Queen- I had a minor hit and run with my car last weekend. I was not in the car so no injury to me, just a broken headlight and slight bend to the bumper around the light. Cars can be fixed, just a hassle.

You're gonna laugh. My DD is in Ft Collins for the week. Was a bit chilly there this morning!!! 45!!!!! She had to buy jackets for them. The lady at the boys daycare laughed. Hey, that's our winter temps, it's about 92 here now. Brrrrr

Reporting in Owlies, Blondie was a half hour early. I only had one scenic diversion that a very nice gentleman said " I'll just take you there, follow me". TIA is a typical airport. Lots of construction and colored signs. Blondie and boys were at the door. Her avatar pic doesn't do her justice at all.
Off to TooJay's nice lunch. First pic, I told Spookie it could be used for extortion. I looked fat. Blondie "who said that?" Me. DS was already off to explore. We visited while waiting for DsD to arrive. Then went in to do some battery charging and have a cold drink. Cheesecake factory was very nice about helping us with a plug. Blondie's DS wasn't impressed with the heat.
We got a pic at Cheesecake Factory. Spookie will probably be posting soon. I love these visits.

Great meeting you. Loved DsD's face when she saw DGS. You pulled off a great surprise.Spookie Shats did fine. She pulled my nightgown down on the floor. Bandage still in place. Pills didn't arrive, need to stay till tomorrow.

Jazzy -- feeling pretty good today and even have a little bit of energy. But I just started getting a stress headache; I seem to be getting them a day or two out from my treatment days.
Roses, oh do I know about the Alpha...my last GSD I adopted when he was 1 1/2--he'd been the pet of two K9 handlers who raised him just like their working dogs and he weighed 105 pounds so he had a few ideas about who was the toughest nut in the jar. We literally had wrestling matches. The problems start when the fur mama leaves the house.
Sas, Spookie and Blondie - y'all look like you had a good time! And I'm envying the a/c.
It's been a crazy couple of days at work. Guns, gang members and people with mental issues and summer's not even half over yet. I'm probably one of the few people that looks forward to colder weather in this area. And by cold, I mean a high of 62.

Hands still swollen but getting better. Doc thinks it is the taxotere and I am still hoping it was the gloves lol. He put me on steroids oh yay..had to put chains around my fridge..(j/k)
I actually had my second session of chemo yesterday and was not expecting that but doc wanted to do it per the labs. Had a bone scan today and May(?) know something about it tomorrow..if not then I go for my next doc visit and chemo on the 28th. Have Neulasta tomorrow so hope to be good by what...Sunday ya think?
Anyway- hoping my hands don't splode again. grr.

Marlana- it's so scary some of the gang things in CA well anywhere for that matter. I used to hear some of the things the Asian gangs did to their community and then all the nastiness between the rival gangs.. so scary. I bet a boring night of no weird and ugly calls is lovely. Sounds like you have had some alpha's. I could be afraid of Bob but he was also fond of affection and fiercely protective of me. He had a sweet side. He was a beautiful dog for a mix. Glad you are hanging in there.
I just love the pictures of you all meeting and now am sad I missed my chance to met you all when I was in Jacksonvillein Jan. rats. Re oncology visit today- Well it took 6 months of asking but I get a trial of Ibrance. Might be too late but WTH. Try it eh? Frygea my onc suggested Taxotere today and I made a face (I am sure) and said I would be willing to try Ibrance. You look good considering... and I know it's hard! I always look good no matter how I feel, counts, labs - I look great. It's a curse- to the world there is nothing wrong.

Oh Nettie, hello............come on downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Hope all is well. There's a Willie Nelson song in the back ground. How's the family. That new grand must be close to a year now? Are you still babysitting? I'm not even close to having a grand. But DS does have a GF. You still riding that mower crazy girl? Made me crazy each time you posted yard pics and that mower. I won't EVEN walk in the yard anymore---- Mini dog holes covered by grass lurk everywhere.

Freygea- your picture looks a bit sad here, but can certainly understand that. The loss of hair is hard. Big hugs to you. One day at a time right now, and we will be here with you as you continue on through the treatment process.
Rose- I am glad to hear you may be able to do a clinical trial. I think it is worth considering. I just read about it on their web site. I think they are finding more and more things to help the more advanced cases of this disease. Let us know what you decide to do. I hope your family is doing okay. Tough times for you all right now. Are you swollen again?
Spookie- when I looked at the photo of the three of you again (which I love), I saw your LE arm and hope you are doing better with the issues there. Hugs sister.
I wanted to say to all of you I think each and every day how brave all of you are, whether you are just diagnosed, going through treatment, or on the other side trying to stay well, or living with Stage IV. I am privileged to be part of such a fine community of women.

Rose -- boring and slow makes the day go by slow but I've always said a good day at work is one no one dies.
Frey--I've embraced the bald since the hot flashes started. Round 3 is Friday. I took this photo when I was having a really good hot flash so my head, cheeks and chest are completely red.

Hello to all, I try to keep up, can't remember everything though.
CHEVY, have a great time with the girls.
I am still getting settled. This rental was a mildew mess. They are replacing the dishwasher. ( full of mildew or mold ). We cannot understand how, in a very dry climate, this place has this problem. Very few houses in our area to rent. We felt really lucky to get this, now I am not sure how lucky we were. I am playing golf, but not a lot. Shoulder gets sore.
Jazzy, yummy looking quiche. I have never made one. Right now I have been making lots of pico de gallo. So good. I put avacado in mine.

Haven't been here for forever, but Rose said there was a sneak peak of 3 sistas meeting up!!! Wonderful to know Blondie made it safe & sound & see you all together! Seattle feels a little bit like Florida right now...but it'd be more fun to share the heat w/a buncha gal pals :-)

Ah geez! Sass! I read what you posted, and it wasn't THAT bad... Ha! I think I know what that gal is talking about.... but I think she is new enough that she doesn't understand how we become friends here, and just like hanging out, and sometimes even MEETING each other, and to some of us, we are all like "family."
And we don't need to talk JUST about our cancer, or like me and my failed Tamoxifen, or like SHE on her Arimidex... but by reading and asking questions, we get a good idea on what is going on.... What if they DID limit the threads to say 300 pages? Man, most of us would feel like we were cut off from our friends!
Sometimes we are lucky enough to get past the worst, or the beginnings of our cancer and it's side-effects..... THEN like ME, we can move on to more exciting things like BROKEN HIPS, and Lord only knows WHAT else is in store for us.
And thanks Gals.... Yes the girls were both over yesterday afternoon, after they went shopping for cow-boy boots, for the wedding up in Vail this week-end. Brought Pizza, and that delicious Blue Cheese dressing from that place!
Going shopping or something with Sheri today... Weather still really cool here!
Spookie, ask your Daughter if she is going skiing here.... Hah!
