I too had mammograms every 6 months for a time ??? but not sure as I think there was something else they couldn't get a clear picture of for some reason and eventually they determined that it was not an issue that one had to be concerned about. For many, mammograms don't always "see" the problem. Mine found the extremely slow growing cancer -- but only best seen by ultra-sound and completely missed the other cancer growing near which was much bigger and totally aggressive. Only during surgery ( lumpectomy ) was the second cancer discovered and removed at the same time as my slow growing ( papillary ) cancer. I was scheduled ( if reports on my condition had stayed the same ) for maybe a week of radiation and no chemo at all. Instead it became 6 months of chemo ( fairly heavy-duty ) and 7 full weeks of radiation --- but I'm here so it was the right thing to do. Well, the alternative you know --- so I never much batted any eye and said lets go for it.
It is a bright pretty day here, but cooler now we are apparently through the rain. A couple days of cool, 60's or so, and then back to nicely warmed. I won't say it has been a wild spring though it has for some people, but as seems normal now, things not really happening on time -- and being lighter than normal or harsher. We don't have the in-between that was there before. Sigh !!!

Rita, I usually get out of jury duty because I have a tremor and I shake when I get nervous. That, and, I can't wait for bathroom breaks.
Our toilet broke last night and a friend of mine just replaced it. So now I have to clean the bathroom floor and figure out where to put everything; I had a shelf on the back of the other one and I'm not sure it'll fit. So, I had to call off work today to deal with it. I slept downstairs (working toilet) and it's hard to sleep with a snoring husband and trying to fit 3 cats with me on a loveseat.
Sandy, you are so knowledgeable, it's a little over my head. I called the nurse navigator at my surgeon's office and she asked when's the last time I had a mammo, and I reminded her I just had surgery in Sept. and finished rads in Jan. She'll see the Dr. Wed. and call me back with what they want me to do. It does hurt a bit, so I'll just take some advil.
Today, I have a dexascan. I had one probably about 10 years ago and no one can find records. I'm sure it'll show some osteoarthritis and bone loss on my right side.
Being off schedule and being at home, I don't know what to do first: eat, take a nap or do the bathroom. I think the bathroom wins, so I hope you all have a great day.

2ND20 - the dexamethazone is a steroid. Usually given to prevent inflammation and combat allergies. Everyone I know who has had chemo takes this drug at least the day before, the day of and the day after. You're lucky you got the Emend for nausea. It's a "miracle drug". Good luck w/the chemo

Oh thanks Minus2 for answering R2D2's question! I didn't have a clue about those drugs!
I took a couple antibiotics because I had the MammoSite device implanted, with all those tubes coming out.... Your body doesn't like anything foreign in there! But it all cleared up after they took the MammoSite device out.
Linda... Toilet problems? And our kitchen sink is running SO sloooooooly! Have to take pipes apart underneath.... Tried everything else to break up the clog or whatever....! We don't even use the disposal, because our pipes are so old....
I would LOVE to call in a Plumber, but of course, DH wants to try everything else first.... We'll see.....
Also had a Dexa-scan, after broken hip.... but that didn't show anything wrong with my bones! Falling as hard on cement as I did will SURELY break a bone! But no other problems....

I read on facebook that Puffin caught the same stomach virus that made dh and me so sick last week. She went to the ER. Hope you're feeling better, Puffin.
I visited my mother this afternoon at the nursing home where she's doing rehab. We went to the bingo game and she won two games. $1 for each win! She has been working hard and is making good progress. My younger sister and her dh are planning to transport my mother to her house (mother's house) on Sunday where we will have a family dinner.

Hubby and I have been married 47 1/2 years...we decided to take a trip to Tahiti before we were too old to do such a thing. We were in Papeete, Tahiti for 4 days, then boarded a cruise ship for a 16 day cruise from there, beautiful...the colors of the water was breath taking, visited Moorea and Bora Bora (my Favorite) too.....our cruise ship headed north to Hawaii and that is when hubby & I got sick with chills & fever and a hacking cough, honking cough....we only left our beds and our cabin to eat our 3 meals & 1 snack each day......we missed crossing the Equator ceremony because we were sleeping....5 days at sea and then the big island of Hawaii....saw the volcano and walked through the lava tubes. Honolulu raining and it is Thanksgiving( everything is closed).....road a tour bus around the island......then Lahina, Maui the next day......it was very hot and humid ....then 5 days crossing the Pacific before reaching San Pedro, CA......I remember nothing about those 5 days.....so so sick.... our large balcony at the aft of the ship went unused!
Flew home first class and slept the entire time.....gave hubby my lunch.Next day went to the hospital for a Reclast infusion.....(I have had osteoporosis for 2 years)...my nurse said I should go the the ER to have my cough checked out.
I went to the ER the next day and was treated for bronchitis....I was sick until mid January and this cough started about the 20th of Nov.
Finally started to feel normal again, but weak and dizzy....kept telling hubby "my boat is rocking"
Feb 3 got diarrhea all night....all day & night on the 4th and by the 5th I was very weak and told my husband I was going to die....he took me to URGENT Care and they said I need fluid and wanted me transferred to a hospital. (the hospital I wanted to go to was on DIVERT, they were full)...took an ambulance ride to nearest hospital....test of all kinds, ct scan....at this "HOSPITAL" is only an ER....as the rest of the hospital was being built........another ambulance ride and a "pre-admit" arranged to another hospital. They were waiting when I arrived....there were I believe 3-4 doctors and about 5 nurses around my bed.....one doctor told me I was critical.....everyone was gowning and putting on gloves before entering my roomI had severe sepsis, c-diff, colitis, Acute Kidney Injury......12 days later I was discharged......I am still weak and dizzy....I walk funny, and many of my brain cells must have died..or they gave me STUPID pills.....severe sepsis keeps giving and giving. I lost my independence and hubby has become my "uber driver."
My liver was 20CM more than twice the size of normal woman.....I am worried about that.....I am worried about my my left kidney as I have pain, and I am worried about my andrenal gland as it showed thickening....I am worried about mets, I am worried about getting sepsis again as my odds of dying are higher.
My dizziness continues.....so my ENT did a CT scan and found my right maxillary sinus had a bacterial infection and he believes it is causing my dizziness.....but I cannot take antibiotics (thank you Severe Sepsis) A week and a half ago, I had my maxillary sinus opened and drained, while I was awake, talking to the doctor, the nurse and the tech that operated the "balloon" machine.....this was the BEST "surgery" as I went home wide awake as there were NO DRUGS involved, stopped at the drug store on the way home to get a sinus rinse kit. Feeling less dizzy, (can take up to 6 weeks) but I still walk unsteady, and my size 4P jeans are falling off my body as I have lost 20 lbs since our cruise, and only put back 3 lbs, even though eating 4 meals a day!

Oh my goodness Di. Well welcome back to the Older Women. You know, I don't know where to start. Were you and hubby the only ones who were sick on the ship. Sure sounds like a number of people may have been. Maybe hard to know. Do you know if you had something germinating from the days you spent in Tahiti.
Was the second round of illness directly a part of the chills and fevers your had well before. Well, your in my prayers big time that you get a good handle through good Dr.'s on this and can soon start to relax and put the negative parts of your illness behind you. I so wish though ( if it had to happen at all ) that it hadn't come when you were doing a sort of marvelous bucket list sort of thing.
Sending lots of healthy hopes and healing energies. Give your hubby a big hug from me here and tell him what a great guy to take such good care of you.

Wow -- glad you got to the ER and got some help as well. You have been under such stress --- so many of you women have and I am hoping that everyone can just un-wind ( where possible ) and get lots of sun, Vits C & D, lots of rest, plenty of exercise and a very good nights sleep, and know that you are being cared about so much. I feel almost guilty that I am always well ( as I furiously knock on wood ) and hope no one gets irritated with me for mild suggestions.

I've never puked so hard that I ended up with a sore throat and so hoarse I can hardly talk. The IV zofran they gave me in the ER took care of vomiting, but my stomach is still churning like a cement mixer and if I fart I have to change my underwear. I've eaten chicken noodle soup, a banana, a popsicle and gingerale and feel like a newborn kitten.

My sympathies, Puffin. I had that norovirus a couple of years ago and I was so sick I was afraid I wasn't gonna die--Mother Nature wasn't letting me off that easy. Helluva way to lose 5 lbs

So sorry about all of your liver problems.... and dizziness! But you lost WEIGHT???? That's a heck-of-a-way of doing it...
Sandy, my Mom used to say something like you did.... "I'd have to get better, before I could even die."..... Those virus's are the worst!
I've been on a Merry-go-round with my ears and my Primary Care, Costco and a referral for the ENT to remove a blockage in my left ear! I went to Costco for another hearing test... Couldn't hear even with my hearing aid in! She tried to remove whatever is in my ear... (a small Volkswagon) but she made it bleed... Told me to go to ENT... Nope! Primary Care said come in so I can wash your ear out first...! She TRIED this once.... and ... nothing.... Went to ENT anyway, and he reached in with one of those "grabbers" and removed small car.
THIS time Costco would not give me hearing test... because of that problem! So I decided.... "Okay, if that's how they want to play, I'll just do this myself".... Got out the Debrox oil... softens up stuff... THEN used ear candle... Got out a LOT! I did it again! Got even more.... Same with my right-ear.
This morning I can HEAR with my hearing aids! I'm going to do this a couple more times, and go back to get my hearing tested (hopefully) on the 18th... I think I might need new hearing aids... over 5 years old...
I just want to HEAR!
Oldest Daughter with our Grand-sons coming in a couple weeks, and I would like to HEAR them!
How are your hearing aids Jackie? Do you have that excessive wax problem? It really plays havoc with hearing aids...
Have to finish cleaning up our gardens! Hopefully the snow is over with.

Good Morning,
We have already had some rain, but I am hoping it has stopped and will stay stopped. I am going to Mt. Vernon V.A. today for my yearly check-up very late. Long story -- short version. I was told I needed GYN appt. To get it I had to 'switch' Dr.'s and when I got the GYN check she told me at my age I actually didn't need to have it done. So --- calling back in and trying to go back to the Dr. I was using --- not an easy thing by a long shot.
They wanted to route me to Effingham which is over 50 miles from me to the North. I said no. Then someone here ( regular Dr. ) and again though that was a good alternative for sure, I said -- what is wrong with having Rebecca. They say she is not taking new patients -- and I say, but I am not NEW. I came to her for yrs. and only switched because I was told I needed a check-up that I apparently didn't need --- and so why should I be seen as a new patient here. Finally -- so at last today.
Sunny, I apparently don't build up too much excessive wax though I do have to take my hearing aids apart ( the little tubes ) and clean them every couple of months -- and there is a build-up in them --- but not too bad at all. I go ( or have been ) about once a yr. to see the hearing specialist to be re-tested. This yr. he upped my prescription a bit since sounds were starting to dull. I usually see the Dr. afterwards who always asks if I want an operation to repair the hole in my ear. I haven't bothered as I still would need hearing aids and I don't get my ears wet ( causing infections and ear aches ) so I just don't see the need to have a procedure done. If I had issues -- then I'd consider it.
Not surprised you 'figured' how to take care of your problem and I very glad you will go back and get re-tested because as I found --- over time, if your hearing is not so good, like most everything else, it won't repair itself. It will get a worse likely and adjustments can be made. I don't know if or when they may or may not get new hearing aids for me. I keep feeling that my yr.'s worth of batteries that they send me are no longer lasting a yr. but I have never written down when I re-order. Denver, Co. which is where I get them probably could tell me. I don't know what the actual criteria is for a new set of aids are, but some man I talked to in the hearing clinic says his gets replaced every four yrs. Seems like then, that would make mine replaceable fairly soon --- but I let them tell me how it goes.
Golly --- I hope your winter gets over pretty soon too. Just wow. How long can a wintery spring last, huh !!!!

Hi Jackie- I'm new here but not new to breast cancer- after reading your post it got me thinking to my Gynilogical appointment/ when I tried to book it I was told that since my insurance will only pay every two years I had to wait until next year/ I had a hysterectomy in 2014 and am 68 yrs old next week- do I need a Gynilogical exam anymore? I don't have anything left inside to really exam, or do I- good luck with all of your appointments and have a nice da

Chevy, I had to laugh at you having a plumbing issue and wanting to just call a plumber, but DH wants to try first. I lived my whole adult life with that, except my DH could usually fix it. Mayhave taken a while, but eventually it was fixed. If not, he would find someone he knew to get the job done. I'm laughing because he passed almost 4 yrs ago, but I still am waiting for him to take care of our plumbing problems. We have one toilet that backs up on a daily basis, and every other day or so, the kitchen floor floods between the refrigerator and sink. Our attempts to fix it? My 13 yr old GS is in charge of using the plunger to clear the toilets and in the kitchen, we just throw a bath towel down to mop it up. The sink in the bathroom hano stopper and the door doesn't lock. Thank goodness my son is getting married soon, because that has kind of kicked me in the butt. I am taking a significant amount out of savings to take care of as much as possible.
My daughter has been wanting me to replace the couch and love seat in the family room for quite some time. She said the backs were destroying the walls behind them. I didn't see any urgency to it, until the recliner feature in my spot broke. I said we were going to get new furniture. She was ready to go that day (and we did). But that started me making a list of jobs that needed doing. If you remember, we had repainted all the "public" areas of the house two years ago. I have hated the main color since we did it. I wanted a nice soft tan, instead, we have this awful mustardy yellow. On my list I snuck in repainting those walls, then showed the list to Tracy. She read down to that part, then said "you want me to repainting everything?" I said not everything, just the mustardy walls. She said "wow, I had no idea that you hated them as much as I did". They are now a nice tan color which I have only seen on FaceTime since I am in GA.
It is going to be a busy month when I get home. Besides the repairs on the house, my brother is coming for three weeks, I have Nissa's bridal shower, aNd Anna's baby shower, my son will be down to start his summer camp, aNd his wife will be giving birth to their second daughter - we are all praying that she doesn't have her on June 11th because that is the day of the wedding, and Rob is best man.

PS - Just reading back to Puffin's being ill, then Sandy mentioned roto-virus. Worst virus ever! My grandson, who was 4 at the time, ended up in the hospital for 4 days because of dehydration. Then I got it. Threw up every 15-20 minutes for almost 24 hours. I got so sick, I actually passed out on the way to the bathroom(10 steps from my bed). A few minutes later, my DH told me he and my daUghter were going out to eat. I said "what about me?" And the wonderfully compassionate male that he was answered "you don't want to come out to eat, do you?" If I'd had an ounce of energy, I would have thrown something at him. I just passed out a few minutes ago- what if it happens agaIn?" I said. He said, "we won't be long". I called my other daughter ( the one now in GA) and a few minutes later, I hear her husband calling me from the kitchen. He said he was there, was going to stay inside so he could hear me, but wasn't coming in to the room. It was their son who started the whole thing.

A guy I grew up with.... I graduated with him.... we were neighbors... and I introduced him to my girl-friend, and they married. Had 2 Daughters, about my girls age... Then they divorced... My gal-friend was VERY bitter.... but that wasn't my problem....
He went into a nursing home... smoking.... and it killed him.... He just passed away...... GOD, I just feel so bad.... My other friend Janet, just lost her Husband last week! Same thing.... smoking killed them both.... I know we are "older" but the things we insist on doing, will hurt us sooner or later! I just hate losing my friends.... Geez!

Nana, I had a total hysterectomy too and I really can't fathom why I was told I needed a GYN w/ pap smear --- but since the V.A. takes care of me I wanted to ( do it their way ) and not get a reputation for being difficult. It was a lot of trouble for nothing. The Dr. that did the exam was perplexed -- though she went ahead with it, and the Dr. I saw today said the same thing -- why would you need it -- there is nothing there. So, while I'm not a Dr. I certainly don't plan ( should someone try to encourage it again ) to bother having GYN exams.
Funny story here. The Dr. today ( a lady ) said that she had to offer me an HIV test. I just sort of looked at her and I'm sure the WHY was busting out all over on my face. She said -- if you are sexually active. I said are you kidding me --- last time I walked down the street I got boo'ed. I think I'm really safe on this one.
I too am glad you are feeling a mite better Puffin. The white diet is usually tops for a 'queasy' stomach. Eggs, bananas, mashed potatoes, white toast.
Anne, I just don't think I could keep up with you. You have trips, projects, weddings, baby showers -- when do you find time to brush your teeth, eh ??? I know, just kidding but you really do have so much. I think I've had to cut back on randomity ( word-sp??? ) and have to know what I'm going to do and when and with whom and have it all go TOTALLY as planned or I'm mixed up and backward before I know what happened.
All blood tests were fine -- a couple iffy spots but nothing that needs anything at this point. She didn't like one of my sugar #'s but second one was good. Cholesterol was fine but a bit higher than last time. Sigh !!! I haven't been in for a yr. and a half --- so that likely has something to do with it.
Anyway, I got my referral for the digital mammogram ( someone will call ) and I also got a referral for Podiatrist. I really can't deal with my feet much anymore. During chemo -- I developed fungus in my toe nails ( though I didn't know at first it was due to chemo ) and the two big toes the nails no longer grow. They do on the rest, but the two right past the big toes are thick as can be. I have had such trouble contorting myself to cut them and with the thickness it is extremely difficult. So hopefully I'll be able to go on a somewhat regular basis -- like maybe every three months. Hope so.

Thank you for getting back to me Jackie- one less doctor to see will be wonderful- it feels like I either have a scan or a doctor's appointment every week- oh, that's because I do! The Seroma that was drained is back, ugh- not as swollen or as hard but there- I took the suggestion to take Claritan for the arthritic pain in my shoulder and it seems to be doing something , not as much pain after only a few days- glad about that- it's been raining, cold and nasty all week which isn't doing much for me mentally/ looking forward to next week when the forecast seems a bit better- wasn't expecting winter in May

Toilet is replaced thanks to a friend who only charges for parts and a few hours' time. I'm so glad. I tried to sleep downstairs, but it was hard with 3/4 cats trying to get a spot on the loveseat with me. For me, it's better if I just find someone to hire than wait for DH. It's taken me about 30+ years to learn it (ONLY) LOL.

Jackie, I just got my dexascan and while some Dr. told me I haven't had 1, the hospital found 2 that I had before and put the records together. I see my Oncologist in a few weeks and I'll get the results.
I'm pretty unhappy with our family Dr. or PCP. He doesn't listen as you talk because he's typing into his computer all the time. I'm trying to find a new one for both my dh and me. Hubby went to him to get a referral for an MRI (he went to an acupuncture guy for pain relief, that worked; but the Dr. wanted an MRI). PCP says I can't do that, I have to refer you to a Neurologist; then says I can give you pain medicine (he's a school bus driver and can't take it) or a referral for surgery.
When I saw him, he asks when I'm ready to quit smoking, what am I doing about my weight and exercise. I told him I'm starting the meditarreon (spelling) diet and starting to exercise, then I'll work on the smoking. I can't do it all at once. He says I can give you Chantix or you can do the patch or whatever. I told him I can't do chantix with my other meds. Again, he tells me I can give you Chantix. WTH? He's such an idiot.
I'm starting to look for a new one, but am feeling that one is as bad as the next for PCP. I had a good one, but she left and is not with my hospital anymore.
The breast cancer surgeon didn't call me back today as promised. My right breast is now pink and firm all around, not only where the incision was. I'll call them back tomorrow since it's too late now.
I screwed up a customer's order during Passover. I had 2 customers around the same time and sent a replacement charm to the wrong one. So, now I have to send it to the right one and explain to the other what happened and why I sent it to her. Today, I feel like I'm spinning, and not well emotionally. I'm still a little sad over Prince's death and now that drugs are certainly involved, I am sure that my decision of not taking any drugs after the surgery is correct. I'll work on it through diet and am going to look into some oils, the natural way if I can. Docs are so ready to just write scripts these days and I usually am compliant, but I can't function without sleep or food or if I have a manic episode.
Gotta get the customer's mailing and email address and take care of that.
Hope you all have a good night ... I'm ready for another weekend and it can't come soon enough.
I'm counting down YEARS to my retirement, whether I can or can't - I'm just tired today.

Had my mani-pedi today--the pedi part (every 4 wks) is always stressful. Actually had to take a Norco (don't worry, I didn't drive). You see, I have been getting painful ingrown big-toenails ever since my teen years. I don't wear pointy toes or too-tight shoes, I trimmed my nails straight across (or my nail techs have for at least 10 years). Back in 2003 I had a particularly horrible one on my right foot that sent me screaming to my podiatrist (spoiler alert: he's no longer my podiatrist). He told me he could treat it by training it to grow out over cotton pellets. but it would only come back. He suggested an outpatient surgery to reshape the nail bed permanently so that my nails wouldn't curl as they grew. Well, it was horrendous: the lidocaine shots on either side of the toe were even worse than I'd feared, and I could still feel him digging and scraping as he worked. He could do only one side of one nail per session. While I was lying on the table getting my toe messed with, he had the temerity to ask for my legal advice about a tenant he wanted to evict! Needless to say, I didn't go back to get the other three side nail beds done. And within two years, it had all grown out and my nails started curling again anyway.
So this time it had begun to be really painful about 2 weeks ago, but my nail tech (the salon owner--I don't trust anyone else in the place with my ingrown toenails) couldn't fit me in for an emergency pedi till my regular appt. today. It had gotten so bad that the bedsheet rubbing against it made me want to scream. When I get my ingrown toenails worked on, I dig my fingernails into the seat cushion and try not to scream. Today it was harder than ever before--turns out my nail had begun to get infected. Thank goodness I don't have leg LE (none of my inguinal nodes were removed). It's fine now, but I guess it's Nature's way of making up for my having had a C-section with epidural rather than the drug-free Bradley birth for which I'd trained, or for not getting kidney stones. My toe is fine now.....for the next month.

Chi, I too have gone to pedis, I always say the older you get, the farther away your feet become! I have a great young lady,always does a good job. I have had nail fungus for more than 20 years, better everyplace but the big toes,which are soooo thick, also one toe nail that curls . SHoes are difficult for me too, got a bunion and one hammer toe. Had a friend that had her bunion done and it grew back! She says she won't have it done again! So much for sexy shoes. I do enjoy the pedi too and the pretty nails.
Didn't have the gall bladder surgery, so far so good with no symptoms. As I speak to people seems like no one has their gall bladder, and quite a few have residual symptoms. Gastro said it was up to me, if I have symptoms , see my surgeon.
Still gloomy and rainy here. Going to lunch with a friend, so hope it holds off today.

Good morning,
I feel better after reading others need ( in some cases much more than I ) help with problem feet/toenails. I have some left-over neuropathy but I was feeling a little like what was wrong with me that I could not bend down and work on my own feet. While I'm sure he meant well -- a couple of yrs. ago when I went ( 140 mile rd. trip ) to the V. A. Podiatrist ( though he was quite competent and nice ) told me how I, and making that a huge to my way of thinking CAPITAL I, should be able to do MY feet. Well, it has gotten harder and harder -- so by-passed that hopefully by having my PCP ask for a referral to be given me. There is someone local here that the V.A. approves so the good news --- I could go right here and avoid a long trip somewhere.
Hoping for a good day today ( please no rain, but who knows ) as I missed the weather reports, and there is some sun outside. Not full on, but I'll take what I can get and be happy. Hoping too that the temps start moving up again. I'm ready for that in a big way too.
I also got a pneumonia shot yesterday --- oh my, my, my. She told me my arm would be sore. A bit understated if you ask me, but I'll get by. I have to have anything done --- in my rt. arm ( writing/dominant for everything ) as my lumpectomy/node removal was left side. I had some trouble staying asleep last night, and still fairly sore today but better. I think maybe I'm being wimpish in my older yrs.

Oh do I get frustrated with my kids! My SIL in Ga got a picture last night of our above ground pool in Fl from a neighbor. He got all upset because he had kept it in great shape for years- he owned a pool cleaning business at the time. He says he left in in great condition when they moved to Ga and left Tracy detailed instructions to keep it that way. He seems to be able to ignore that "his" system has needed tweaking in the 6 years since he left and Tracy or I haVe no clue who to call or how to tweak. His also forgets or chooses to ignore the fact that Tracy was in a wheelchair all last summer and the best she could do was have her son throw in jugs of chlorine every week. My DD up here jumped in and said she and her brother needed to take responsibility for the upkeep in that house (at my cost, of course), because it is obvious that I can't handle TraCy any more. I reminded her that I had shown her a to-do list when I first got her last week, and removing the pool and resoddng the backyard was on it. I further mentioned that her husband called me 3 weeks ago and said his pool cleaning buddy was going to come by, clean the pool up and continue coming by till the wedding, so the kids would have it while they are there. He never showed.
Then Nancy called Jamie- the new mom who lives in a warehouse, and Jamie told her that Tracy in a drunk rant last night, said that Jamie is costing her too much electricity doing her laundry at our house once a week, and she can't afford to feed them every week. Which is absolutely not true- it is Tracy and her son leaving their TV's and A/C' on 24/7. And if it were true, I would take cAre of any added expenses. I want them there more, not less. Tracy is so like her dad here. We did our budget on 12 month basis, so we put enough in year round to cover the high summer bills. He still griped every month and every time the air clicked on, he would raise the temp so it would turn off. Hence the individual a/c's in some bedrooms.

Chevy, three of my 5 smoke aNd I cannot understand it. They watched me go through chemo, surgery and radiation, and they just don't seem to be able to take that as a reason to stop. My cancer was random, there is no clear explanation of why I got it and my sister or friend didn't, but there is a proven fact that smoking causes lung cancer. I remember one lady at outr church who died from lung cancer. She threw herself what we thought was a birthday party at the church. It was her good-bye to us. She used to say "you've got to die from something, so if she died of lung cancer she would be fine with that. At the party she stood and said she was so wrong in her reasoning, and if she had any idea how painful lung cancer was, she would never have touched a cigarette. Again, that doesn't click with the kids. I just don't understand.

Last year when we returned home from MN, leaving our camper at Pine Hollow Resort, dh sold his 1 ton truck and bought a used white Toyota Tundra truck. We decided that racing stripes would "dress up" the ultra plain truck. He bought royal blue vinyl stripes from an online company but didn't want to risk putting them on crooked. A man and his helpers are here now doing the job.
DH asked why didn't I get a decorative stripe on my plain white Prius and I may just do that.
We're having a stretch of perfect spring weather which will probably be our last low humidity days before summer heats things up.
Anne, you have to be the most patient and tolerant woman in the world to put up with all the conflict among your kids. The good must outweigh the irritation.
