I think it is quiet because: spring! Maybe people are outside enjoying the weather? Here it is 39 degrees so I don't know what all the fuss is about but I hear it's spring somewhere...

When we were kids, Dad often reminded us something similar to this.

Thank you, Susan. I need to eat more of the sauerkraut...,like maybe daily. As long as I don't pfffit with cramps, I am good. I am grateful it doesn't happen frequently. 70 is perfect!!! Have a blessed day!

Good Morning Owlies. Craziness here. Working on an IRS problem. Also, a ticket. First in 30 years. This is for the cat people :)

    Good morning Ladies,

Loverly - A boob Tube is a television. I'm not sure why/where the term ever came from, but I just remember hearing it as I grew up. When I read your question I laughed because the irony of where we are posting dawned on me.

Glad you tummy is pretty much normal. The probiotic is a great idea. I use one with live bacteria from Garden of Life. It has to be kept in the refrigerator. iherb sells it on-line and they ship it in a container packed with ice packs.

Sas - Whew, the IRS. So frustrating. Sorry for your stress.

The palliative care NP gave me some printed info yesterday (27 pages), and I read it last night. It was an article on cancer related fatigue issues and the causes (i.e. polypharmacology, depression, pain, lack of exercise/immobility and some others). Very interesting since all of my bloodwork is good right now. I do know though that depression isn't one that really affects me.

I slept well last night, so the plan for today is to take the bus out to Costco to get a couple small things and back home. So we'll see how my energy holds out.

Temps here today are chilly and rainy. So should've gotten that umbrella the other day when I was at the store. Well the upside is I won't melt.

Have a good rest of your day, maybe I'll make it back this evening

    Quick "hello"......Happy Thursday!

Loverly ~ Ah, you know me well :) Suspecting Dementia Dog buried my mind in the back yard.

JunieB~ It's true! I really can't remember what I found :( So, so glad your blood work is right where it should be. Happy ((hugs)) ! Fibro and bone mets are a bad combo for fatigue. If I didn't live on the opposite coast, I would come and drive you to Costco. You could remind me to stop at the red lights and warn me when I get too close to something. (just a wee delay in reaction time from meds) We could dine on samples from the food ladies and enjoy Costco's yummy frozen yogurt with berries when our shopping was done :)

Sas ~ Can't help you with the feds. If you were in my neck of the woods/beach when you got your ticket I could have hooked ya up.....

Gotta run and throw myself together and pretend to have been productive before FFH gets home from work. Bless his heart.

    BBL

What's wrong with the picture? She needs her travel pillow. Mommy, are you seeing things??

JunieB, that's funny. I bought the same probiotics, but from Vitacost instead. I notice that I am a bit queasy after taking it. I forgot you have fibromyalgia. It makes sense now. Yeah, I wish I lived close to you and ShepK too. I would definitely NOT let her drive. Our hearts might end up in our throats and fingers stuck on the dashboard by the time we arrived at Costco. I don't have delayed reaction, but the opposite (I overreact). We would get to our destination in half the timeLoopy

Ms. Sas, bummer bummer. We had to pay IRS $17,000+ last year because DH made a mistake on the 2014 tax formShocked

Oh my goodness! That is so funny, I had to look a few times too!

Shepk, you sound a lot like me! My DH tells me to go anddo wonderful things every morning on his way out the door. Then he asks what wonderful things did I accomplish when he walks in the door. Too funny ๐Ÿ˜œ

Whew, end of the week, thank God. Worked on site today for my client and there longer than expected. Catching up on stuff. Glad to be home away from that for a few days. Bring on the weekend!

We have had huge swings in temps this week. Tues and Wed it felt like winter again with highs in the 50s and snow up on top of the mountain here. Winter came back AGAIN! We got some good moisture via rain, and my gardens are grateful. Today it was mid 80s and actually pretty warm out there. Go figure this May weather.

Jwoo- sorry to hear of your troubles and wishing you better days sister.

Ummm...where is everyone??? Y'all waiting for a catalyst? The room is too quiet.

Jazzy, my rock purslane is still blooming.

I read that the spent flowers stark should be pruned to promote repeat bloom.

My Dd2 has swim competition tomorrow. It's sprinkling here. I hope the wind will not pick up and temperature will not drop below 70 when the kids compete . Brrrrr

Got to go clean. We have smart phones. Someone needs to invent a smart house, so it can self clean when it's dirty/messy.image

    YEAH..

Oh, there you are Jazzy! We should have 5 offdays and 2 working days. This weather is good for the plants, but not my hip. I need to give it more credit for the prediction in changes in the barometric pressure. Was wondering why it started aching on Wednesday. Now I know. Grateful I am not in pain. Hope you have a blessed weekend.

hi all, gotta a "foam' topper for the bed. Thanks for all the advice..was way cheaper than a new mattress and my hubby is sleeping like a baby..no twitching or anything. I am comfy too :)

Nice weather here today. I think its finally summer. yeahhhhh

Loverly- yours is beautiful. I want mine to bloom forever! But when it stops, I will prune it back!

I found some outstanding asian lilies at Lowe's tonight on the way out from my client site. More on that tomorrow.

Note to self, when you cannot sleep, movies like Poltergiest are not the best to watch when trying to get back to sleep. Loopy

Loverly - Very good question about why the house can't clean itself. Now a days you can use your smartphone to lock/unlock the door, turn on the coffeemaker, turn off the water faucet, T.V., well you get the idea. Plus, ther's that little vacuum called Roomba I think that automatically vacuums the house. Now they need to invent something to do the dishes, laundry, clean the oven, dust, and so on.

Shep - No offense, but while I'm sure you'd be a hoot to go shopping with, I think I'd prefer to leave the driving to Loverly.

Aren't neck pillow supposed to be more colorful? Took me 3-4 times of reading your post about Dementia Dog burying your mind in the backyard, but it finally dawned on me.

Jazzygirl - Hope you get to rest or do something relaxing this weekend to de-stress. It is rather chilly here too and will be for the next week. Hopefully next weekend will be nice for Memorial Day.

19 days until surgery. Geez! the time is flying by. I've got so much to do before. Want to thoroughly clean and wash blankets, quilt & rugs too.

Susan - Glad you got a topper that is working for you & DH. Nothing like a good restful nights sleep.

And on that note I will bid you all a goodnight, sleep tight, sweet dreams.

JunieB ~ OMD! I am sooo fun to shop with! Here's some pics of the last time my wild 'n crazy MIL and I went to Wal-Mart. Just because we were there does't mean we had anything to do with what happened.......

    imageimage

Jeez, you wouldn't believe how grumpy the employees get when you try to snap a few pics before evacuating for the fire!

It was such a fun time! I drove us in my Jeep through floodwaters that were over my tires. Any excuse to go 4 wheelin'.....and "puddle jumping" is my all time fave. And we even got to see firemen :)

wren...viscofresh....2 inch topper. Every time I change positions.without topper, I moan to myself. When I finally get in a good position, I gotta go to the bathroom. Go figure. Had no problem, no pain, switching positions last night. It is really nice. This one got great reviews and 5 stars.

Morning all. Enjoy the summer day...we actually have another one today. Yeahhhhh. And I only work 2 hours, so I can be out in the sun today. Fun fun

    Good One Jazzy! :0)

Shep - You ARE having technical difficulties. The pics you tried to post are showing up as blank boxes. I don't know why though. Four Wheeling? Maybe I'm just to practical or really like to avoid extra pain. Doesn't that hurt your spine and everything else, bumping along through those mud puddles?

So who DID start the fire and were the firemen handsome?

It is now 2:45 p.m. and I am still in my jammies. I need to design my quilt label and email it to the lady who will be doing it. Then I don't know. Been watching/listening to the local PBS station and the "America's Test Kitchen" show showed how to make a really creamy & tasty mushroom bisque. YUM! They began by microwaving the 3 types of mushrooms to get the excess moisture out. I don't own a microwave. Not gonna buy one either.

Well off to getting my part of the quilt label done.
