Patty, just saw your post up top. Maybe talking and showing your son the law. So, he understands they're is a recource.

Arkansa cyberbulling discussion of Arkansas law.

    http://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/cyberbullying-laws-arkansas.htm

    The actual statute

    http://law.justia.com/codes/arkansas/2012/title-5/subtitle-6/chapter-71/subchapter-2/section-5-71-217

I had to mull over what I would suggest. If you decide to act--Follow the law. This will protect you I think from any flashback. People react differently when you say the" Law says blah blah and this should be handled this way b/c the law says blah, blah". You and son are protected by a law passed by the elected representatives of Arkansas.

And how come is it everyone gets a stalker except ME? And no that was NOT me Loverly! BAD girl! Ha!

Wait, Janie had a stalker once.... could NOT get rid of him, and it was my Cousin's SON!!! All these scary, threatening calls, and waiting for her after work....! She answered him once, and told him she would call the Police if he didn't leave her alone.... We just looked his picture up on FB! He STILL looks scary!

Took the 1942 High School year-book to Theresa.... She was just THRILLED! The home told her they would give her this "reader on a stand".... On Sunday.... Someone left it, and told them to give it to a good home.... So that will help her go through her book! This other gal came in her room.... Found out, her Daughter ran around with Janie! But her Dementia makes it kind of hard to talk to her.... Theresa just calmly tells her "No Betty, we can't go down to eat yet.... and go put some shoes on!" Over and over.... She said "No, I don't want to!"

But then an aid came to get her because her Daughter was coming to take her to Red Lobster for dinner! And she HAD to go put shoes on! Ha! I think you would have to have the patience of Job to always be around a Dementia patient..... who was Job anyway? I mean you would have to love them to pieces, like Glen Campbell's wife.....

Oh never-mind.... I just looked it up.... This JOB had NO patience, anyway!

I had two stalkers here. I had to send the Florida stalking law to the Mods to get it taken care of. It worked.

I LOVE extended warranties on cars, saved my butt on many occassions! We had the entire transmission go out on our minivan and it was totally covered. sweet. We buy the warranty always. My DH decided to lease his car as we got a super deal through Honda. He's happy. The only thing I don't like about his civic is it's hard to get in and out of it, it's so low. Hurts my hips. Of course with all my mets.. everything hurts my hips.

Jazzy when I was a thin cute 18 year old, I had a boyfriend who used to meet me at work. I was charmed, at first. I was very good friends with his sister. So as things progressed, he kept showing up where ever I was. It was a little unnerving. Then one day I was running late to work and drove into my space, stopped and had my ear rings in my lap. I took the ear rings and went to look in the rear view mirror to put them on. I could see Paul's face! It was like being stalked in a scary movie.(He said he saw me and just pulled in behind my car to say hi!) I flew out out of my car and yelled "stop follow me everywhere. It's creepy!" I told him not to be there when I got out of work or I would run him over! Sure enough he was there when I got out of work! He tried to stand in front of my car so I couldn't leave. I told him to move or he'd be flattened! He followed me home that night, because I could see his car from my bedroom window. That did it for me.. being followed, showing up where ever you were, watched - was no way to show affection. Scared me to pieces! Our relationship was kaput after that. I refused to talk to him.

I have told my girls highly possessive people and ones that have to know where you are every minute of the day are cracker cases and stay clear. We had a nurse whose DH would call the floor and demand to put his wife on the line! He would show up just to make sure she was where she said she was. This nurse and I were pregnant at the same time, each of us had daughters. I got to know her and she was so sweet and crazy about her kids. The issue was she was social and her possessive hispanic husband was not. He shot her in the back and then killed himself. No one who worked with her was surprised. Pitiful to leave her 2 kids behind. Pretty tough to get away from someone like that because he clearly considered his wife his possession! scary.

Patty you are too generous 40$ worth of fire works each! My kids would be in hog heaven. With the drought being so severe and the fire hazzard so high, I am surprised that there are sales of fireworks here. Big risk. The entire place could go whooosh like a tiki torch! Have fun. I loved sparklers as a kid.

Rosie - SMDH at your docs past and present. It's not exactly like you live in the backwoods of medical care or ?is it? Wishing you'd gotten more relief from the tap. Did you get some path done on the fluid finally?

Good grief Patty. What a load of crapola about DS. Thank goodness he's got the smarts to not believe everything. Next kid might not be so lucky. I don't think DD would have let me call parents either unless I had known them really well which for sure you don't. And those are not usually the ones to do s**t like this, usually a fringe acquaintance. I would bet counselors are still around school some but not sure what they can do since it didn't happen at school. Just playing devil's advocate here. But give it a try. Kid not answering DS because he knows he's done something stupid. Even with my ancient bar phone I can send selected calls to voicemail without ever receiving them. I know for sure I did it with the Samsung smartphone I had for work. Never even knew they called.

Loverly - I would love to go to the stream place picture, but remember to bring the mosquito spray lol.

Chevster - Yay for your Rosie's biopsy.

Well next thing to go in our house was DH's old truck. Just as I was leaving yesterday to deliver meal to church family he called. Truck wouldn't restart at beer stop. So I deliver meal and go get him. Sounds like it wants to start but not quite. So we leave it a couple of hours and try again. Nope. He calls AT&T where we keep roadside assistance. Yup they can send tow truck in 2 hours, already dark. Call again this am and truck towed to house. Cost zero. We've never used the service so they have made $ on us thru the years. He was ready to donate it last night but today thinks will try replacing the fuel filter. At least it's now in our yard.

Spookie - I sure hope the computer has not frazzled itself. Oh my. You said it had 14,000 miles on it. Maybe talk dealer into free tow. Is it still under original warranty or are you now in the extended part due to age of car? Rental car!!

Your cartoons Loverly remind me of something on the news. Smash/grab ATM robbery yesterday, took an ATM that was out of cash haha.

The only stalker I had was Ronald G. when I was in 8th grade. Ran up behind me and kissed me on the check walking home from school bus. I learned to walk down the irrigation culvert road and climb over our back concrete block fence. Wonder I never got snake bit, this was in El Paso lol.

No particular plans for the 4th. But I am going shopping tomorrow. Neighbors I hope have their semi-pro - just kidding but it's pretty good - fireworks this year. I live down between 2 ridges, gets really spooky/ghostly with smoke from fireworks. One year we had a big rain late afternoon and that made for spectacular smog lol.. No fire dangers this year. And yes the county commissioners have in the past banned fireworks sales. The commercial ones were allowed to continue.Texas just lengthened the days and expanded the holidays for fireworks sales. Did just used to be New Years and July 4th. DD plans to come next weekend, her birthday on Saturday the 11th.

Never had a stalker... that I know of. Come to think of it, I think I might have scared them all away hehe. Works for me and no complaints.

Hahahaha Ms Chevy, wrong Job??Job was a righteous and humble man who lost all of his children and their families. He became a pauper overnight- lost all of his wealth. On top of that, he was struck with leprosy or some sort of skin disorder. Despite of the tragedy and the calamities in his life, he refused to curse God. Well, you are right...he was not patienttoward the end. Hah

Luvgoats- for some karmic reason my treatment is the same no matter where I go. I mean I tried to help myself by getting more info from Mayo's in Florida. As soon as my chart gets there I am dead. Mayo oncologist wouldn't listen, wouldn't scan or check what I needed without proding and begging. He did a cursory over view, gave his recommendation and couldn't wait for the plane door to slide closed! He wouldn't allow a trial of the new med Ibrance and he had patients on it. He wouldn't take me as a patient unless I lived within 60 miles of their clinic. He did ask why no one used tumor markers since they correlated with my scans. My Onc here refuses to order them - Said he gets all the info he needs from CBC, CMP and bone scans. So much for that theory- total failure! My tumor markers were 250 something in January. I asked they be drawn a week ago and they were over 600. That 30$ tumor marker test could have headed all this off had he not been so stubborn he refused to use it. My lab work is ok and the cancer has progressed wildly into my peritoneum and omentum. I refused the bone scan and agreed with the CT scans he wanted. He only wants to look at my bones. Current onc has his agenda and nothing I say will change that. Every oncologist I have had here is exactly the same. So had he done the tumor markers instead of flat refusing, he would have known that his treatment wasn't working. I have to endure weeks of misery and fill up like a water balloon before he will consider any change in course. Or admit that there is any need to change course or investigate!

Yes I did get full work up on the fluid. Thank goodness I asked about it or they would have thrown it out! The only word on the order sheet was paracentesis. I saw it. At this point there isn't much that will fix this. I mean have you ever seen ascites fluid that looked like beer? It was a rather alarming color, billirubin can make it turn brown. We will see what the report says. I had a tiny lunch, honey dew cubes, potato salad and slice of ham and cheese. Now I am uncomfortably full and queasy. Eating just makes me feel awful. This too will pass.

Anyway.. my burden to put up with. I hope they write a book about my care. It should be titled What not to do with a breast cancer patient.

what the school can do during summer is advise you how to proceed. If they don't have policy, use what Sas posted. It will also alert them this brat has done this, they can be aware of him. Impress your son this is WRONG, brat may/will do again, and get worse.

Yes, car is a 2014, still in the 36/36 warrenty. Behaved itself this afternoon.

The pixis(drug dispenser) rep told me a story of two burglars who went into a busy ER, dressed as repair men. They told the staff the pixis had to be taken out for repair. They rolled it right out of ER before anyone questioned it. It was found a few blocks away. The burglars couldn't break into it. ............This was while I was holding him hostage in the pixis room. Found him at the pixis without ID. Wouldn't let him leave until security got there to take him to the guy who should have issued him an ID. Boss didn't even say good job.

Rosie, toying with a topic thread "Errors, Omissions, and Negligence: Write your story." You could write your own story. Others too. It would be there for ever and damning those that were negligent. It wouldn't be slander or libel, if it's simple fact based information.

I worked weekends in the pharmacy in nursing school for about 6 months (1981-1982). Deep in the bowels of the hospital and unmarked. Of course this was long b4 Pyxis machines. No idea when they came into being (sometime between 1986 and 2009 is all I know lol).

Good for you Sassy for holding un-Id'd guy hostage. I worked on a small 16 bed unit when I went back in 2010 to short stint in hospital nursing. Believe you me I looked at everyone I passed.

You're right Sassy. It would be an interesting thread. Could be nasty too. Would for sure ask for No Personal ID of Doc. I would still worry about libel esp. if someone gets really riled up. I don't particularly like my MO but I think as far as standard of care he has been textbook. And he actually does tumor markers for whatever good they might do me. I've toyed I think I've said with switching to a partner, a very large group of oncologists, statewide practice. At this point in my treatment not sure it's worth the hassle. I think the 2 of them share the same general office space. The possible new one used to be out of different office.

Rosie - How many MO's have you been to locally? Sorry they all sound like they have their head buried up their you-know-whats. I've read that tumor markers are unreliable as a single # but that when they go up something is wrong somewhere and time to investigate. Can we have a group mugging of your MO? I know long weekend, when do you get results. Hope you get lots of good family time. Time for those feel good drugs.

    Ok lovemygoats

2007- corvallis- fired this onc for lying in her chart, and not ordering films, or giving me correct information. She reduced the size of the mass I watched her measure 4x5 (same as OB & surgeon) to 3x4 after the mass came back over 5cm post lumpectomy and not the 1.9cm on films. I asked about chemo first and she said surgery was fine first.. what a ditz. one visit done.

2007Portand -onc seemed ok at first then as things went on he became distracted and flaky. He seemed hardly to remember things. He didn't answer questions. I finally asked to transfer to another doctor in that practice who didn't want to take me since they shared an office. I don't think he agreed with the treatment I was given and it would have been awkward. So I left.

2007- 08Sarasota- went to a Moffat afficiated doctor near my Mom who said every 6 month visits were fine. When I showed up for my 6 moths he refused any labs or tests just saying I looked good. He was concerned because I quit Arimidex (SE) and he put me on aromasin. I questioned not doing any labs as decent surveillance and he said there was no standards. I got a referal to a breast surgeon back where I used to work at Sutter inCA. When I was there having the r mastectomy he sent a certified letter that I had to find an oncologist closer he quit.

2010- Seattle- I figured was close enough so I tried a female oncologist. She did and exam and then spent 1/2 hour explaining that there were no follow up standards of care and she would not order labs because I looked good. I guess once the Moffat doctor did no labs this started the refusal of any labs or tests.

2012 Feb Eugene- tried another doctor, who was rude and sarcastic. No labs or tests. Maybe next month, next visit. There was no next time.

2012 March - My gastroenterologist ordered a virtual colonoscopy which picked up spinal mets. She ordered a PET scan that showed wide spread mets and refered me to a Portland Oncologist. He seemed pretty thorough at first ordering biopsy, faslodex, but he ignored my sleep med requests and he was criminally stingy with pain meds..1 and 1/2 pills a day for mutliple broken ribs and spinal mets. Geez what generosity! Then he decided to leave medicine for a administrative practice. I left. I was there March 2012 -2013.

2013 March tried a female Portland oncologist who was so confrontational and aggressive she basically said "I do no tumor markers, no schedule scans or tests only when symptoms warrant it, so don't ask." Her manner was dreadful. I decided if anything progressed it would be up to me to prove it. I can't prove what I had for lunch. I went once and declined.

2014 To sick to go anywhere but local. I wanted to give up and planned to, but my kids were pitiful. So DH said try local oncology group. I had had bad experiences with radiology and pathology locally and didn't want anything to do with those areas, but I had no beef with oncology group. First meeting and he says hi. We talk and he tells me I will do labs next week when we meet again. He knew my PCP had given me several unit of blood for severe anemia and yet he wanted to wait a week. My resting HR was 120. I thought here we go again.. one for the brotherhood no labs! I asked him to do at least a CBC. He did. My hemoglobin was 5. If they waited a week that would have been the end of the story.

Rose- it sounds like the medical system has really failed you. Can you get a consult in a bigger city? I know you are not well enough to travel, but know docs in other larger cities can review charts for second opinions. Telehealth is becoming a much bigger thing in the hospitals these days as medical facilities work with patients across state lines. Might be worth asking your health insurance if you can get something at MD Anderson or one of the other bigger facilities. You are advanced and more complex case, and should be able to get that approved? I am sorry things have been so hard for you. Hugs sister.

I come from a family of control freaks and have managed to attract them (and sometimes allow them) a bit too much in my life. Not everyone has good boundaries and agree something is off with people who need to harass, cyber stalk, or otherwise badger someone. I am glad you dumped that early boyfriend. One of my stalkers was an old boyfriend I had broken up with like 15 years before. How many times do you need to be rejected dude?

Chevy- I am sending my next stalker to you! LOL!

Yay Foots. Thank you for your prayers by the way. I love this country and make quite a big deal about my kids and their citizenship day- big celebrations. We are majorly blessed. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Ok no more talk of my medical cloud that follows me around. I got on this Africa story kick after picking up a book by Tayna Shaffer called Somebody's Heart is Burning. It's woman wanderer in Africa adventure book.. loved it. Then another one - No 1 Ladies Detective Agency series by McCall Smith. I am now on book 9.. more to go. The stories are fun and enjoyable and the characters rich and real, but it's light. You can finish one in a day or two. My DD3 and I watched a documentary on Botswana tonight from the author and she was fascinated by the orphans and this village they built for them. Aides is a problem. Since she spent time in an orphanage, it's a topic near to her heart. What a gorgeous country and lovely people, so much wildlife and no revolution and anarchy. Sweet. Healthwise it's the only traveling i can do, so I'll take it. I know lots of folks like a little light summer reading.

If you are into dogs, Merrill Markoe wrote a book called Walking in Circles Before Lying Down. Hilarious.. but only a die hard dog lover would understand. Poor woman and failed relationships pretty comical. So I hope you are all headed to the beach, lakes and rivers staying cool. I think after 7 shark attacks I would stay out of NC waters. Have a great 4th.

Hi Foots, thank you for your love. Hope the heat is not too bad for you and Faith. Yes Rose, we are truly blessed to be living in this country. Coming from a war torn communist country, where an authoritarian government dictates its citizens, I really appreciate America and the freedom we have here. I remember my dad used to listen to the BBC news on the radio in low volume for fear that the neighbors or the VC soldiers who guarded our street would hear. You couldn't own anything with western influence, especially from capitalist western countries...no music, magazines, and definitely no books. In school, we were taught that Americans are evil. My sister and I knew better because my dad fought along side American soldiers against the VC. We lived under communist government for 3 years before we escaped. Our family was lucky because dad was spared concentration/reeducation camp. Somehow, he went under the radar from the eyes of the new government. Many teachers, professors, doctors and other professionals were sent to camp and most died while they were there and I heard that those who were released later on were never the same. Strangely, I am glad I experienced the hardship and the lack of freedom in the 3 years because it has helped me to value and appreciate my adopted country. Happy Independence Day!!

Ah, you guys are so SWEET to each other! And reading all of your stories, is kind of like reading chapters in a favorite book! You all have some experience, that the rest of us enjoy reading about.

Some stories are like just heart-breaking, because of all you have to go through, just trying to live a "normal" life.... And how we put our trust in our care-takers to help us get better, trusting their advice! I should remember also, that they ARE only human.... But if they can't take care of us, get off the damn train!

A few just don't LISTEN.... but hopefully like you gals, you keep searching for someone who will understand, research your problems, order new tests, and figure out how to help you... before YOU do! I know we've all been down that road....

SOMEtimes, we can figure it out ourselves, by just knowing our own bodies, and re-searching similar problems, and THEN taking it to the Doctors and telling them "Let's try this!" Worked for me a FEW times!

Anyway.... I love you guys........... xoxo

    Train of Life

At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents, and we believed that they would always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents would step down from the train, leaving us on life's journey alone.

As time goes by, some significant people will board the train: siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we won't realize that they vacated their seats! This train ride has been a mixture of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.

A successful journey consists of having a good relationship with all passengers, requiring that we give the best of ourselves. The mystery that prevails is that we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. Thus, we must try to travel along the track of life in the best possible way -- loving, forgiving, giving, and sharing.

When the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty -- we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who continue to travel on the train of life.

Let's remember to thank our Creator for giving us life to participate in this journey.

I close by thanking you for being one of the passengers on my train!

I love this poem from an anonymous author. Just want to share it with you lovely ladies. You are on the same train ride with me now. My chance of meeting you here on this earth in person is close to zero (well besides Ms Smaarty ;) ). If I don't see you here, I will see you in heaven. A phrase I borrow from a sweet stranger my DH and I met in Solvang, California years ago in a small garden near where we stayed. He was in his 80s!! We chatted and found out he had just lost his beloved wife a few months prior. He told us he comes to the garden everyday to sing hymnals and meditate. He had the most beautiful and powerful voice. We told him we were blessed by his singing and presence and surprised to hear that he was the one who was blessed and comforted by our presence. We didn't /don't know his name :( Beautifulperson who took a very short train ride with us.

LOVERLY, that was beautiful. Thank you. Also, thanks for your life story. I was on a YouTube link this morning when the computer went haywire. The link was to a reporter asking folks on the beach in California, what they were celebrating today. The majority being interviewed, couldn' identify what the fourth of July history was related to in the USA. These weren't' just kids. Bummer.

Jazzy thanks too. Computer went haywire today. I have " answers by me" tech support. I've been working the problem since 9 am. It will be another hour. The other day the computer got confused when I was working from so many web pages back and forth. Fast and furious. Twice I had to reboot. Not stellar activity since. Any thoughts? ....... And why does my kindle not seem to have the same problem? I know I can't do anything near the activity level that I can on the laptop?
