Got an email from ZILLS today. Said she heard Blondie isn't doing well, wanted to do a card bomb. I don't have Blondies personal info, not even sure of her real name. Does anybody have this?
I guess if somebody does have it, say so here, then we can send PMs to exchange info.

Count me in! I do not know addresses or contact information. How is it you guys met for lunch and didn't exchange names.
Loverof life-- LOVE the photos you hit my favorites. Love the cardinals Susan. I miss them as we had them in PA when I was living there and there are none here in Oregon. They are gorgeous birds. Smarty like your tree. Hugs to everyone.
I got sprung from the hospital yesterday. It was heaven sleeping in my own bed --- all night. The nurses were exceptionally nice at the hospital, I will say that. One nurse even has stage 4 cancer and is NED now and works full time, has always worked oncology and finds it a calling. That is dedication above and beyond! I was speechless and humbled.

Yea for sleeping in your own bed! So glad you are home. Does someone here have your contact info?

Here's the first iteration of our Christmas tree. DH said we had to do it today because he's back to work tomorrow. Poor guy spent all his time off being sick. Our hearts (and bodies) weren't really into it, so we didn't do much, and the lights are a disaster. But that's ok, because when my cousin sees it she will take everything off and redo it, and finish it with ribbon and it will look all professional. And that's perfectly fine with us. (She also rearranges the dishwasher.

Easy Rose. The same way we did it with you last summer when you were here.

Check with Tomboy and SlowDeepBreaths. There is a BLONDIE thread,, think Tomboy started it. I believe either one of them will have contact info. I'm in for card bomb.

This was our tree in 2001. Complete with village and train. I kinda miss that house, lots of light. 2 houses ago.

This was at the last house. Have we had enough trees now?
0 -
Please excuse my ignorance, but whatis a card bomb?

Jazzy, congrats on your signed contract. Do you have people working under you? DH is self-employed too. Doesn't get paid until deal is closed. No income if deal falls through. It can get pretty intense at times.

Everyonesends a card so she gets lots of well wishes. I think cards are better than texts because you can take them out over and over or put them up in your house. Holidays are always tough if you're lonely and everything's worse if you don't feel good.

Good morning friends! It is 16 degrees here this morning, yeowza!
Loveroflife- I am a freelance consultant, no employees. Although I have had a lot of people who try to get me to hire them! But I am not interested in building a company, etc. And yes, it can be very hard sometimes too because deals fall through, or take longer than expected, or something can happen that results in you getting sued or needing to sue someone. Running a business is not for sissys!
Mags- I love the trees you are posting. I bet your cousin will have fun upping the game on the new tree. The rearranging of the dishwasher comment cracked me up.
Okay friends, off to my first busy day at the client site. Have a good day!

I had my own business for 18 years. I started out doing consulting. In the early 90's many companies were transitioning from conventional artwork to computers. I had a leg up because I'd started when Macs first came out, and had taught myself all the software – because there was no one else to teach it! I was offered a part time teaching spot at our vocational technical school, teaching the programs, and companies and state agencies started sending whole departments to my classes. That was where a lot of my early clients came from. After a few years one of them wanted me to do a catalog for them. So I started doing more hands on work. Eventually that client wanted to contract me to do most of their catalog work, and were willing to pay me enough to be available to them. When I would write a contract, I would ask for a third up front, so that they had a stake in following through. And so that if they cancelled I wasn't completely out. We continued on that way until 2008, when DH encouraged me to close it down because it was taking such a toll on my body. Pretty sure all those years of sitting at a computer fo 12-18 hours a day 7 days a week contributed to my back problems. Fortunately I didn't do that all year round, and when a catalog was finished I would get a nice break. And they paid me well. Which is why it's been really hard to be a "kept woman" even though I know there's no way I could work.0

Hello gals.... And it's PEPPERMINT! YAYYyyyyyyyy!
You gals are very well educated...! Proud of you all, and your accomplishments! I'm sort of getting to know our "new" neighbors.... They Both are very well educated, and he is a something, like being a Physicist, and she works out of home on her computer for "A Place For Mom"..... I think she is like a go-between, or will offer assistance finding options for women coming out of hospitals? Or figuring out with families how best to care for aging Parents..... I don't know her well enough.... but when the weather ever warms up, like maybe in March, we will walk up to Starbucks together....

This could be our basement.... if we had a basement.... Ha!
