Stop bragging Chevy. DC is still getting snow. It was suppose to taper off at 2:00, promises, promises. Got the car cleaned off and before we could dig it out the city sent a plow up it (on block, dead end) and pushed more snow toward it. It should be interesting now trying to dig it out. Here's a shot from my front door earlier, brrrr.

The car in the foreground is ours four hours after cleaning it off.

I didn't move far enough south. Like the equator. Grumble
And as for ALL that snow, I have no words.

So far, we have gotten what we usually get in one season. Blah! Have shoveled twice and still need to do another pass.

Kathindc - Oh my! what a lot of snow. It reminds me of when I lived in South Lake Tahoe back in the 80's in a 21' travel trailer. Of course I was young and healthy waaaaay back then.
Temp in Salem, OR right now is 46 degrees and I'm cold enough with that. Can't imagine being there. Hope you stay safe inside your warm house.

I know we got at least 6 inches of snow, because I can't find my flower beds!

Eastern Ladies - your snow is top story on our news over here!

Loved the pictures! Kath..... I can't beLIEVE how that much snow fell at one time! covering your whole car! I didn't even SEE it at first! But AFTER the snow is when so many elderly people really get into trouble, thinking they can shovel their walks... I fell one time in deep snow, but you don't even get hurt... Ha! Just the exertion is what is bad for a lot of people.....
Supposed to get a little snow here later, but compared to the Eastern Sea Board, it won't be much! I'll never complain again! I still can't see my North side garden... Under about a foot of ice & snow still... Sun doesn't ever get over there in the winter... But my rose-bushes make it this Spring... Stay warm and cozy gals!

wow eastern ladies. Guess I'll quit complaining about the cold. Brrr. Hurry up spring.
Tomorrow , fingers crossed. Dss will be back in school after a whole week out. Hooray. They are bored and I am exhausted.
Today I am feeling thankful. Had some crazy dreams about dying and how it affected dss and dh. Kept waking up and then having the same nightmare. Yuck. But I am ALiVE !!! I can walk and talk and feed myself and wipe my own butt. Hooray. I am not able to be exactly the kind of mom and wife I wanted to be but I am ALiVE. !!! I do add value to m families lives. I do get to spend alot of time with them. Where if I was well. I pobably wouldn't have so much time with them. I've always been a workaholic. Two jobs most of my life til self employed and then 80 or more hours a week at work. Missed alot when boys were in daycare. So busy planning for the future I was missing the present. I have been here for so many things I know I would have missed. We are closer then we would have been. So although I am not that person who will say they are thankful for cancer - oh hell no - I can find the positive that has come from it. So my thought for today is. : thankfulness and gratitude.
Hugs to all

Thank you for the welcome back.
I am trying not to think about the test on Friday so I will tell you about something else. We are planning to buy a house and have just gotten pre-approved. Now to find one we can afford and do all the things it takes to buy, pack up and move. We are renting now since last May and had to move from the previous rental in 30 days because landlord was going to sell. It was crazy! and expensive! Our rantal owners here don't want to sell and I want to get settled somewhere. Right now there are almost no houses on the market except more expensive ones. Houses are selling in a day or two of listing! Crazy it is! In Seattle proper the rents are skyrocketing so people are trying to buy, we are in an eastside suburb and some are coming here. Also something I had never heard of but Chinese couples are investing here and buy with cash so there is hardly anyway to compete with them. That is something I had never considered. I really don't want to continue to rent, we would have to pitch a tent once my husband retires if we don't have a place.
Me sleep cycle is still falling asleep pretty early and waking up early, not quite so early as before. I hope to keep my cycle like this at least until the test on Friday. I have gone in on no sleep but it is so weird and not who I want to be or feel.
Love you all, sleep well!

Gingerbrew, It is definitely a crazy market in Seattle. We get letters all the time wanting to buy our house, sign unseen. If they change the zoning, which is a possibility, they would just tear our house down and build 4 townhouses. We would be like you though. Where would we go? I want to get out of Seattle. We have grandkids in Oregon and it would be nice to be closer to them. The grandkids here are grown, in college, and we rarely see them.

Glennie snow flurries. Did everyone run outside and stick their tongue's out?

Ginger, Market's tight here too. So many hoses sold to investors for a pittance. Then they flipped them and rented or sold them. For our area the advantage is marginal properties have nicely been brought up to a better standard. The sale inventory is extremely low in our area. The whole town looks better. Crime rates gone down too

Good luck on the test.
Loverly, thanks, Patty too................

Patty, good for you! Not easy not to feel defeated when the enemy's arrows keep on coming. Try to take it easy. I realize you wanted to maximize your time with the boys since they got the days off from school, but doing too much can set you back even further. You know your body. Listen to it. Boy, I sound like an older sister or a mom

Glennie, thank you for sharing the video. We need more people like officer White. I also admire Shaq for taking the time out to encourage the kids.
Teka, how do people function with that kind of temperature?? BRRR
I am so clumsy .....Ok,I have a keloid (scar) between my chest and armpit (I am thinking from maybe a clip they used during my MX). While drying myself I noticed blotches of blood on my towel and thought '"ok, WHO had a boody nose and used my towel?" then immediately realized I must have nicked the keloid with the razor while shaving!
No wonder I felt a tiny sting when I moved the razor to the other armpit.0 -
Did this really happen?? Haha. Y'all got some interesting people there

I guess this is not true then.

loverly. Gas fight story. : hilarious !! Thanks for posting.
So this morning my thought was : thankfulness. I forgot to mention how thankful that my dh still finds me desirable. That he still is aroused by me just by a kiss or hand holding or a quick hug. That is pretty impressive after being together 24 years. He has taken care of me after so many surgeries, so many horrible cancer side effects. He has carried me,wiped away many tears for me, fed me, bathed me, even had to wipe my bottom for me on many occasions, nursed me , changed horribly disgusting bandages for me, held my hair back while I threw up , was patient after I turned him away so many times because i felt horrible , Was flat chested several years , had many surgeries including all teeth removed and dentures put in and have been bald nearly a year. Etc. The list goes on and on. Many spouses have left for alot fewer reasons but my dh is not only still here , but still genuinely loves me is sincerely aroused by me. Wow. That blows me away. I wish for my dss to find someone they love like this. I hope that they see what true commitment means and finds someone who will work as hard as us to stay together. Sorry for the long post. Feeling. : thankful.

Patty, that is so wonderful! Give yourself credit also. It would not work so well without your love and commitment to him! So happy for your whole family for such happiness.

ah Patty p, so sweet. I have the same....34 years this past week. I have just woke up today after sleeping since chemo Wednesday. I cried and told him I'm sorry, and it must be hard for him to watch. He got tears eyed also and said no problem. He does it with such ease...and honestly....I am NOT a good patient. I have the...I can do it myself and leave me alone attitude....as I can't walk up the steps during chemo weeks. He just calmly walks in front of me in case I tumble down the steps...careful of course not to hold my hand cause I might muster enough energy to slap him. Lol. And yes he still finds me "hot" yes we are thankful....but you seem much nicer than me
