That picture is beautiful....! We used to have an Austrailian/border collie mix, and those guys try and keep EVERYthing that moves, in one place.... It is just natural to them....
Okay, are those little goats or sheep? Why don't I know the difference? We used to have a floor furnace in this house when we moved in. The heat went through the ceiling vent , into the room upstairs where the girls slept. It was so cozy! But Public Service said it was not allowed anymore, and the Landlord put a furnace in.... The girls used to drop things down the furnace vent, into the dining-room.... and giggle every time they did it!
Never had a dish-washer either.... Finally got a clothes dryer in about 1970.... I had clotheslines, which seemed fine to me.... It's like when you grow up with-out those things, you don't miss them.... you just make things work.

It looked like this, only we had carpeting at that time....

The "real" furnace went into the spot that they removed this floor furnace....

Had one of those too. Great in the bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom, with a cast iron ball foot tub, not so much.

Oh EEEEEEeeeeeeeeks! Please don't EVER let me me run around like that! There is such a thing as aging "gracefully".... I thought......... Hah! I could maybe see me on some big Harley, riding down the highway to a fun bar, then dancing and drinking and having a blast......... WITH my clothes on.

We had a floor furnace like that too. In the morning you could stand on it and let the warm air go under your nightgown.

Chevy - how funny you should mention the clothes line. I love my clothes line. I would really miss it if it were gone. I actually enjoy pegging out the clothes....always have.

Feline! "Pegging out the clothes?" That's a good analogy! I remember tripping over the basket of clothes when I was 8 months pregnant.... didn't hurt anything, but scared me to death!
And they used to freeze stiff as a board in the winter? I only have ONE line now, but I use it all the time... fluff them up in the dryer first, and then hang up to dry... I LOVE all of our permanent press clothes!
This is me on wash-day!

And if you believe this you will believe anything...
I also have two standing fold-up clothes dryers, to just air-dry clothes in the house. Now THIS looks like a JOB!
