SUSAN, I screwed up. I missed the 16th. What happened with the kids. Did the match come? Details. Have they told you yet. Holding it as a surprise? Chicago pleasepleaseplease. I think that was the closest. Seems to me they liked him in Nebraska.
Susan & Quennie great pic
Smarrty, just loving Evie's pics.
Lookie thanks, hope I didn't blow it in anyone's direction. Remodel starts Monday? YAY what fun. Remember to get before and during and after pics.
Patty, probably should let your MO or PCP know. Sorry wasn't thinking when I first read your post. Even if you don't have symptoms. Safety thingy.
Mags did you get better?
Helloooo Cubbie

Ginger hope you are surviving the move and your back isn't killing you. Found this about the Shirley temple pitcher
"In 1934, General Mills Inc.,, the maker of Wheaties, contracted the Hazel Atlas Glass Co. to manufacture a cobalt blue Shirley Temple breakfast set. There were a milk pitcher, mug and cereal bowl, all with Shirley's grinning face and ringlets.
The items were made of pressed glass, and each cereal bowl had a honeycomb pattern along the side. The inscription on the bowl read "Hello Everybody," with Shirley Temple's name printed below. The company
also offered a Shirley Temple mug as a premium with a purchase of Bisquik. The Hazel Atlas Co. made the breakfast sets until 1942. Due to Shirley Temple's enduring popularity, many reproductions of the dishes exist, so you must watch out if you plan to collect other items. Your two cereal bowls are worth $80."

Duncan miller teardrop. 25cents. Pic doesn't really show how sweet it is. 1936-55. It's going to live in a very modern house.

My week was.....I have gotten this far. I had a tooth aches starting on Thursday and none of the dentists were working on Friday and got in on Monday. It was not good except thank God that there are Dentists to help us. My lower teeth were all crown or bridges, About half had live root. Note the past tense. Did you know that the metal post in a root canal can bond with your bone, YOUR BONE!!!!!!! Now I have no lower teeth ayt all. I was in the chair for 7 hours. After the extractions the bones had to be clippped down to make them smooth, again, my BONES. If you must drink Gatorade during chemo do not drink the sugared version. Under all those crowns was decay and broken off crowns. So I am on day 4 of Codeine.
For Tuesday we we moved half of our things to our new house.
For Wednesday we moved the other half of the house.
Thursday, today DH went back to house to supervise pro carpet cleaner and house cleaner. He brought back all the things that had been left behind like garbage cans, my shower chair, stuff, cook ware in hidden nitches..
I did all this from bed or the recliner under the influence of drugs and with no bottom teeth. I told my Granddaughter, I only have to brush half of my teeth now! I only live two blocks from my DGD now so that makes all of this good. The dogs are thrilled to have their own yard now to run and chase.
So that's my story.
Hugs Ginger

Hey Owlettes! Getting close to midnight and not a bit sleepy. Had meds over an hour ago. DH and I leave in the morning for a weekend in Branson with our St. Louis friends, it's about halfway between us and they have a timeshare. We have tickets for Ripleys and two shows, afternoon and evening, on Saturday, drive home after lunch Sunday.
Sassy, I ran across some of the Shirley Temple blue glass when I was hunting HA on the phone with you. Nice set. Now, you and Donnie be good and get better and don't pass it back & forth like we do here.
Smaarty, Evie has such pinchable cheeks! I thought of you the other day when I saw the cutest little swaddle with an owl face. She would be even more adorable. It was knit – that's Susan's wheelhouse, right? If I come across it again I'll save it to post.
Susan and Queenie, y'all look wonderful. Always a treat when Owlettes meet.
Sensi, I got official dx 4/16/14, had MRI, met with surgeon, had PET, met with MO 5/18, bmx 5/21. Didn't meet RO until after chemo.
Patty – SIXTY DAYS??? Isn't that illegal? I don't think even big Alice got 60 days in the slammer last time. And don't you dare catch DSs cold, or Sassy's flu!
Lawsy me! I declare I take a few days off and you gals just fall apart! Now you new gals best not take after them! We just have to take care of each other, don't we?
See you when I get back!

Mags enjoy your weekend , sounds like fun, especially with friends.

Can't sleep either Mags. I went for a walk tonight before dark and came home to crash. Falling asleep too early never helps me sleep through the night! I hope you get some rest too.
Queenie and Susan- great photo! I hope you had fun together! You both look great!
Cubbie- hi friend, hope the computers finished doing their thing and you are resting well tonight.

Morning Whew, maybe it's gone. Just when I think it's gone it kicks my butt again. Donnie's more on the mend then me. I swear he has the strongest immune system I have ever seen. His last slice into his thumb pad that I swore needed about 10 stitches. He bandage with electrical tape. Worked in dirt all during the healing. . Never got red. Most beautiful non keloid scar. Hardly visible.
Jazzy, Cubbie read the Second Sleep link in the topic box. It really is fun. Before the light bulb. People would go to bed at dark. Wake up at midnight or so, then do all kinds of things by candlelight. Even go visiting to other folks homes. Then they would go back to bed several hours later and get up at daylight. It was considered normal. Social historians rediscovered this practice in the recent past. They are trying to decipher it's significance and history. What we consider insomnia, may just be a built in normal thing.
Mags have fun YAY roadtrip.

Ginger I am so sorry. Hugs to you.
Sas, we find out today, in about 3 hours. I have Valium with me..shhhhhhhh. In case they have to move far away I want to scream yeahhhhhhhhh, instead of cry. Valium makes me believe everything is just perfect.
Took it once during a panic/ anxiety attack...it was real real bad. 20 minutes after the Valium, I felt wonderful and decided to go shopping. Oh boy, the things I bought .....the things I returned. Everything looked good in the store...lol. So I am prepared . Don't want the kids can to feel horrible if I start crying.

Junie, whoopiehotiehowyayexcitingmeantfromheavengloriousnewscan'twaitwhatwonderfulnews. Did you call her or did she call you? She didn't mention if they have a granny cam that you can be glued to for the next 6-8 weeks? So happy for you Junie, new puppies are so exciting.
Susan, hope you didn't have to take the Valium. You can't believe the restraint I'm using in not picking up the phone. So not going to bust in on a family moment. But OH MY,
For anyone that forgot or doesn't know. What Susan is waiting to hear is where her Son-In-law has matched for a pediatric residency. It's called the Match. All medical students go through it this time of year. It's huge for them. They've finished undergrad and medical school. 6-8 years depending on where they went to school. They rank the residencies they'd like to get accepted by. The residencies rank the prospects by who they want. It all goes into a computer. Then the announcements come out. Nail biting time. The ideal is to get one of your 3 top picks. This is way bigger than getting your college pick.
0 -
Yep, The Match is WAY THE BLEEP bigger than college picks. I'm chewing my nails too! (haven't heard from Ms. Susan3 either)
And guessing I'm never ever gonna live down "getting lost" on the way to the restaurant. Next time I'm asking Which one!

Waiting for the ( hopefully good) news too.
Nice picture of you two. Queenie, you still have the punk rock hair and Susan, love that smile as usual. And how in the world did you end up in the wrong place.....oh never mind.
Baby Evie does have pinchable cheeks. Showed the pic to DD and she couldn't believe Evie is 2 months.
Ms. Wren, whether you volunteer for people or animal shelter, you still have my respect and admiration. Not an easy thing to do in my opinion. Don't know how you manage not to take all of the animals home, especially the ones that takes a long time to place.
Ah Ms. Ginger, I feel like a wimp now with my head cold and possible sinus infection. Moving is so stressful already. Throw in the back and mouth pain is just not fair. Thank God for pain pills. Hugs
Mags, have a safe trip. Hopefully, your body will not protest with the car ride. You can't stay away too long. We do fall apart when not all of our sisters are here.
Forward, best wishes on the renovation...how exciting!
Sensi, my first appointment with my surgeon was about one week after dx. Surgery was 3 weeks later.
Ms. Sas, I sent a pm to Mema. Poor thing. Hoping the new med works. Can't imagine being in the pit that long.
JunieB, for a split second I thought we had another immaculate conception. Haha! Had a bit of energy this morning so I helped Dd2 finish up the last layer (3) of the jello. She is in charge of birthday treats for the kids in her youth group at church. They meet every Friday night at for fellowship. It's a good responsibility for her. She is a very giving child. Got to pluck myself out of the recliner to go to her school for lunch. It's a "bring your parent to lunch week".
Hello Cubbie &Jazzy ,and hugs to my lurking friends

Lover: "punk rock" is a kind way of putting that. I swear I do brush my hair
Ginger: now clutching my mouth in sympathetic anguish for you. (I have what might politely be described as interesting dentition, though not as extensive as yours.)
