INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Just saw that Westminster 2016 is on. It's the first night of the show apparently.
sas - After I posted my Joey stories earlier I went and called the breeder like I said, and she told me that her dog Kyleigh might be pregnant, but it's too early to know for sure and she'll let me know when she knows. Kyleigh is a wheaten color and the stud (Duncan) is a brown/carmel/gray brindle looking color. So I'll keep you posted.
Love the stories you shared about Max. Those guys sure leave an imprint on our lives don't they? Joey used to love to eat poop when I'd take him for a walk. It totally grossed me out, and I'd take him straight home and brush his teeth. Ugh!!!!! Then when he was 7, he developed a bladder stone and had to have surgery. He was in so much pain that he literally had his paws wrapped around my neck as I drove him to the vet. Then when he was 10 he AGAIN ate something disgusting off the ground and developed pancreatitis. Both those episodes were quite expensive adventures.
Jackie was a terrier/poodle mix and she was also a great dog and she suffered her whole life with irritable bowel syndrome. Probably from trying to survive in the desert where she was dumped as a pup. She was a joy to have as well.
O.k. hopefully I haven't completely bored you with my dog stories today.
Besides you, Lover, Susan and I it seems rather quiet here today. I hope everyone else is doing o.k.

Ms. Sas, you and Hiho ratted me out. Just like to mess with innocent newbies. You sure know your dog breed. Yes, that was a Mexican Hairless....still better looking than hairless cats ughhhh.
Ok JunieB, this is the pic of the dog Ms. Sas was talking about and the responses of the two innocent victims.

The rest of the ladies kept quiet behind the scene, I am thinking maybe becathey didn't want to hurt my feelings.

Oh dear, is that my lost twin on the clouds?

for Sas...saw this today and thought of you.0 -
Is sas the only one who gets to wear sassy pants?

Lover - you truely are a sly one. Messin with the newbies. Hah! Just you wait missy. LOL Yikes, that poor little dog needs a serious makeover. Who do we call to set that up?

sas - how was Westminster tonight? I had to do laundry so I missed it.
teka - I seem to have missed something. Which post of MsChevy's are you referring to? Oh well, I'm glad you're not miffed at me.
Goodnight, sleep tight ladies and tomorrow is another day to play!

"JazzyJuneBug,
I am not offended, and made a biggg mistake feeling the need to respond to Chevyboy post.
"Teka, I am sooooooooooo lost! I don't have a clue or the memory to even think about which post you meant. If I said something, you all know I would never say anything to make any of you feel bad... Maybe I shouldn't tease so much.... I know you deleted some posts, but I don't know what those were even about.... I apologize also... for whatever.....

That's it? I was thinking about OUR x next-door neighbor.... The one who had a grow-house in his basement, with the Great-Dane, and the super-charged Corvette that he had to rev the engine up to 1000 RPM's! The only thing GOOD about him was his dog....

I grew up with a female Collie, she was so beautiful and smart. I can see how you trained your puppies so well. She was a wonderful companion and except for biting off the heads of the peonies and playing ball with them she was a good girl. She would even carry a dog biscuit in her moth to the next room to be given the "okay" to eat it.

(((((((((((((PATTY))))))))))))))) we all thought you went to Essex for Valentine's day.
Ginger, would love a Collie now too. But wouldn't be up to the grooming. Your absolutely right she taught me so much. It did pique my interest when I saw the smooth Collie at Westminster last night.
Did you see my post of the different things that need to be ruled out re: your Orthostatic Hypotension? It's not just a matter of getting up slowly in increments. The cause of the problem needs to be identified. Dear friend, get thee to a cardiologist. Standard PCP whether Family practice or Internists aren't qualified to do the full workup. HUGS

Hello ladies,
What a glorious day. The sun is shining (for now) and the buses are running again, so I'll be off to town in a bit.
Patty - so glad to see you back. Sorry you're felling bad. Hope you get better quick.
Till later
0 -
Oh, Patty. We were hoping you would get a chance to get away. Rest well, Dear Sister.
Ms. Ginger, please take Ms. Sas' advice. If it's the medicine that is causing the orthostatic hypotension, it should be an easy fix (hopefully). But, you do need to see a doctor to rule out more serious problems.
Ms. Sas, most of us are "genetic soup"(interesting phrase, btw). Did you have tecnical difficulty with your body this morning?

Loverly, Kinda Shoulder is painin awful. I was laying on my back typing cockeyed.
0 -

Patty, thanks for the post. You know we worry about you.
Sas, sorry the shoulder is aching. Shoulder pain is the worst. I have had both worked on. Do not want to have to go there again. My friend, can not believe I am back playing golf & tennis. Why take the risk, she says? Ah, love tennis. Golf is a far second, but very social. Are you wearing a shoulder sling for comfort? it helps, takes the weight off.

awwww Patty, I know you were so looking forward to getting away. Better now?
0 -
Patty, so sorry you weren't able to get away. I know you were looking forward to it. Maybe an impromptu getaway is in your future where you can wear 👠, 👑, 👙and 💄.
Susan, hope your DH is feeling better.
Mags hasn't been on for a week. Hoodie hoo Mags. Hope all is well
Welcome to the newbies.

Kath, I was wondering about Mags too. Are you having technical difficulty too, Mags? Ok, I have a question. Why does everyone refer to Magdalene as "Mags" instead "Mag"??
Ms. Sas, sorry about your shoulder. Is it the same side you fell on last week? You need a massage?
Hiho, I know what you mean about tennis. A friend of mine told me I should lay-off playing badminton because of the possibility of worsening my hip problem, but do I listen? It gives me the endorphins and helps me with my stress. So I take the risk.

Sas - sorry to hear about your shoulder. Is it the rotator cuff, bursitis? I have an issue with my right rotator cuff. Yesterday after doing the laundry I did some ironing and it really flared up my shoulder. I used a gel called Bio-freeze that I got from my physical therapist and it really helps. There is also a naturopathic cream called "Traumeel" that has arnica in it to help with sprains, strains and bruises. The biofreeze is the least expensive though. These combined with Lover's suggestion for a massage is great.
Patty - sorry you didn't get to go on the weekend with your hubby like you'd planned.
Lover - sometimes it's hard to do the things we know we should, especially when it involves something we really enjoy. Do you play badminton just with your family or on a team.
I am going to California at the end of March to celebrate a friends' 60th birthday. Redding is approx. 6 hours from me and I want to make a Lemon Cheesecake w/ a blueberry compote for her . Any ideas on how I can best transport it so it stays chilled and doesn't fall apart?
Also, hello Ms. Chevy, Teka, Spookie, susan3 and Holeine.
Off to bed now. I have to go to the Onc tomorrow for some bloodwork to see if my WBC's are high enough to start my next round of treatment.
Hope you all sleep well!

good morning. Thanks for the well wishes all. I love y'all. Feeling a lil better since 3am. Just nothing sounds good tobeat. Haven't eaten in 3-4 days but keeping the fluids down. Dh brought me some choc covered strawberries on friday for valentines by I think they are too mushy now. Boo. Trying to find some energy. Scares my family to see me sleep for days. Scares me too. Routine has been sleep and sleep more. Get up with the alarm for when boys gets home and et up right to see them for a lil then back to sleep. Boo. Yesterday I actually cooked frozen pizza and had itvreasdy when they got home from school. Complete exhaustion. Feel asleep as soon as they finished. Standing strong in my belief that this will pass SOON.
Hugs to all

JJ I love Biofreeze too, but can be hard to find, and kind of pricey. I found this at Walgreens, I think I like it better!DD has been using after her car accident her ortho approved it.

Patty- sorry you have been so tired. I hope you can find something to eat that tastes okay and can stay down.
Susan- I loved anything stuffed olives. Blue cheese stuffed olives are my favorite. Did you get heartburn from all the garlic?

Oh Chevy she's wonderful.........Thanks

HI1 (Junie, Loverly) yes a sling would likely help. I fell on it on the 12th xray negative. But the aren't always accurate. MRI ordered, but she ordered the wrong thing. Shoulder only , instead of shoulder & humerus. I agree shoulders are the worst. But I keep saying this could be worse. It could be my dominant side. It will pass in time. At least the humerus. I'm sure they're is a hairline fracture below the capsule. And a few ligament tears. It's not stable. Snap crackle pop, and movement where it shouldn't. HI1 how long after your injuries did you have surgery? If you weren't playing tennis or golf could you have gotten along without surg?
