a complete idiot. Was hoping for much longer relief for you.
Chevy ,- yea, glad to hear Rosie's biopsy results. I had read in consumer reports that the extended service plan is never a good idea. Not sure if that is true .
What's everybody doing for the holiday?
Hugs all around esp those I missed
Hootie hoo

I always heard the extended warranties weren't good either. But I bought it for my first Saturn. Had a bunch of trouble with it, warrenty took care of ALL of it. Current car has it too, but has 14k on it.
0 -
Spookie- I bought an extended warranty on my Subaru and already had one thing that needed replacement. Subaru's have a relatively low mileage warranty (35K), where as most cars have at least 50. So I spent the money right around the time the car was hitting 3 years (before 35K). I know many warranties are sold as money makers, many times they don't cover stuff.
I hope your washer last a bit longer. Mine also had a motor burn out last summer right after the fridge problem, and expect that will need to be replaced in the not to distance future. I found a great appliance repair person in the process of all that too (woman owned, gotta love a gal that can wrangle appliances!)
Patty- there are women on these threads whom do see one another regularly, and once a year in a group thing. There is an exercise group here that just met up out in Cali. I think the FL friends here have organized things too.
Also, I understand your need to just detach from that family. Sometimes the better thing to do is to just let go of those people and create space. You can probably have the cell phone company block anything from that number to make sure your son is not subjected to that meanness again. People are very unpredictable, from the kids to the parents. I have had people get "in my face" with their stuff and had to create strict boundaries in the past. If I feel any personal safety issues, I will call the police.
I have been harassed by up to 3 men in the past (a co-worker, an old boyfriend, and a weird guy from junior high) and told each of them "cut the $*&%#@ or I am calling the police." Two went away, the other I did have to call the cops on and then told him unless he wanted a visit from his local police, to stop contacting me. No one wants a visit from the cops or worse, a restraining order.
I hope this problem goes away for you and you can enjoy time with family this holiday weekend.

Oh Patty, your poor boy. Wish we can go there and gibbs slap some sense into that little brute. Something must be going on in his home. Jazzy has a good point about blocking the calls. You can actually do it on the iPhone( if he has an iPhone, not sure about other smart phone) without contacting the carrier. Go to contacts and scroll to the bottom and activate "block this caller". I am assuming the bully called DS1 on his(DS1's) mobile phone. I don't think the school can do much to intervene since it didn't happen during school time.
Jazzy, 3 stalkers??? How annoying and scary.
We have not regretted buying warranties for our cars or major appliances. They don't make things like before.

potential stalker to avoid

Ms. Spookie and Ms.Chevy, have you been driving like they did in the commercial???

0 -
Loveroflife- yes, three stalkers. Once I dealt with the first, I knew exactly how to deal with the rest. Harassment and scaring a person is not a way to make anyone want to spend time with you.

Loverly! Little honey, you are only "46"?????? I have shoes older than that.... My DAUGHTERS are older than that.... I just odered the 3 year warranty online through Sears! I know they will suggest I renew it.... And if I wasn't a thousand years old, I probably would.... Ha!
