hello ladies. Anybody up?

I LIKE those socks with the flip-flops. Spooks,,, what do you think??
0 -
So Meow, you had to get up? Hah! It's so fun how cats love to snuggle....
Yes Peppermint... I woke up at 4.... NOW where are YOU? I've been trying to figure out of something I ordered online is actually coming or just a SCAM! Janie showed me this Michael Kors hand-bag that she LOVED! It was really cheap... so I ordered it for her... Now I can't get them to answer emails...etc.! I go to the MK face-book page, and there is a "court action"! Seems this bogus site is selling knock-offs, and then not sending them! BUT maybe I will get the hand-bag after all.... They will not answer my thousand or so emails...

Smarty.... I laughed when I saw your picture! But wouldn't flip-flops help stop a hammer-toe? I'll bet they would! HaaaaaaaaaaaahhAAAAAAh!

Good Morning all,
Chevester, glad you got DH taken care of, patched up, good as 1964. Those web sites are very deceiving. I read you need to enter the URL yourself, not clicking on a link. I do, all the time. Oh, let's look at that. Click click.
I just dropped my car off. Those stinkin fobs. 2nd time I have needed to get it reprogrammed. $300. What a waste of $. But, what do YA do? The keys do not work if the fob gets deprogrammed. I told the guy I wanted to buy a new car, with NO fob technogoly. Arrgggg....
Welcome Solfeo.....I take 1/4 of an Ambien, almost nightly. I am sure there is reason not too, but I don't care.
Smaarty, love those socks.
JWOW, read your blog. I agree, 2015 was not the best year. I want to believe that this year will be different, more happiness, less sadness.
It's snowing, again! I love it, BUT hate the cold. I am headed to the desert in a few days. Taking my golf clubs, first road trip in MY life, that I can take my time, go where I want, do what I want. I am meeting friends at a golf resort in 10 days. Also staying with my sister for a few days. I will head to the beach, take long walks, smile at strangers, go to the movies, & hopefully read a book.

How about a cute pair of tabi socks?

They are comfortable.
Edited to change the autocorrect of tabi socks from taxi back to tabi.

Best wishes MammaRay.

Hol- your road trip sounds awesome. First one ever? Where from and to may I ask? Once you do one, you will never be the same! Don't forget to stop at interesting things along the way, you won't regret that!
I went for some spa time today. Been searching for someone new to work on my feet that have issues for a couple reasons, but especially from the tendons being dried out from the AIs. It was so bad the first six months, but got better and had a massage therapist who worked on my feet regularly. They are better since those days, but my massage therapist closed her business in Oct and that was the last time anyone worked on my feet.
I think my new person, Jered is a keeper and did a great reflexology treatment for me. I made another apt with him for late February.

Patty/Miss Hootie Hoo- how are you feeling this weekend?

Kathindc, I was going to mention tabi sox too. I used to have a pair. It's my toes that get cold, not so much my feet.
0 -
I need to get some tabi sox for DH. He is one of those who wear sox with flip flops.
Goats-yes, xi muoi or li hing mui. You actually liked it? It's an acquired taste.
Deb, hope you are not in toomuch pain.
Cubbie, meant to ask you if you are a teacher.
Hiho, sounds exciting. Have a fun and safe trip.
Jazzy, stop wearing those sexy stilettos.
Patty, you feeling better?
Hello to everyone else.

Oh I was SOOO wondering what taxi socks were before heading out to church this morning !!!

Now that I know what to google here is what I found:
Tabi socks, or split-toe socks, have been worn in Japan since the sixteenth century, reaching their peak popularity during the Edo period (1600-1868)
Any of you got any antique pairs? Might be worth a fortune

Those tabi socks are really cute.

Loverly - I developed a taste for those in Hawaii as a kid. Not so much now lol. Is that the pronunciation in Vietnamese? We used to get those and those sticky plums I think. They were the treats when we went with DM to the laundromat.
I have a pair of tabi socks and a kimono. They are from the early 1960s. Also have a pair of embroidered getas (a cross between a clog/flip-flop). Gosh I love Wikipedia. All made for someone much tinier than I am now.
Patty - how are things today?
HO1 - Road trip. Sounds like bunches of fun. I get to escape to the county seat Thur or Fri (a whole 20 miles). DH turned 65 on Friday so I need to file our new tax exemption on the house. Voters OK'd additional $ with November voting. Also get to see a nurse friend RN, former hospice co-worker. Owns her own senior care business and a small personal care home. Told her I would bring lunch for her and her hubby who works with her. Will prob. try for Friday since DH is off and I can be more free with my time.

hello all . just catching up on y'all.
I did catch the stomach bug from dh. I am not nearly as miserable as he was. Laying down is great. Sitting up is horrible. Yuck. Double yuck

Patty- I had that same bug last weekend, and sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. Take it easy sister and drink lots of fluids.

Patty you poor thing, hope you are feeling much better very soon. XX

Oh sorry Peppermint! It would be hard NOT to catch something like that.... especially living in the same house.... Hope you feel better soon.
I remember my Dad brought home a Kimono, wooden clog shoes, paper lanterns, etc. from Japan after WW2.... He was there 3 days after the bomb.... working with in white suit to help clean up the city! Didn't know this when I was little.... but after Mom died, we talked a LOT about his life in the Navy....
The lives of so many Japanese-Americans were displaced during the war.... What a horrible time they went through.... My older neighbors.... Theresa & Eddie.... She is now in Assisted Living.... 91 years old.... But Eddie was on Pearl Harbor when the Japanese bombed the harbor.... He was interviewed about what it was like..... I only hope the United States is never that close to war again.... Dec. 7th.... 1941....
I was only 4.... but I remember my Mom crying when they heard the news.....

Oh my dear! Life is unpredictable. Our pastor's wife passed away two years ago this month from pulmonary embolism. Saw her at church on Sunday morning and got a phone call on Monday that she was gone. Autopsy showed she had mestastatic ovarian cancer. No one knew. Other than not feeling well Sunday evening, she had no pain. She was only 47.

Sad to hear. Those sudden deaths are so hard.

Patty, sorry you caught the flu bug. You have spent enough time in the bathroom these last couple of months, the universe should give you a pass on the flu!
Susan and Loverly, I'm sorry to hear about the loss of these women, so young.
