Hi Nettie Well settle in and tell us all about it
We will bring the hot chocolate and cookies.0 -
Sitting here relaxing a bit before I go to bed!

What!?!? Bedtime already?? Oh yeah, you are in the east coast.
Welcome SC60.
Patty, lalalalalalalalala

Ms. Smaarty, love those chubby cheeks of baby Evie. I just want to pinch them!!
0 -
Thank you for the welcomes!
Kathy, I live in Western Tidewater 9 miles from NC and an hour to any mall. Basically "BFE". Not where I want to be, but I am trying to be grateful for what I have.
Allie is my Great Dane. My DD's dog Ryan was the one who kept me up until 5:30 this morning. I still have no clue as to why. It was very weird.
I am going to try and post as this is my third time trying and I hope the third time is the charm!

Awww, love it when they sleep on the chest. Oh, and the baby smell. Wish we can bottle that

SC60, not familiar with Western Tidewater area. Had cousins who lived in Norfolk/Portsmouth, Va. Norfolk cousins moved to Roanoke.
Smaarty, you can overload me with Evie cuteness as much as you want. She is beautiful. I agree with Lover - wish there was a way to bottle baby smell. So relaxing to cuddle and smell them.
0 -
Smaty - you can overload me too!!! She is so darn cute!
Hope everyone is staying warm. It's like 12 degrees here. Ugh! Hubby says if I would just put on a little weight, I wouldn't feel it so much. Not!
Hugs to all you beautiful ladies! xo

Deb, you should keep warm like Patty
0 -
Smaarty - You can overload me anytime. Don't get any baby time. None around me. Umm baby smell. Maybe we all need to douse ourselves with Johnson's baby powder (even though I know that's not the "baby smell" exactly)
Was 64 or something like that here today with sun. Couple more days and then the bottom drops out. I've heard maybe or maybe not snow for Sat and Mon.
Welcome SC60. Agree with Sassy. Might have been something outside. Gather that Allie has returned to her normal state.
Hi Nettie. Welcome back to our craziness.

Smaarty: not even close to overload.
Luvmygoats: there's the baby smell but also the squashy limpness of sleep in our arms.
PeppermintPatty: Off to keep myself properly warm. (pops eyebrows)

In case anyone is interested in and has time to kill, this was my 2015, and why I was absent so much here. Glad to be back to spending a little time with you ladies:

wow Jwoo, you had a full and insane year. Glad things are working out and your recon is around the corner. Glad your fur babies made it home too
0 -
smarty. Cuteness overload is good. Keep em coming
Sas - oops maybe I should turn it down?
Sorry if I offended anyone.
Hootie hoo.

Offend anyone?? Girl, I am GLAD you feel better to think about the normal things that we take for granted. Did I tell you that....AHEMMM..,.DH was the one who found the lump? TMI huh? Scared me and himself yesterday when he thought he felt one on the remaining side. Now I am paranoid, but he doesn't know that.
JWoo, 2016 has to be a better year for you. Wow!

Smaarty, glad to see such good news from your family - Evie home, and your DGS ahead of schedule!
Been super busy at work, giving math tests. They're computerized, so the kids actually like them (Math is fun? What's up with that?). It makes for long days, though, I have to be at work at 6, and on Monday night I had a policy meeting that didn't break up until 8:30. Nothing like these 14 hour days!

Morning all!

Chevy, you up?
0 -
Morning Spookie! Yes, been up for about an hour.... How are YOU doing?

I just wish DH's cataract surgery was over... I don't MEAN to worry, and wouldn't let him think I was, but I just am. Been giving him those eye drops, for 3 days, 4 times a day... Tomorrow we go in at 10:30.... I KNOW he will be able to see much better... just still worried about him since he passed out New Years Eve day...
When things like that happen, it kind of shook us all up... thinking it could have been so much worse, and thankful that it wasn't... I WANT to take care of him... and feel so bad when things hurt him... Arthritis bothers him... but again..... things could be a lot worse.... right?

Was nice to wake up to snow on the ground. It was just enough to turn the ground white, but I still want more!

Aw Ms. Chevy, when the person we love so much hurts, we hurt with them. We worry and can't help it. You haven't been your usual self. Wishing you peace of mind so we can have our Ms. Chevy back( I know it's selfish). Imagine our arms wrapping around you. And a peck on the cheek.

Morning Mommy, we have rain here. Yay

Deb, weight doesn't guarantee staying warm. If that were the case, to borrow Patty's phrase, I'd be hot, hot, hot - NOT. I'm more like the artic and getting worse every year. This has been going on for three years. I was someone who wore short sleeved blouses year round and didn't start wearing a jacket until temps got in the low 40s and it would be spring weight. Now, I am in fleece lined, long sleeved flannel shits and heavy pants.

Seems like I've always been cold in winter. The last Christmas up north, it was below zero. I had on double pants, shirts, socks, even shoes!! A fire going, thermostat on 80, still cold. My mom came in sweating buckets.
Chevy laughs at me, I really can't stand it. I'd never survive at her house, it's fun to joke and laugh though.

Chevy best wishes to your DH.

chevy. - with you tomorrow for Mr c cataract surgery. Yes I agree. : its scary to be out of our control. Relax. You'll have him home quickly with a new twinkle in his eyes. We miss you.
Jwoo. I pray for 2016 to be a much better year for you. For all the of us.
Sas. - OK where you at on planning dinner party?
Loverly. - thanks.
Dh is home sick. Some sort of stomach bug. Yesterday was his bday and felt pretty rough but full on today. He almost never gets sick. Refuses to take off work for illness but he did today so that's tells me how miserable he must be. Trying to keep him quarantined in the bedroom. Typical man being sick. Wish we had s she shed outside and I would escasoe there with the boys to prevent catching ANYTHING!
Hootie hoo
