The Vietnam pictures are beautiful!  Want to go now.

Tresjoli:  ocular migraines??  I had those spontaneously happen. NOT fun.  Was told nothing to be done about them. Mine have stopped,,,, knock on wood,,, are you still having them?  Agree with others,,, style your hair.  Keep the shaving in reserve.

Kjones:  WTH? Didn't want to give you Ativan 1 mg?  That's so wrong. Ativan is a great drug. Thoughts on sleep meds. Many things give me the hangover in the morning effect too. Try liquid Benadryl, that way you can take a smaller dose than the capsule will let you do. Maybe a lower dose will give you less hang over in the morning. (do not take Benadryl if you are on tamoxifen)   Nortriptyline is one of the older anti-depressants known as TCAs.  Elavil,( amitriptyline) is another one, used a lot for sleep. 10 mg of that was too strong for me.  What I did use was another TCA called doxepin.  It is available as a liquid, 10 mg/1 ml (smallest capsule is 10 mg) so you can start low and see how it works for you and how hung over you are the next day. These meds will most likely leave you hung over the first couple of times you use them. Start on a weekend, or day off when being hung over isn't such a big deal.  I used to take 4 mg (0.4ml, get a measured syringe) and would sleep just great. Since doxepin is an anti-depressant used for sleep, hopefully, you won't get a hassle to try it.

One issue:  since most insurances will pay for only a 30 day supply, tell doctor to write RX for 1 ml at bedtime,,, that way you get 30 ml (1 ounce) and then you can play with the dose as you need to, and it will definitely last you more than 30 days.  Then if you find a standard dose, like 10 mg works for you,,, you could get the capsule instead of the liquid.

Thanks ladies, it was a tough year, but I am on the mend but still need that Ativan, it slows my mind and body down, and I don't think I could sleep at nite (and get a good nights sleep) without the Ativan. Sad to admit I am hooked on a drug this way, I understand it is not that easy to stop taking it, have to easy off it ever so slowly. If I forget to take it (rarely) I find myself just walking aimlessly around my house doing nothing with no ideas of what to do with myself, I take my ativan, and soon I calm down and get in the kitchen to fix something to eat, do some laundry or whatever else is needed to get done. Read, knit, crochet, mow the grass, all the usual things that need to get done.

    PS: Love all the pictures

imageShe is one of the aboriginal people living in the showcase village in Chiang Mai. She belongs to the tribe of Long Neck. Teenage Girls start placing metal rings on their neck, arms and legs, the more the prettier. Those rings they live with, not removed even when sleep. This lady is in her early 50s,and has the longest neck. she learned to play guitar and sings her tribe songs. The other is my friend with a fake ring on her neck ( open on the back) for photo op. The showcase village is a business set up showing different aboriginal people in their original life and arts & crafts. They were moved to live in there to entertain tourists but most men are working outside the village, only women and children there during the day.

Ms. Sas, it was my pleasure.

Thank you Jazzy. 400mg Motrin did not phase it. Better today. It might be weather related, I hope.

Just stopping in to say hello. Haven't been around this week but have a good excuse, I've been sleeping well, lol. However, I feel like I'm back in highschool and didn't keep up with the reading and now have no idea what's going on in class.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying a fabulous weekend. Don't know what its like for everyone else, but the weather in PA was fantastic.

Hi Debian, good you can drop in to say hi. How was the bridal shower?

Eeyore, those pictures brought back memory of Thailand. Thank you. We know someone who is teaching in Chiangmai. Have never been there, just visited the beaches and Bangkok. Can't wait to see the pics of Cambodia. Would like to visit Angkor Wat someday. Khmer people are one of the ethnic minority groups in VietNam

Oh, ok. Can't sleep?? It is amazing how the mind and body work. Too much of any emotions throw the body off balance. Have fun at the shower

All is well in my brain. Whoot shoot! Now, this week is the PET on Thursday and the onc on Friday. This is where we find out if the Gemzar-Carbo is still working. I hope so. However I saw an onc from Hopkins this past Wednesday, and the next treatment will probably be Ibrance. It sure would be nice to escape the 3 hour infusion chair, but of course I want each drug to remain effective and tolerable for as long as possible, likes couple years each. I'd like to visit NED too.

    Happy

Morning Mom2.... You had to get your own coffee? Hah!... DH fixes both of our pots at night, so I just have to push a button when I get up with the birds... I drink de-caf, and his is regular.... So we have 2 little 4 cup coffee makers.

got out for awhile and went to another castle. They had people in costume playing the original owners from 1860s. Kind of neat.

    Wow!! Beautiful HD picture, Jazzy.

Dunes, you changed your avatar again. Is it because of my teasing. Is that a maple leaf? Indeed good news on the MRI!! Did they find out what was behind the problems?

Ms. Spookie, I love the look of little Spookie. It is as if she is saying "why are you standing there with that thing over your face? I am ready to go."

Ms. Smaarty, what does it look like inside the castle? Amazing how old the castle looks and it's still standing.

    Mommy, just do it.

the castle rooms inside are done up in replica furniture for the time period. Not all the room are done. Very tall ceilings, 12-14 feet high. Some still have original wallpaper, some have been reproduced. Most don't allow pics.of the inside. This is the garden from yesterday.
