    Hello all,

Made it thru surgery today, which was almost 6 hours long! I hadn't even gotten around to asking for the toradol block. As my brain hasn't been working. Got to hospital today and surgeon offered a block to help with pain after. Just a little sore as of now. They are giving me pain pills routinely to stay ahead of the game. No lymph nodes taken, as sentinel nodes were negative!

SUSAN - I agree with ANNIEKAY... if the budget doesn't allow for a brand new mattress, a good memory-foam topper might be just the thing.

I got my first Tempurpedic bed in 2001 when I had a shoulder reconstruction, and had to lay in a weird position to sleep. The mattress supported my entire body wherever it landed.

We got a second Tempurpedic bed a few years ago for "the snoring room" which has turned into DH's room since he got so sick.

But our bed at our timeshare is so hard I thought I would have bruises. We ended up buying a 3" memory foam topper, and taking it with us to the timeshare each visit. It feels every bit as good as the real thing, and the cost was under $200. We got ours at Costco.

(And if you put a mattress pad over it, it stays cooler and not so squishy.)

p.s. My brother swears by his expensive "Sleep Number" bed. I'll stick with my Tempurpedic.

Smarty- hog all you want. Loving seeing the baby pics. Evie is growing like a weed!

Susan- little Elena looking good too. I am glad the family will be closer so you can spend more time with them.

Sensitive- glad you made it through the surgery and that the sentinel nodes were negative. Don't be shy about asking for pain medication. Hoping you are out of the hospital soon and resting comfortably as you heal. Pillows on each side if you don't have a recliner will help you during sleep.

Had a very successful day thrifting and I also received back a couple of pieces I gave my brother. I didn't even remember it. But I knew right away it was Cambridge Glass. But chit you know I'm drowning in glass. I took a pic of the overflow areas. They might be here, maybe.

    image

I only have three of the tumblers. The pic I copied this from had the pitcher and 8 tumblers for 225$. Should I tell the brother??????

Cambridge Moonlight Blue Optic 9-Piece Water / Iced Tea Set

    Ask a question

    $225.00

My dad had a saying "Too late, Too smart". Kind of goofy, but it was used to describe something when you figure it out too late. If I had done a thread of glass with the identifiers, I would have a record of what everything is. DUH. OR even if I had made a notebook, OR even run the pics of on the printer( I did for awhile). But I got lazy and I lost the sticky notes and didn't keep up with the printer stuff. OH well.................

Embossed and etched. Perfect symmetry. Of course I can't do it justice. It's absolutely elegant. This kind of etching and embossing is VERY unusual. Oh Vey it'll take work to find it. I find it on Ebay and the seller writes " Neat Clear Glass Compote with Fancy Design, candy dish, etched". Not much help.

Hello! I would like to join this thread as I prepare for my dexamethasone nights coming up this week (and I am a terrible insomniac anyway)! Looking for some levity and some friendship, am I in the right place? ;)

Jazzy, my rock purslane just bloomed a few days ago.

    Belly laughs are contagious.

Ms. Sas, you could open a glassware shop now. Ha!

Sensi, love that sweet face of your boy. Hope you have minimal pain and a quick recovery.

Enerva, I received your succulents! Thanks. Ha!image

I have found new plants I love.

Purple, welcome!! A few ladies here are true Insomniacs. I'm not one. Forward and I like to stay up late and can't get up in the morning.

My brother-in-law and his family from Pennsylvania were staying with us for 4 days. They left early this morning. We also had other family members came over to visit. My in-laws can be loud. The four of us are quiet most of the time unless DH and DD2 watch sports on the TV. Mitzy was so anxious. Her Zen lifestyle was interrupted. She was shedding 2-3 times the amount she usually sheds. She was especially terrified of my nephew (20 months) at the beginning. Kept on barking at the poor boy. Good thing my in-laws also have a German Shepherd so my nephew was not afraid of Mitzy. By Saturday, she let him pet and hug her (with a bit hesitation). Regardless, it was such a sweet sight.

hope everyone had a nice day. This is Evie at birthday party yesterday. She had shots the day before so slept through the party. DGD first MD.

This from my flower bed. It's a nice surprise because this got into the ground late March. And there's 2 more blooms to come.

Purple, love to have you. I'm opposite of insomnia right now. Sleep, sleep, sleep. My avatar is me and my dog. Not creative, but was fast when we found out on Omg TheyFoundACureForStupid that our stuff was appearing on fb. everyone changed names fast. When's chemo?
