Smarrty, You missed this" Last months bill was 82$" I took the house from 350$ in 1999 to 82$ in 2016 by energy rate stuff. But would love to go solar and or have a wind windmill. But we don't have enough wind.
You were talking solar panels versus solar pool >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Off to bed nodding off. Must call Midnight and Susan tommorro

Sassy- I thought I heard Blondie tell me she got a ladybug on her hand or wrist? When she was in Florida last year?

Blondie was here July 8. Was fun meeting her and having lunch and laughs.0 -
Smaarty - Great news. XXX

yes sassy, solar panels. We have a program here that allows the company to take the rebates and installs the panels. Basically we are renting them for 20 years and we didn't have to pay for them. Ours averages out to $80 a month.
Ladies, do you think I should ask to see a PT to find a better way to exercise that doesn't pull the scar tissue in my gut from sx

Hootie Hoo!! How are you??

Smarrty, your doc will eval the scar tissue. Probably did in your visit. PT is the most qualified to try and break it up. Won't be a walk in the park. But they will best be able to either do it, or recommend to a surgeon to do a scar release. In the early phase of scar formation steroids can be injected to help reduce scarring. But once it's tightly formed steroids won't do any good. If you were to reach the time of needing a surgeon to release the scars, try one associated with a burn unit. It's a thing they do routinely. Any surgeon is qualified, but surgeons that specialize in burns do it daily. Plastics docs are qualified too if they are board certified in reconstructive surgery. Lot's of talk of certifications left out. Board certified in any field is the best.
On the solar panels and wind energy. Texas is way ahead of many states. They are almost self sufficient with wind energy. You describe great advances in California. Here in Florida you would think the State of Florida would be doing everything to get us off the fossil fuels. Not. They're was a big expose' type report last year. Of course, I forget details.
Jazzy, Blonde has several on her hand(s) and ankles. Each has a story. She was going to get another one with her niece during the visit. Each ladybug had a story. Basically, they were in solidarity with her. But that's all I remember.
Thanks, Spookie for posting her pic
What about the other ones? Any chance?HOOTIEHOOPATTYWOOHOO

I was in birkenstock's
See that little nubbin at the wood to wood side. That's what I caught on. Sheesh, only that would cause a major fall for me, no one else. Stupid lower leg.

We just got back from court, Donnie get's to keep his license. They reduced his payment from 660 to 220/month. It seems permanent. Not sure how it happened. I think some behind the scenes work was done. His original back arrears at time of the child support decree was 18,200. The divorce decree defined that they're wouldn't be any. He had custody of two, she had custody of one. BUT the State of Florida(or her lawyer) asked or automatically declared 2 years back support b/c the law allows it. But the handling fee for each posting was 45$.on the arrears. Plus, they can charge interest. His 18,200 grew to be 48,000plus. Even though on the books he had paid all the primary and arrears for 18 years and 7 months. Crazy.
I did paper work for him last night and asked that a reasonably less amount be determined to pay the arrears. A phrase "The indentured total is unknown". I did cross off the indentured. I figured it would piss off the Court. It was hard to cross off that word b/c when the state gets away with charging 30,000plus on 18,200, that's indentured servitude. Fancy name for slavery. It's against the law outside the government.
He may not attempt a modification now b/c he can deal with 220.00
Child support is an unpopular issue. They're dead beats out there, but Donnie always paid. There's lot's more to the story, but I've bored you enough. It was pretty worrisome about him losing his license. Sigh of relief here could be heard in California.

Okay, one more thing. I figured a way for him to pay the arrears without paying more than 220. It would be legal. ---He pays 220. It's paid to the exwife through DCS. She or he then pays in his name using the same 220 . In the record it's paid down with each recording. The law can't define what she does with the money. She has already been paid over now 20 years. She might do it. Their friendly.

Can hear the sigh all the way here in California even with the tinnitus!

Sassy- that is cool about Blondie's tats. I will have to ask her about the ladybug significance to her next time we talk.
Spookie- I love that photo of Blondie. I know she had SUCH a GOOD TIME with you and Sassy when he was there last summer. She LOVES Florida.
I finished my six month follow up today with a final visit with the BS. She said all is well and I am doing very well. My MO told me the same thing a couple weeks ago during my visit to see him.
So grateful.

Yay, Jazzy! May I ask what is usually done at your MO visit? Mine just checks for lumps and bumps on my native side. I am surprised that she doesn't check anywhere else( ie. armpit or clavicle areas).
Ms. Smaarty, sure ....why not ask PT for exercises to strengthen upper body? Good that US came back with no findings.
Ms. Sas, what a mess/headache you both have to deal with....

Oh, were you able to get a hold of Susan and Deb? I think Susan is due for chemo today. I remember a few weeks back she mentioned swollen nodes ( I forgot where).

Loveroflife- my MO used to do a bit more than he does now. He does blood work to check my CBC and of course, the liver enzymes. He looks at the CBC while I am there. We talked this past visit mostly about the AIs and how I am doing on them, bone health, whether I should do 5 vs. 10 years, etc. He also reviewed my imaging report from his perspective, although that is more of the BS focus. I had lumpectomies, so that is why I still see a BS as well as an MO.
He used to do more of a physicial exam, but since my BS pretty much focuses on everything around the breast and glands, he has done that less the past couple times. And I get a Prolia shot for my bones. Seven down, three to go before I reach my five year mark.
It felt like they watched me very closely for the first two years, but things seemed to relax a bit into year three. I will be to four years out this fall.

Thank you, Jazzy. My MO has not ordered any blood tests. I have to ask my PCP for CBC, liver enzymes, chem panel, and Vit D level. Not sure what is standard follow up procedure for people with DCIS with microinvasion besides mammogram if you still have one remaining breast. Ms. Sas?

Oh, Owlettes - just a quick pop-in to say HootieHoo! (Whose line did I steal?)
I'm o.k., but tired. We all know what worry does to our minds and bodies. DH was my rock through BC, but he never had to see me go through Chemo. (I dodged that bullet.)
Now he receives his experimental drugs for his kidney disease in the Chemo Infusion Room in Oncology. (It' a 4-6 hour drip.) It's surreal being back there. 2016 is my five-years-out.
He's doing o.k. on the drug, very tired and weak some days, and kidney function is going down. We won't see results for a while.
But our problems seem so small compared to what we see around us every Friday at the hospital. This experience will change him forever. For all the prayers and support we have gotten from family and friends, some of those undergoing Chemo desperately need OUR prayers and support.
Last week they were so backed up with Chemo patients, it was two hours before they started his drip after the needle was in. Every single chair in two rooms was full. Every single patient was different. Some had family members and friends with them, others did not. I hope they had some waiting for them when they were done.
Honestly, I had a pretty good idea of what was involved, being here on BCO so much as I was going through my own dx, but I never had to sit in that chair. This experience has changed me, too, and I just wanted to say here that more than ever, those of you who got - and are getting - those treatments have even MORE of my love and respect. So there!
Love y'all.... hope those in the cold zone are staying warm, and those in the warm zone are not bragging too much.
Praying that those who are facing health and other challenges will find relief, and those who are doing well will continue to do so.
I miss these page-after-page discussions!!!
xoxoxo

Morning all. I am off to the hosp this afternoon for the annual visit to BS. Yaaaay!
Reminds me of a lady who posted the most hilarious thing on the YKYACPW Thread (You know you're a cancer patient when...)
It was "YKYACPW your sex life is so non existent that you actually look forward to being felt up by your oncologist."
So, so funny because no-one in their right minds (with or without a sex life) actually looks forward to getting felt up by a medical professional.
So yaaay! Todays the day!!

Whose birthday is it today?
Chevy- I am working with a couple companies for my project whom are located up in Denver. I heard about the big parade. Party on my friends to the north! I wish I were there too! I know a lot of folks in Denver (a lot of people from NM are moving up there with the better job scene).

I heard there was a credible bomb threat there, but most of the crowd was gone when police did the bomb sweep.
