Good morning, afternoon, and evening!

Lori, the above video is good to watch. Sorry the anxiety attack has arrived. My experience was the opposite. Major anxiety attack right after the news. Lost weight because I could not sleep or eat. A few days before surgery, I had this unexplainable peace. I think it was because a lot of people were praying for me and also because I had the sweetest and most compassionate surgeon. I wish you have this peace. Hugs
JunieB, I have only ordered the probiotics once from VitaCost. My younger sis has more experiences with them. Have not heard her complains about them yet. Sorry for the stress of not very good service.
Ms. Sas, thank you for caring. The next time I get the bright yellow stool, I will request to see GI doc. So far I don't remember having one this year yet.

Thank you Smaarty, Sas and Loveroflife! I tried to download the video but no luck. We live out in the boondocks and not much bandwidth here! NOOOOO! I'll go to the library later and watch it. Headed to the toradol thread. Thank you again!

I talked to my daughter for 30 mins or so and I feel much better! Serena knows how to make me laugh and relax. I'm still feeling relaxed so far and hoping it lasts for awhile. If not I'll call her back :-)

Smarrty, I put this thread together in March. The topic box explains all the particulars how to use each post. Post #3 is the hook post. I've posted it since March. Previous to that it was a different post to the surgical group in Feb, maybe jan. I forget what I did before that. The composite thread should work well. Dr. V's video is such an excellent introduction. It's almost like he took all our concerns from last summers work and answered them in the video.
I have some concerns though, the biggest being that I continue to remember to do it each month. I could ask that it become part of the template they transfer from month to month. But I looked at the viewing numbers for each item on the template and for the number of years x's the amount of gals listed for each month, the template items aren't getting much viewing traffic. So, I chose to do it by the hook post.
Actually, you could help
. Give it a read and let me know what you think.Thanks.https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/73/topics/843381?page=1#idx_6

Well, I've done it. Since I recently joined Facebook I decided tonight to reach out and send my half-sister a message to see if she is open to becoming acquainted. So now all I can do is wait and see.

JunieB ~ Ahhh, I was wondering if you were going to contact her! I didn't want to ask but I have been wondering
Reaching out through FaceBook will allow you two to communicate at a pace you are each comfortable with. What a fun distraction to pass the time during your recovery! Saying a little prayer sis will become a positive part of your life. Hope your surgery prep is winding down and you can relax a bit before the big day. Tumeric was suggested to me years ago but I never tried it - kept forgetting - what strength and how often do you take it? I take Culturelle as my probiotic. Each pill is individually wrapped in foil and is supposedly the same quality as the type that needs refrigeration. That is sooo bad you spent all that money and the company didn't properly protect your order. Have you been able to contact a a supervisor? Jeez, you have enough things to worry about right now! Wonderful that the church lady apologized. You handled yourself as a true lady. That woman should be ashamed. I can't promise I won't share any more creepy crawlies - I will try to warn you though

Wenchie, Look back three posts, to the post I wrote to Smarrty. The thread is what I'm calling a composite post. The "Hook" is Dr. V's video. Rather than rewrite what the other posts mean read the topic box. It's one stop shopping. It has all the connecting links to all the research. Your doc can reach all the research from the one thread. For you, the most important research articles are Dr. Forget's and Dr. Retsky's research b/c they are directly related to your upcoming surgery.
The Toradol topic box is overwhelming with links. There was no other way to do it. It is logical LOL. The final step was to connect Fallleaves, and 123JustMe and my thread. It was a round robin thingy. The way it's put together allows anyone searching to get to all the other current info. But it explains why I did the composite thread. The intent of the composite thread was to allow someone that is a non researcher to have info that should at least be discussed with their doc and keep's it simple.
Now in saying that, I wonder about "Round Robin", I knew what it meant when I asked them to do it, and Falls and 123 knew. But it's a strange saying.
How do you get through this stuff.........put your head down, shoulder forward, and pussssssh

And Pray......................................

Pray not to survive, pray to be.......... day to day, that you deal with today, with hope that tomorrow is good to excellent. We change our old ideas about days. We change our ideas about minutes when the need is there. At first, numb. Then a fog. Then a flurry of activity. Then a slow down of activity. There's more, but I'll leave that out for now. Feel the wind, feel the warmth, and breathe........................

On my gosh Sassy, thank you so much! I really appreciate everything everyone does to help get us all through this. I've got 10 days to be a complete sponge. I think I still have a hard time getting it through my head that all of thisreally relates to me and not just a big mistake. I can honestly say I've buried my head in the sand the past 6 to 8 weeks. Stinkin' thinkin' at its best!
I can do this will all of your help ๐

Sas ~ How true; so perfectly worded.

Hey everyone! I've been on a bit of a break, sort of just feeling blah from post chemo steroid crash. Hope everyone is good.

Purple, Good to see you again.
Lori, Nothing wrong with burying your head in the sand. My motto is worry about it when it happens. DH had heart surgery and I never worried - I knew he would be OK. That was probably denial, but he was ok and still is.

wrench, have you got a part of small pillows yet? Do you sew? If not, let me know. I can get you a pair in the mail before the week is out. I've made about 4 sets so far.
Sas, yes, I like to thread, all In one spot.

I just talked to my SIL. My niece is in the ICU. Her blood sugar was 26 and the paramedics treated her and took her to the ER. The nurse warned SIL that blood sugar that low can cause brain damage. We are hoping that's not the case. She was trying to get up and remove her IV, so they restrained her and she's medicated with sedatives. We're all worried about her. She's been extremely depressed after her husband died a few months ago and her diabetes has always been hard to control. Prayers and healing thoughts are welcome.

Wenchie I was looking at some research for Phyllis. Came across this on Beta blockers for TNBC. It's solid research. Published March 1 2016.
http://medicalxpress.com/news/2016-03-beta-blockers-triple-negative-breast.html
" To make their discovery, Halls and colleagues examined how an aggressive triple negative breast cancer cell responds to the stress hormone adrenaline. They found that an aggressive breast cancer tumor cell has a cell surface protein called "beta2-adrenoceptor" that can binds both beta-blockers and the stress hormone adrenaline. When bound to adrenaline, the beta2-adrenoceptor on these tumor cells stimulates a positive signaling loop to accelerate invasion. When bound to beta-blocker, however, the accelerated invasion of these cells was decreased."(emphasis mine)
Not a cure, but could be a drug in the arsenal

Thank you Sassy, more reading for me to do before my next appointment. I love it! ๐

Sassy, I take a beta blocker called Spironolactone. I take it as a water pill and not for high blood pressure as I have low blood pressure. After doing a little research on this drug it is linked to possibly higher risks of BC. I'm not saying that it has anything to do with my BC. I checked my medical records and I've been taking it since 8/27/2015... things that make you go Hhhmmm....
