Ohhh it is pretty there near Clearwater. I got 2 visits to Jacksonville area beaches and Fernandina Beach.. loved that! Well my sciatic pain has finally subsided a bit! Still tight and painful but at least it is not electrocuting me! I spent all day in bed yesterday trying not to move. Glad that's better. Simplicity the rads I am doing are different then the serial treatments you are doing. Mine is to decrease the cancer in the shoulder, both hips and right femur above the knee. Today I have to see if we can sign up for a cheaper health plan. What's good for me isn't good for the rest of the family financially. My PCP can't be a medical home although all my specialty docs are in network. hmm. All these rules..ack!

Susan I laughed at your DIL's expression! She looks good for first trimester! You are lucky to be able to see a Grandbaby. My kids are too young 22, 19 and 14. They are working and going to school. (The youngest just school and basketball.) I just want DD2 to finish college and DD3 to finish middle/ highschool.

All these bad dog stories are hilarious. When I was young we had a border collie that "ate" my Dad's recliner and chewed an excape hole through the garage door. She got banished to the garage after eating the chair. Then we had an Airdale puppy who ate the woodwork (like a termite) off the glassed in porch. I do think some dogs can't be trained. Our current border collie is a gem. Then we agreed to take this doxie/chihuahau/russel mix about 4 years ago. (One of my daughters friend's parents were making them get rid of their dog 10 days before Xmas as part of a divorce!.. crying 15 and 10 year old kids with their dog - so we took this dog) She had 2 years worth of bad habits. We can't house train this dog. She stays in the kitchen. She will pee on my other dog's bed, marking it which infuriates me. She has her own dog house and will pee in her own bed in her dog house! I have never had a dog do that, crating her doesn't help. She won't pee in her bed in the kitchen. She is sweet, friendly, good alarm dog but she eats cat food and can climb any cat tower to gobble it up. So no freedom in the house. She poops on the patio because she hates getiing her feet wet in the grass. She also does weird things like "smiles" with her teeth showing and gets so excited when you come home she just goes ballistic.. ugh. Sometimes my 11 year old border collie will just put out a paw and flatten her - a reprimand of enough pup! CHILL! I think she might be house trained if she could use the doggy door, but she goes in and out rather insanely until my border lays across the dog door effectively closing it. Hahah.. If the little teeny tiny terrier went missing my border would be so happy. She is the poster child for ADHD in the dog kingdom - she chases leaves falling from the trees! Ditzy. We have a piece of cardboard across the kitchen door to keep her in and it's a wonder no one has broken their legs for the number of times we trip over it.

Ok, doc report first. He said there are 4 classes of things that would cause my tremor/neuropathy issues. Of course the first impulse is to blame it on BC tx but they far precede either cancer. First is genetic, and he asked about family hx etc. Recommends genetic testing. I didn't have it with dx for some reason, maybe because they were going to so the whole slash/poison/burn anyway. Second is chemical. He ordered lots of blood work I haven't had, copper, zinc, and a bunch of stuff I didn't recognize. Third is I think med SEs and he's going to go through them to see if there's a combination that might work better, though Celebrex is really the only constant through the time. Fourth is hormonal, basically thyroid, but I've had a good endo and stable at 200mcg tho I know there's more to the thyroid issue as Sassy has said. He checked reflexes, finger follow, pupil dilation, sharp/dull sensation on arms and legs. Says neuropathy goes almost up to knees. Left arm worse than right but legs bilateral. Can't remember anything else but DH was there so he might remember something else. At least he was physically there, he might have been wandering mentally. Then he drove me the 40 minutes back to my cancer clinic to have the blood draw at the infusion lab, and I was due a port flush anyway so that did double duty. Got to see my favorite chemo nurse.

DH is giving me something very special for Christmas. He's using his Christmas bonus to pay for enclosing our patio so I can have a painting studio! Our friend who redid our yard (and many other things for 15 years!) is putting an estimate together for us. He does outstanding work. I actually got my butt out there last weekend and power washed the concrete. Well, most of it anyway. I still have my easel from decades ago - I loved to paint in oils, but DH won't have them in the house because of the smell (which I love) so I haven't painted for probably 40 years. But I can't do pencil anymore because of the tremors. That was really MY medium. Last pencil work was about 2003 or so. I'm looking forward to having my own room!

So I went to find a photo I KNOW I have somewhere of the last pencil drawing I did, and I discovered that my photo library ended with last October 20, my last chemo day. WHAT!!! I know I'm not real good about syncing my phone and iPad, but that's ridiculous. After much messing around, I discovered that since I started syncing my iPhone with wifi, it doesn't add the photos in my camera roll to the iPhoto library. So I have just downloaded a years worth of photos to my library. I still can't find the one I'm looking for but I will go take a photo of it and see if I can take it without too much glare.

I drew this photo sometime in late 2002 or 2003, after my mom moved into independent living and before her passing. It is of her father as a young man. I think it's one of my better pieces. See next post.

Mags what a nice present! Beautiful backyard fence and a glassed in studio! Wow. I love sketching and find it's very relaxing. Cheap and kind of like hand eye meditation. Nice job.

Simplicity- my one DD likes the Mandala coloring books. They are beautiful and relaxing. I remember being stuck on an airplane and helping her color in one of the designs. Perfect activity and it was fun - flash backs to childhood.

Well Chevster dearest this die hard NASCAR fan has most certainly heard of Charlotte and Mooresville NC. I will eventually read those 17 pages and I think almost 600 posts I missed. Welcome Simple (pardon me if Chevy has named you something else, not being derrogatory). I don't know about the increasing tightness. What does your RO have to say about it? I know several on BCO have gone to PT for tightness issues (oh I see you are in PT already). Yup like Zills said Silvadene but is prescription. Just be careful if you get it on other clothing. It does stain. Hmm I think it might stain fingers too but it is marvelous for burns.

My only really bad dog story. DH and I had a wirehaired fox terrier named Boris - yes we named him that, wanted something manly - when we were 1st married. He chewed part of the concrete off the pad for the AC unit. I don't think he chewed the AC stuff itself - good thing huh or Zip/Zap bye bye Boris.

Rosie I can identify with climbing terriers. My rat terrier could climb one of those pet enclosures you see at dog shows. She's too old now to do that but she is still quite a jumper. Would not put it past her to get over our chain link fence if something really got her attention - which is easy to do out here. Ah yes she has pooped on the patio also.

Wren - that is hilarious about Hawaiian restaurant pic. Could do same thing with a really decorated up Mexican joint. The very best over the top Christmas decorations in Ft Worth were at a Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately they went out of business. I cannot remember the food prob. why it went belly up. That or the electric bill HaHa.

Simple - what do you color with? I bought a really nice book at Half Price Books, mostly intricate designs, not so much objects. Too bad I missed back to school sales for crayons/colored pencils. Love the owl. OK dug out my book. Color To Create BDM's Mind Series and there are several natural objects in there (I cannot recall the real "art" term for that) - a goldfish and a couple of owls on quick glance thru. Cover shows colored pencils. Anyone close to HP Books try there. My spending nemesis. Not shoes, purses but books.

Mags - you certainly got the talent that I didn't get. Lovely picture and quite a keepsake. You will have a lovely art studio area. My mom did oil painting and I rather liked the smell.
