Hi Grammy. I have a macro lens - even with that it still IS difficult. Macro photography is well known for being a heart breaker. At least in the digital era there is no film wasted!
If your camera has a macro setting, or even the close-up setting (usually a flower on the dial) then that is a good one to try out for droplets.
