JunieB!!!! Where are you? OMD, I hope you didn't get lost looking for that crib blanket! I've been so excited to tell you I "found" something that I misplaced a long time ago. I wasn't looking for it and hadn't even thought about it for quite some time. I was so happy! My first thought was, " I can't wait to tell Junie! She'll think it so silly that I lost this thing in the first place and so silly as to where I "found" it!" But....Marti's been sick, I overdid and crashed,plus I haven't been sleeping.....and now I don't remember what the hey diddly ho it was I found! All I remember is I found SOMETHING. ACK! 😾

PurpleMinion ~ Glad you found us! Awesome you have an endo working with your onc team. Wacky thyroid plus the SE's of meds and cancer can really knock you on your bum. I was on thyroid meds, before cancer dx, for about 7 years after being misdiagnosed with hypothyroid. No fun getting the doses sorted.

Pictures of the doggie please! Mixed feelings on the chicken pox vaccine. My kids all had it and we were glad to think they would never have to suffer with the pox. A few years ago a study was released stating that the vaccine wears off and that those vaccinated as babies should get a booster in their late teens. I wonder if having the actual chicken pox while young is better? Then there would be no worry of re-vaccination? Scary to think of all those ill informed parents who refuse to vaccinate their children at all. Private schools should be accountable for vaccination records - they have to comply with state/federal standards just like public schools. Hoping sweet little Evie stays safe from any and all bad stuff out in the world.BBL.......gotta 10 foot gator to catch! Here he is swimming leisurely in our community's front pond:

Purple have they done Thyroglobulin and autoantibodies? And an ultrasound of the neck?

Sas, yes, I am certain that they have. I couldn't find the specific test results but the endo doc said she did all of those things and she is sure that I have no nodules on my thyroid, and that my numbers are now starting to look better. There was some concern that the thyroid was acting weird becauas of all the contrast dye I've had lately but she really thinks it was the immunotherapy drugs.

Well Hello to Everyone!
First, I need to apologize for disappearing for about 2 weeks I think. Please forgive me! I looked down to see how many pages I'm behind and my jaw dropped. I'll have to go back and catch up. I hope everyone is doing well and had a great Mother's Day.
As I'd said before, I was extremely exhausted due to my blood counts being down & I've been off of the Ibrance for 2 weeks. Also, now my MCH is elevated (I've read that is due to a B-12 deficiency), plus my BA% (Blood Ammonia) is high. Some days have been a struggle to get a shower, get dressed and a meal fixed. The increase in my BA% may be related to my fatty liver disease, but waiting to hear from doctor. I've also had weekly visits with the vestibular therapist. My vertigo was really exacerbated by the low blood counts. Having to use the bus also increases fatigue as well.
These issues, plus trying to get things done before my hip surgery in 3 weeks has been a challenge. I've spent the last few hours updating my medical info on the CareSync website. This is a company that compiles all of a patients medical information & history in one central place. Plus l looked in my file cabinet and found my old Will & contact list, and couldn't remember where I'd put the new one. Thankfully I found that and have shredded the old one. Paperwork is so time consuming and annoying, but so necessary.
Heard from new breeder on Friday-May 13th. She wanted to know if I was ready to take the one male puppy her dog Poppy had had. I was so heartbroken to have to say no. She had originally told me Poppy wouldn't be in heat until May, so that would have meant the pups would be born sometime in July. But, NO! I'm beginning to think that I'll NEVER get a dog. I told her how disappointed I am and because I'm having surgery I could not take the puppy. Poppy will not be bred again for a year. Don't want to wait that long. Hello!, I have stage 4 cancer. While stable for now, we all know that can change at any time.
Shep - How exciting! What did you find? I still haven't found that crib blanket. I found a pair of my glasses the other day and thought " oh cool", then went to put them on, but I already had a pair on. Geeez! How is Marti doing? Yikes! that alligator looks scary. The "No Swimming" sign is an excellent idea.
Sensi - How are you feeling? Did your surgery go well?

Junie, good to see you. Please, if you think you want a wine to catch up----NOOOOOOooooooooo...... elevated ammonia levels are not a good thing, and the worst thing would be to do is drink anything with alcohol. They will be wanting to check liver and kidney function from here to surgery. Could delay surgery. So, sorry about the delays with getting a pup. Bummer for sure.
Smarrty, How did DGS find his friend? What is the dear dogs name? Backstory?

Purple, did you have Hashi's before this started? I think you sad no, but verifying. Plus, if you didn't, serial Thyroglobulins/autoantibodies are indicated. Not that I'm a know it all. I was a good nurse, who had a very nice nickname. It was started by my most respected doc. He would repeat it in front of staff and treat me with great respect. My boss hated it. He didn't even know who she was. Then it caught on it was embarrassing and nice at the same time. Anywhoos, serial TG/aa should be done. Been through it, and had to direct the ENT & endocrins work at finding a solution. Won't go to the end result yet.

the dog's name is Bobby. He came from a rescue group. Story is they think he was thrown from a moving vehicle. Damage leg so had to amputate. He now is with GS and another dog and 2 cats.

Sas - I'm confused, I didn't say anything about wine in my post. Anyway, I do not drink any kind of alcohol. I've even given up soda. All I drink now is my morning coffee & iced tea that I brew with purified water.

Sas - In regards to AnnieKay throwing away her DH, that wasn't the case. I had told her about a product called "Zen Pet" to help calm her Logan. She apparently went to the site and bought it, but then went to 2 other sites and bought some other items. So, she said that since I don't live with her DH, she was gonna throw me under the bus for her spending so much money. Oh Boy!
Also, while catching up on my reading I clicked on the link you posted for the warm & fuzzy thread. On page 2 I saw the pic. of the owls who had taken something and I busted out laughing and got a charlie horse in the right side of my ribs. Toooooo funny!
While I've been reading I've had the T.V. running in the living room on the DLIF channel. It has been playing recordings of people calling 911 with the most outrageous requests/demands. OMG!

I spent the day gardening, just have the flowers to put in. It has been too cold at night to plant them. Last week we had the air on and this week the heat. It was a perfect day to work outdoors, not hot and no wind. I burnt my lips as usual, I put sunscreen on every thing else. I have two baskets with liners in them ready to go, some birds have been pulling them apart to build their nests, I keep moving them and they keep finding them, so in they came. Once they are hung it should be okay. We had a dead tree in the backyard that DH took down this week, his 93 year dad told him he was too old to be doing that, he was not impressed , especially since he just had a birthday a few days ago. I can't stop laughing.
Sas it was a big helicopter , whether anything else was sent I don't know. Hope everything went well with your colonoscopy . You certainly looked tired lol.
Shep no gators here just an over abundance of ants , they are ruining our front lawn. Dh was running around with ant powder, hope it helps.

Ladies I have good and bad news. The good news is that my hair is now 5 inches long and the bad news is I have a mullet. Frankly I don't look good in a mullet.

Sas- Drains are still in and draining slowly. Have an appointment on Monday at 11:30 to get them out. I will be very interested in seeing what the MO has to say once we meet. I'm hoping he/she has the same thoughts as my BS. BS hadn't mentioned the triple negative before (or at least from what I remember). These past 4 months have been a blur. I will have some decisions to make if the MO thinks otherwise, but will cross that road when it comes. Otherwise, still being super lazy. Going for walks and moving my arms, but tire easy. Can't wait till I can drive again, and be even more independent.
Smaarty-Hoping that Evie doesn't get the chicken pox as well. Love the pic of grandson and dog. What areas do they do lawn care? I need to hire someone again eventually for my front yard.
Jazzy-My surgery went well. I'm 8 days out and feeling pretty good besides tiring easily. Pathology came back good and now just waiting for a first meeting with MO, to discuss if any other further treatment will be needed. At only 8% ER positive, BS seems to think that will make me a triple negative and tamoxifen will be out.
If I missed anything, I 'm sorry. Love reading all your posts but hard to keep up. Goodnight all

JazzyJune- good to hear from you and hope everything can come together for your surgery. I can see you are sad about missing out on getting a puppy. I hope the perfect dog will be there for you when you are past this procedure and feeling better.
Sensitive- I am glad you are on the mend and hope you get some good direction from the docs on anything else you need to do.
Smarty- your GS and the pup together both with a missing a leg is touching. They will help each other in so many ways.
Lookingforward- oh no, not a mullet! Is there a salon that helps cancer patients with hair issues in your area? My sister did chemo and her stylist had experience with the hair growing back in after chemo and helped her to get back to a style she wanted. It must feel good to have the hair growing out.....

We have bipolar weather here in Northern California also. I would love to have thunderstorm at night while I am in bed under my cozy blanket. I miss the thunderstorms we often got when I used to live in Louisiana. I know it's weird. I love rainy night too. I don't miss the flooding though.
Forward, wasn't the mullet in style back in the 80's? Would love to see pic of your garden when you are done. I would spend more time in mine if allergies wasn't so bad.
Ms. Smarty, Nick looks so happy and the pair is such a sweet sight. Hope Evie is spared from the chicken pox. Her immune system is not mature yet.

JunieB, HAPPY to see you. Was a bit concerned becaused of the side effects of the Ibrance you were having. I am troubled by the fact that the ammonia level is elevated. Your liver is taxed. Praying for right timing for surgery and that doc can get your ammonia level down soon. Sorry about the not so good timing for the pup. Hugs
Ms. Sas, mom is still with us physically, but mentally only less than half of the time because of her depression, migraine, and insomnia. It makes me sad when she is in the pit. I believe she might be suffering from bipolar disorder. She has all the signs and symptoms, but NO we don't talk about that because it's a social stigma. I just treasure her good days. I feel bad for Dad. Mental disorders, like cancer, not only affects the patients, but also their loved ones. As far as the pfffit, it was just last Tuesday. Cramps and bright yellow you know what, and then finger size💩 I think that was food related and cumulative stress. All tests came back normal. Ultrasound was also normal. It might be food related. I need to be more disco pants ( that was supposed to be disciplined)...,darn autocorrect. Oh, two of us four girls have 50% of mom's look.
Jazzy, big Sis, are you still doing yoga? Oh how I wish we lived closed by so I can join you with the yoga. My Mitzy has learned two yoga moves.
