Loverly - So scary about your DH! Hope he is doing better today. What was that little creature you posted a pic of?

Yeah! MammaRay. What a huge relief. Please define NORMAL for me. There is an author who wrote a book like 20 some years ago and it was titled "Normal is Just a Setting on your Dryer".

Welcome back Miss Chevy! How's the garden growing? I came back from the hospital to weeds trying to take over the flower beds near my apartment and front yard. Took a spray bottle of white vinegar to them. Little buggers.

Sassy - What in the world?

Smaarty - I like the pretty little Owl figurines.

    Hey Shep!

    Until later.

Susan - Awww, that is so precious! How are you feeling from your treatment?

Lookie - Whoa! That's some you got there.

Hey Chevy - Good to see you again. It was just a hip revision surgery. Things are going well. However, I am dreading going back to treatment next Wednesday though. Been off the Ibrance for 5 weeks now, and 6 weeks since last Faslodex shots. Ahh, reality coming into full bloom.

Hey there Teka - Long time no see. Welcome Back.

Teka.... Yes! You must keep me company.

JazzyBug.... Yes, I read that. How/why did your hip need revised? My hip is doing very well... with that rod and a few screws going down my femur.... Doesn't bother me hardly at all...

Oh? Forward is sending me one? Hah! Yeah, right..... He would help me with my gardens, right? Winking

    Such a little Sweetheart Susan!

Hi ladies- happy July 4th weekend. A bit behind here but wanted to say hi!

Loverly- I called to check on my patio set and found that my sales guy I really liked is no longer there. No updates on the delivery, but should be in the next 3 weeks. I am off the last week of July from my client site and hope it will arrive in a timely way so I can get it delivered while I am off. Looking forward to having it on the patio soon!

Chevy-welcome back! We have missed you! How is the weather in CO? Monsoons have moved in here to NM and it is much cooler now.

Susan- that photo of Claire and Elena is darling! I hope everyone is doing okay.

Mommy- congrats on going to the year check ups! I am going in for my bi-annual check up later this month and should be done with those by next summer. It is good to not have to be at the doctors all the time.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far, two more days to go too for those celebrating July 4th weekend!

Jazzy, that just seems like a long time deliver the patio set, but it's good you will be home then to receive it.

Ms. Chevy, I am glad you are back. You are my morning cup of coffee.

Susan, Claire is such a character. Hmmm I wonder where she got it from.

I think it was the left over salmon DH ate the night before that did him in. He is back to his usual self. We even played badminton this afternoon. Had to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't fall over. It is really weird how his body compensates . I think the stomach cramps was so great that all the blood must have rushed away from his brain to his tummy or something. I teased him today that if he was a woman, there would not be any kids. This has happened on the plane three times before, one of which I was there. Well not really. I was not with him when he fainted. A flight attendant came to me and woke me up from my slumber to let me know that DH had fainted in front of the bathroom. They had to call over the intercom for a doctor. Two came to tend to him. His BP and pulse were fine. As soon as they gave him oxygen, he woke up. His doctor could not figure out why he had these fainting episodes. I'm thinking it's a combo of exhaustion and eating the wrong food. He doesn't want to go in and see a doctor. I told him he better take an aspirin daily.

Shepk, that was scary what you and the kids went through. And funny in away that you guys were planning the future just in case. The whole time I when I was trying to keep DH upright, I was thinking how I was going to clean him up and make sure his pants are on befoRe EMT arrived Shocked

Chevy - The acetabular cap in my right hip was rubbing on and inflamming the iliopsoas tendon and other soft tissues, causing a lot of pain with movement and even sitting sometimes. Surgeon replaced the cap and turned it just a smidge to prevent it from irritating said tissues. So far so good. However, I have yet to do any extensive walking. Fatigue is a real bear.

Loverly - Glad DH is doing better.

I borrowed a really cute pattern today for a stuffed little Owl & Kitty. They are made out of striped chenille fabric. Chenille used to be quite easy to find. Not so much anymore. Color choices very limited and fabric quite expensive.

JazBug... If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. And blah-blah.

And so let me decipher this for you... "The Doc reiterated the configuration of the coagulation concerning the whatever on my right Mandevilla, which caused severe awkwardness with the ilistupendous, and he had to get you a newer ball-cap.....so he had to do whatever he did, to it" And now you are better. It would have been much easier to just plain break your damn hip. Winking

And I don't know nothin' new, guys.... Getting the gardens up & ready for the next wind-hail-fire and brimstone storm.... Some little baby tomatoes have tiny bruises on them even! But I'll leave them alone, to see if they grow-up.

See? I DON'T have any news... Ha!

JazzyLove... So here's what happened the other DAY! And the WIND just THREW the hail around! I was not happy.

From the front porch... The "lake" on the lower right. It was a REAL Frog Strangler!

Loverly- the patio place custom makes the set with base, top, etc. so that is the reason for the long lead time. They told me anywhere from 6-8 weeks depending on when you order. So that is why, not just buying something that is already built and having it delivered. I totally think it will be worth the wait!

Loverly, When my stomach is upset with nausea or the big D, it triggers my vagus nerve which drops my blood pressure and causes me to faint. I'll bet that's what was going on with your husband. I think the pressure comes right back up, especially once my head is level with my heart. Last time it happened to me, I had a black eye from falling into the wastebasket I was holding in case something came up. TMI, I know. Scary but harmless unless you get hurt in the fall. That's not saying that any middle aged man with a family history of heart trouble shouldn't get checked out. It's easier to fix if it's found early. DH had 5 bypasses at age 49. He's now 76 and doing just fine without any further treatment.

    Good morning, afternoon, and evening.

Jazzy, I am surprised you were able to understand my post. I wrote it late last night half awake. I figured your patio set was probably custom made.

Thank you, JunieB, Susan, and Ms. Wren.

I thought it was probably a vasovagal reaction, but the thought of a possible heart attack is always there because DH has the risks. I almost called 911 because he told me to. I would have if he didn't get his strength back and complained of shortness of breath. What makes it tricky is not everyone gets the cardinal symptoms of a heart attack.

Loverly...Wren is right... When DH took a spill, he had the big D the night before... then felt "okay".... But walking back home after having a beer with his Buds, he started feeling "funny".... He sat on a ledge, and fell backwards... then tried to get up, and fell on the sidewalk, face first.... He finally stumbled back to where he was, and his friends came running over to him... Brought him home, and my Daughter & I nearly fell over when we saw him.

ER said he must have been "dehydrated"....from the night before!...... Plenty of fluids, and brain scans, EKG, and X-rays, and we started to leave, and THEN he got SO SICK....!! Probably from all the fluids, trauma, etc. All of us went running for towels.... We got that little brat home, and everything was okay.... I'll bet they were glad to see us leave! I was so Thankful.... and this was New Years Eve day! We all enjoyed the Christmas lights on the way home, anyway.Winking

HiHo.... We couldn't let on how afraid we were when we first saw him... He was really "out of it".... Same when I found out I had BC... I made it sound as if "Oh it's nothing... Just go in, they take it out, & I'm done".... I was more afraid when I saw him. That was ONE way to see all the decorated homes at night, Ha!
