The lawsuit in question was filed by Trump's Department of Justice yesterday against the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois more broadly for allegedly interfering with federal immigration enforcement .In reality, the city and state are rightfully opposing Trump's fascist mass deportation operations which have already resulted in the arrest of innocent American citizens."You know maybe as they come and try to attack the state of Illinois — and that's what they're doing — you know, the lawsuits are against laws on the books in Illinois," Pritzker continued

."I mean unlike Donald Trump, we follow the law in Illinois," he went on. "Now, maybe they put up with this kind of garbage in Florida, which is the home state of the head of the DOJ, but in Illinois, we have grit. We are tough. We are strong. And Donald Trump has no idea what he's up against when he attacks Illinois.""So we're here. We're going to stay here. We're going to keep fighting for lowering costs on people, on building up jobs, on holding back the tariffs, whatever we can do to make this a great state, we're going to continue to do," said the governor.This is the bold resistance we need from our Democratic governors right now. Pritzker is unafraid to go toe-to-toe with our cruel, ignorant president because he knows that the laws, public sentiment, and moral authority are on his side.

Donald Trump's nominee for FBI Director gets hit with a stunning scandal as it's revealed that he was paid $25,000 by a Russian-linked company to appear in a propagandistic "documentary" in which he demanded the closing of the FBI's headquarters. And it gets so much worse...Kash Patel, a noted conspiracy theorist and diehard Trump loyalist, was paid the sum in question by the film company Global Tree Pictures, which is owned by a Russian national. The company has produced content pushing the Kremlin's anti-Western and anti-democratic views. One of their previous projects was a pro-Russian propaganda campaign that received money directly from a fund created by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The disturbing revelation came after The Washington Post obtained documents outlining the payment to Patel. In return for the cash, Patel sold out his country by appearing in a conspiracist documentary that pathetically claimed that there was a Deep State plot which "destroyed the lives of those who stood by Donald Trump in an attempt to remove the democratically elected president from office ."The six-part series was called "All the President’s Men: The Conspiracy Against Trump" and aired on Tucker Carlson's online network. Carlson has been a noted defender of Putin's Russia and regularly pushes Kremlin talking points. Perhaps most disturbingly, Patel stated in the documentary that he plans to "shut down the FBI headquarters building and open it up as a museum to the ‘deep state.’"Ending the FBI has long been at the top of the Kremlin's wish list, as the Bureau regularly foils Russian intelligence operations and fights against oligarch corruption. If Trump gets his way, the man who wants to destroy the FBI will be entrusted with leading it.
