Join us for a Zoom meetup for those who are Younger with MBC discussing the unique experiences that a stage IV diagnosis brings at a younger age. We'd love if you could join us on Thursdays bi-weekly at 1pm ET.

Yes, in fact we are trying to nail down a good day and time for this, but it's in the works. Also, Cowgal also reached out to us about this and was planning to start a thread asking others for best days/times, so keep an eye out for that, or let us know here what would work for you.

Hi! Thank you for commenting! I am hoping to get this thread to be more of a regularly used form of communication within our group, especially since we have a more established meet-up. Next meeting if there is time, I'd like to help anyone else get setup on here so they know to communicate this way, too.❤️

Hi Julie @moderators , is it possible to mention the person who was at our last meetup and was celebrating her 5 years mark? I'm so upset I left early last time, I had so many questions for her on how things went once she stablized…I'm been trying to nudge young MBC sisters on "How long have you been Stage IV?" thread, but I feel I only know of @forza who is young and have been stable for a while.
I'm struggling a little with 'wrapping' up this phase of the treatment - if that makes sense at all.

@radiation_cinderella I just emailed her! I am sure she wouldn't mind, but I don't want to assume until she is okay with it. I did refer her to the boards so hopefully she can join in on the chat. Thanks for getting this conversation started and I am hoping we can continue to pick it up in the weeks to come!

I just haven't met many people who got diagnosed with MBC at a young age and are stable for a while. Most people are around the same phase I'm in or even less time into their diagnosis.
I spent my last year in "saving my life" mindset (MBC diagnosis was Jan 24), and now that I'm stable with NED on my protocol (since Oct 24), and finished the last step on my plate this month (removing my ovaries and tubes because of BRCA2 +ve), I feel I'm a bit lost. I'm not sure how the mind shift happens, and I know it's not mentally sustainable either to stay in that panic mode because medically I'm no longer there, and it's impacting my life negatively.
I have a job that keeps me busy 4 days/week and I try to spend time with people I love but I still feel my nervous system didn't come out of that place of where I was last year.
How has it been for you as the years pass by?
