Today is the last day we are "chicken-sittin' " They will be home today after 10 days in Hawaii ! And their Cat, Edith, will miss her treats every morning..... The "girls" only laying ONE egg a day....! Out of 6 hens, you would THINK they could come up with more than THAT....

Egg production is dependent upon amount of daylight. It declines in autumn and can even stop for a while through the winter. It will resume again in Spring. You can continue egg production by providing artificial light in the morning end of the day.
