Chevy, love your analogy for the Ashley Madison hack. Now the "clients" want to sue. Really! Don't the idiots know, IMHO, that any program can eventually be hacked.

Now to catch up on the three pages I'm behind.

Spookie no moving to Ireland. Not a big fan of their healthcare. May change my mind when Medicare starts:) Besides I think DH would have to go.

Just miss the beach (waves and ice cream) and my innocence. I had six weeks of no tests, no drs, no scanxiety. Now back to the rat race.

Sma arty. Have you had a 99p ice cream yet????

finally caught up! No wifi for 2 days. Having withdrawal symptoms. Sorry sassy to hear about DB. Too bad he didn't listen to you.

We headed northwest to Galway yesterday. Took about 5 hours. We re WAY out in the boonies this time. We were suppose to be IN Galway. Ask why out here, he said to have the true "Irish" experience. It 55, windy and raining. So we're staying in until we're hungry.

    image

We have 2 weeks left, go home 9/6. Still have donegal and Kilkenny to do. Don't like it much here, was willing to pay for a different place in Galway and eat the lose. Don't know yet what we're doing.

Hi chattin, welcome, hope you don't have to stay, not a club you want to join. Hi all, where's Rose and Patty, didn't see them anywhere. Hope everybody else is hanging in there.

So since I can't remember what you all said, and I kept going back to another page, I'm just going to wing it...

You know, I hated investing! I got into it when the market was great...High interest rates on everything.... THEN it tanked.... I didn't make any money, and lost some...........

So the last few years, I have been closing all the investment stuff.... bonds, CD's, etc. I FINALLY got ALL of the invested money OUT of any rinky-dink "sure thing" investments. It is now in my savings... I will never invest anything again... not nowhere, not any way. And I know the market will come back, but not before giving every investor a panic attack.

Kath! Ha! They get what they deserved! ANY on-line dating for married people is just bizarre! I watched a few minutes of Bruce Jenner last night.... Man, I didn't know whether to gag or laugh....... Sorry, but I'm just one of those ones who thinks that guy is some ugly looking 65 year old dude who wants to look like a woman.

Loverly...yes! But these old homes can't be fixed up well enough to sell... The plumbing, electrical systems are so old... but at least we have an indoor bathroom...Ha! That's why they scrape, and start all over.... The chicken people next door, bought that old flat house, and put $100,00 into it, and put in a basement, extra bedroom, but they still have problems come up.... The bricks keep needing repair, plus the flat roof always finds a way to leak......... so sometimes it's best.... to start all over.

Like our house.... We connected a big rubber hose hooked onto the washer to take the DRAIN water that is pumped faster than the speed of sound..... OUT of the house! The old plumbing did not work... So I know that isn't up to code... but as long as no-one knows... it still goes into the drain, and out into the main out in the alley, but just a different route! Winking You just make do with what you have........

Sorry Sass for the probs.... It'll get better.... just in time for something else to go wrong......... xoxoxo

hi all, just a quick check in to answer the roll call. Thank you for the shout out.

Had a quick look for the Tim Tam Cheescake recipeSillyHeart

    Here it is

    https://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/new-idea/recipes/r/...

Have also been working hard this week to accomplish what I need to do to get back to work. Overdoing it most days, but slowly getting there. heading back next Tuesday but only part time to start with as I have more surgery coming up in about 6 weeks.

Had my second fill on Monday. Doc asked nurse for a spinal needle as the ones they usually have aren't long enough to find the port - which is not where it should be. When he found the port he decided to do two fills at the same time to make the most of his discovery. It was a bit ouchy and when I winced he apologised. I said, "don't worry, I'm a tough old bag" to which he replied " yes I know you are" . I was laughing so much he nearly lost the port again.

Have drawn him a map on my newly punctured boob so he can find it easily next week.

Boyd, good to hear from you. Moving foward.

Jac, it would be nice if we didn't have to work. We should work 3 days a week and have 4 days off. Wait, I'm doing that right now. I have nothing to complain! It would be nice to retire though. The cheese cake looks so good, but oh, the thought of the calories....

Ms. Spookie, caster sugar is superfine sugar, but not powdered sugar. I guess you can grind granulated sugar with a food processor to make caster sugar. Aren't you suppose to stay away from sugar??? Oh, you know what??? You can still make the cheese cake and FedEx it to moi.

Ms. Smaarty, what is wrong with the place in Galway?

  • luvmygoats

Domino and C&H make superfine sugar. I think caster sugar might have a bit different taste. Just hanging in here. Thundering like crazy. I did read a caution about grinding your own. It might just turn into sugar powder. Plain ole' cheesecake just uses regular sugar I think, plenty of it for sure, but just regular. Been ages since I made a regular one.

But since you asked I do make a fake cheesecake - Beat 4 oz softened cream cheese (lo fat is OK) until light and fluffy. Beat in 3/4 c vanilla yogurt, 3/4 c sour cream, & 1/2 c milk. Beat in 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1 small pkg instant vanilla pudding mix. Thickens immediately. Pour into graham cracker crust and chill 4 hours. I think the original recipe was 1 1/2 c sour cream but I cheat and make some of it yogurt. DH is none the wiser. And Spookie I've read this is just as good with sugar free pudding mix.

Nice hearing from you Boyds. Let us know what the outcome is.

    Howdy Kath.

I think Smaarty is too far outta town in her abode in Galway. Not near the action in the city.

Rain to the west of me, rain to the south of me. No rain to the North of me to move south over me. Wah, Wah, Wah.

Are you Westcoasters going to get a break ever?

I am jealous that you are getting the thunderstorm. We lived in Louisiana for our first six years in the States. Oh how I miss the thunderstorm. Many trees here in northern California are showing signs of distress...really sad.

Diabetics can have sugar. T2s need to watch their carb count. Insulin is a good thing.

Eeyore - rain is trending south for sure. I think that is some kind of sloth. Might be a relative of mine lol. Though I think they eat bugs, not on my diet.
