my DD is on the right side in both pics. On floor next to her DH of almost 3 yrs. she threw a wedding together in 2 weeks, got married the day before my bmx . DIL is in the window with her son and my youngest DS. Older son is in old pic, more or less in the middle with the Aussie girlfriend on his right. Nick is sitting next to DH with his girlfriend next to him.
Someone Skypes with son in Japan. I use FaceTime with son in AU. Spoke to him last night. He's finally getting rested. They're planning on going to Italy in May with her Father to try out his new boat. I'm hoping to go to AU next fall.
Got the wallpaper all done, I just use water., waiting for plaster to dry so we can texture the wall. I have one room left that still has wallpaper, you can see it in the photos. Not touching that for a long time.
Lover, we need to have lunch soon.

I got my pet scan results. The short story of it is a dramatic decrease in all areas but one. The ex was for L5 vertebrae tumor. Pet scan from aug showed suv of 6.6. Pet scan now shows SUV of 3.2. Over 50% decrease. Wow ! Woo hoo! Major celebrstion being planned. I expected progression since I have missed so many tx's. Can't even imagine how much decrease once I get tx back of reg schedule. Only progression in one spot is in right femoral neck ( where thigh bone meets hip at ball and socket joint ). Advised to get orthopedic consult. Easier to fix and strengthen now then fix once it breaks. Will see. Not excited about another procedure. Ready to just be well.
Sas. Hugs. Love ya
Hugs all around
Hootie hoo

Patty: loud whistles of congratulations. That kind where you stick your fingers in the corner of your mouth, that can be heard across a cornfield (or insert your choice of impressive distance)

HI everyone! It has been quite a long time since I was here. Sorry for being such a stranger, but life just seems to get in the way at times. I do recognize some of the names, so I am hoping some of you remember me. I do have a couple of questions, but feel bad for not being here...and for once again needing your help. I tried very hard to put the surgery and past issues/concerns of my DCIS behind me, but today I was hit in the face with another issue and thought of you kind ladies immediately!

Zill, here hoping for excellent news too

Yay Patty, what wonderful news. You go girl.
Zills, pocket party for you on Monday.
Mdnghtdeb3, I disappeared for almost a year and the ladies welcomed me back with open arms. Glad you've found us again.

Thanks, kathindc! I really do feel bad for disappearing...everyone here was so very kind and helpful when I needed it the most! I will always and have always been extremely grateful for the love and support! Today the tears began once again and I found myself logging on here immediately. xo

Howdy Deb. Welcome back. We're still as cray-cray as ever over here. Shoot us your questions. Know very little about DCIS but surely someone does. We all strive to get on with life. I'm not much of a go-er and do-er so I log on here a lot. No sisters to hobnob with.

Howdy luvmygoats! I remember you!
Thanks so much for understanding! Almost 2 years ago I was diagnosed with DCIS. I had a lumpectomy on right and left side with a lymph node dissection. Radiation treatment, but no chemo. My last mamm was clear (last dec). Yesterday I went for a breast MRI and I got the results today. While my breasts are clear, there is an issue with my lymph nodes. They detected a 1.8cm solid mass on the left and the report states...moderate suspicion for malignant mass. Ultrasound and biopsy are recommended. Yikes! I feel a ton of emotions rushing back that I thought I had tucked away.
I guess my question is has anyone else experienced this and did it turn out to be benign or malignant?

zill - in your pocket for scans Monday.

deb...sorry to say mine was cancer again after same initial diagnosis as you. But that was 4 years ago and I am not only still here, I am still working and living large and having fun. Have my moments of course, but they don't control my life. On palliative chemo for the rest of my life. That has its ups and downs...but like I said...I laugh a whole lot more than I cry. Life can still be great. Good luck, and prayers your way

Didn't see your post above mine, Deb. I wonder how many of us develop PTSD. Hopefully, it is just scar tissue.

Patty- that is very good news about your results. You have been through so much, I am sure you were not expecting this great news. Whoot whoot. You go girl! Keep getting better Patty. Hootie hoo!
Deb3- I remember you, and sorry to hear about the finding on the test. I hope the biopsy turns out to not be anything, but as you can see, some other ladies here have been down this path, got it taken care of, and continue on to live life well. Hugs sister and wishing you good outcomes on your biopsy. We are here if you want to talk.

Wow! You ladies are awesome! Thank you for the kind words and the encouragement.
Susan3 - I'm happy to hear you aren't letting this control your life! Same diagnosis, huh? Wow! I guess it could go either way for me, but it's nice to know that it doesn't mean I have to stop living. Thank you!
Loveroflife - I bet a lot of us!
Jazzygirl - I remember you too!
Thank you for the hugs and well wishes!!! xoI truly wish I wasn't such an emotional person. I don't even have all the answers yet and I can't help but think of the worse possible scenario. I know that doesn't help one bit, but for tonight...I think I am having a bit of a pity party and it's just not right.

Does anyone know what category 4b means? That is what the report said.
0 -
I thin 4a is most likely not cancer and 4b is....a " bit" more of a chance. But not a strong possibility.if my memory serves me well
0 -
That is hopeful...not a strong possibility eases my mind a little. Thanks!

Patty, that's great news, especially since you haven't been able to have a regular treatment schedule yet. That stuff is really working!
Chevy, I love the pic of you and your SIL. My aunt had a big wig like that, but hers was blonde. Oh, the 70s!
Deb, Susan's memory is correct - it's just suspicious. We've also had a couple of people recently come up with local-only recurrences, so try not too worry too much. Impossible, I know, and I should talk, I am the queen of worriers!

There you are Cubbie!! Thought you were kidnapped. I like the picture of Ms. CHEVY and her SIL too...kind of like Marge Simpson's, but of course our MS. CHEVY has a prettier face.

Loverly, I was doing Christmas events (sound for programs and dances and concerts) almost every day leading up to Christmas. Then I got sick at Christmas (ugh!) and was out of commission for a while. It's good to see you guys again!

Hi Deb, and welcome back. I think you were before my time, but this has become my home thread so to speak. I'm here daily, sometimes at really odd times… wait, there is no such thing here, is there?
Anyway, Sassy, did you get my note? Did you check your email? I'm off to the neurologist tomorrow. Don't know if DH can drive me, if not, DC will, but I'd really like him to be there since he went before. He's been out of the office for almost 2 weeks so it may be crazy. He's worked from home a lot of that time, but still. He got nervous over Christmas when nothing broke and he didn't get any texts or emails.
Tomorrow night we have a guest. Our friend has been at seminary in Scotland and gets home once in a blue moon. He's DH's age, a perennial student, one or two PhDs or whatever theology degrees they hand out, a thespian and ale brewer, and a story teller. He's been all over the world, kidnapped in Burma, climbed Kilimanjaro, studied with Francis Shaeffer in Switzerland, been on archaeological digs in Israel, and he still comes home to see his mom, and us. He will regale us with tales of his travels and discoveries of his many esteemed great grandfathers. He has a colorful lineage among other things. But, we love him. He hasn't seen me since I lost body parts.
So we shall see what tomorrow will bring.
