I am still up Can't shut my mind off. Coming down off prednisone isn't always easy. Keeps me up a few nights.
Hope Rosie is peaceful tonight.
Actually Hope all who are suffering tonight find peace and comfort. And when we finally sleep, I wish we all have beautiful dreams

No Probs Sass! It all worked out great! Besides I can't call 911 now.... We're too busy going shopping, looking for mittens.... and watching old movies!
He is doing great! Just rang his chimes... He was "focusing" while we were talking to him.... I thought from the beginning it had something to do with his diarrhea the night before... .... that's the same thing that happened to Theresa... Diahrreah... Then woke up, passed out, and they took her in, gave her lots of fluids because she was dehydrated.
I think it was good for him to have that many "women" working on him.... He was teasing them all.... And like I said, they did a cat-scan, BP, EKG, plus the fluid IV.
Also, looking into some kind of "life alert" system.... One that will use GPS to locate you when they detect a fall...
And you too! What is this? "we need each other????" Ain't gonna change him.... We cannot tramp on their territory.... Looks like that's just the way it's gonna be...
If you can't change it, just deal.....
I saw this on FB, and it was probably in my Grandma's medicine cabinet... along with her Turpentine, and black drawing-salve, with the pieces of Bacon to tape on a splinter or piece of metal on your finger... along with a bottle of whiskey that cured EVERYthing!
I forgot the dry mustard to make mustard plasters and then cover it with real, official WOOL pieces! And OH! Anisette for the cramps....
And to kill the bugs on the plants, like aphids, and gnats, you had to light a cigarette and blow the smoke, on the leaves!
And always remember to use Ben Gay & Mentholatum from head to toe when your nose was plugged.
And sleep in a pitch-black room.... supposedly to keep the bugs from finding their way around, and getting on you.

Sas, just sending you a hug from down under. You are so busy helping others. So strong. I cannot believe that from time to time, you might not need some input from others. So, this post is just for you.

Good morning friends- while you were all up and chatting here, I slept like a LOG last night! Boy did I need that after not sleeping well/enough the past few nights. I hope the rest of you got to sleep and were able to get enough. I know how not enough sleep makes any of us feel.
Deb- will be thinking of you on Tuesday and in your pocket. Wishing you good outcomes from your biopsy (meaning no cancer!)
Susan- hoping you are feeling better today.
Patty- the music event was not a concert exactly, but a jam session with music friends. It was the most awesome turn out, so many people I know from my jazz connections, and some great food too! The potluck table was so good in fact, that many people spent there time there vs. playing! Food vs. music, a tough choice for this group! I had a great time and came away filled up! My friend who hosts this every year is also a cancer survivor.
Today is the last day of the holiday zone for those of us working. Trying to get caught up at home from my time away over Xmas, and starting to gather the Xmas items to put away. Seems like you just put them up and then you take them down again!
Wishing everyone a good Sunday!

Chevy, that is interesting about blowing cigarette smoke on the plants to kill the bugs. You can still get black drawing salve. Love the old picture. It is amazing what was in "remedies" before the FDA got started.

I have soaked a nasty baby goat hoof in epsom salts and put ichthammol on it. Cured him up finally. I have a tube of epsom salt cream for feet. I need to get it out and use it. Says softening but I bet it is relaxing too. Jazzy recommended on another thread a holistic cream called Topricin - I found it at Sprouts. I went thru a bout of foot pain, just one foot on the outer edge and that stuff did great on it.
Just be careful with the Epsom Salts. Are they slippery like baking soda is in the tub?
Just don't blow smoke on tomato plants. Nicotine is related to a disease of them, can't recall just what at the moment.
BBL - off to get ready for church. Haven't been in 3 weeks so have to get up and moving today.

So that means you can't sit out in your garden smoking weed, in the middle of your tomato patch?

Weed, sure. It's tobacco that's problematic--something about tobacco mosaic virus?

He he he.....CHEVY, we got your number. Love to be "out" in your little garden. Your amazing sanctuary of flowers, vegetables, statues, birds, 87 years of collectables. You know that stuff will stunt your growth. Oh, hold on.........IT already DID !

so much going on. I have been absent. My BFF was dx 3 weeks ago with Cancer of the ?, spread like wild fire. She died Thursday of liver cancer. I was with her for the last several weeks. She lived with her ex DH. We took care of her, hospice came in 24 hours before her death. Not the best plan, but that's the way it worked out. We were best friends for 42 years. I am still numb. Her name was Valerie.
Rosie, you will be missed, mourned & admired.
MammaRay, my sweet girl.....this totally sucks ! I am sorry. No words, but keep swimming. Vent away, this should not be happening to a 32 year old.
Blondie, your a tough cookie. I hope your days are filled with yummy things to eat & comfort.
Patty, again, LOVE the new photo. You look good.
Hello to all my friends here.

Sorry for your Loss Holeinone. RIP Valerie.

Thank you Mss. Chevy, Spookie, and Sas! Vet did say to give her Omega 3. When we first got her the skin on her belly was all red and scabby. I used triamcinolone along with Tripple Antibiotics cream and it cleared up nicely. Harder to see/find red spots under her hair on the rest of the body. She has been on Kirkland Nature Domain and poo looks ok. Previous owner who surrendered her to SPCA stated that Mitzy has corn allergy. So we are careful to avoid corn in her food/treats. Checked the website you suggested Ms. Spookie. Thank you. May need to find a better brand. It makes sense the severe dry skin causes her to itch and then she scratches herself so much that she gets skin infections. With me giving her weekly bath makes the situation worse. I put some coconut oil on her last night. It was a challenge because the girl wants to eat the coconut oil. Hah!
I know that foul smell you mentioned Ms Sas. It's smells like a dead something. She did have that smell twice since we got her. Usually, it is triggered by fear. Took her to a swim competition once and she was a mess. I had never seen a dog so scare of kids and crowded place. On our way home, we had to roll all the windows down. Try driving on the freeway with that. Hah!

Oh Hi1, just saw your post above mine. So sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Valerie. Father-in-law died within a few weeks after he was diagnosed of liver cancer. Terrible! Hugs to you.

Jazzy, it probably takes you 5 minutes to put away your Christmas decorations. That's my goal for this year- simplicity.Put mine away 2 days ago. Thinking about giving away my tree, but DD2 said no.

Hin1, sorry to hear about your friend.
Chevy, glad DH is doing better. Is he still having his eyes done or was that someone else's DH?
Got the painting all done on Friday, cleaned out some of the cabinets in that room. Have 4 bags of stuff to give or throw away. Today I'm making waffle cookies. Have gained some weight so need to do better before the cruise in February. If I just gave up chocolate I'd be fine!! Not going to happen.
Hope everyone is doing fine. Susan, did you get some sleep?

my sister got a new puppy. Now she back to 3 dogs and 3 cats!

My family keeps bugging me to get a dog. Not EVER going to happen. Been there, done that.

Oh Smaarty, me too. Absolutely no disrespect to all the dog lovers here but dogs are waaaay more work (and mess) than cats. You have to really want to have a dog.

we have had dogs over the last 48 years. Loved them all (well, all but 1). Haven't had one in probably 6-7 years now. Cats are enough (way too many)! And easier in a lot of ways. And I don't want to be the one who has to train it since DH couldn't hear it.
How you doing FF? Kids go back to school tomorrow? Did DS get driver license or still in the process? Did dd get the teeth all straighten out? No problems
