Watched MSNBC news while on cruise and was kept somewhat apprised of what nonsense the turd and his madman were up to in our absence. Did witness the WH meeting debacle with Zelenskyy and was ashamed to admit we were Americans. Met one woman who had a badge which stated "I did not vote for him" which she had pinned to her hat whenever we left the ship to visit a port of call. Must say the man who had a shirt proclaiming the turd's attributes on a daily basis was beyond the pale but wonder how he was able to find so many pro-turd shirts to wear? Meanwhile he looked like Jerry Garcia with his long curly hair and full beard, not someone I would think the turd would want identifying with him.

We were seated at a table with 3 other couples, all from Fl. Need I say more? However, one couple seemed to lean left while the one couple previously proclaimed their support for the right at a dinner when the other 2 couples were absent. Never did determine if the 3rd couple felt the same as the second one, however considering they were traveling companions with couple 2, felt that they most likely were. At dinner, the one declared how impressed she was by Marco Rubio's speech that day and I immediately stated that "my mother had always said that politics, religion and sex were not dinner table discussions" and nipped her in the bud. If looks could kill, I would have been dead. The conversation came to a screeching halt and she wasn't happy. Turns out all 3 couples lived in close proximity but don't feel couple #3 will be invited to join the clique. We did end up having a table for 2 or on most nights because the bonded couples only came when they could pig out on double starters on shrimp and escargot nights. They thought nothing of slowing down dinner by consuming back to back appetizers while the rest of us were made to wait for the entrees until they finished. Will never sit at a group table again based on this experience. The rest of the time they ate in the Lido.

She had also insulted us by saying pre-super bowl, that she was a KC fan and we were going to have our asses handed to us yet again. However, karma is a bitch, and we handed KC, a decisive defeat. Reminded her that our loss to KC 2 years prior was due to a poor ref call and that we had extracted our revenge for that but proving we could have won that game as well. Don't think I will be on her Christmas card list ever, LOL. That's okay because I doubt our paths will ever cross again.

Am appalled by the behavior and lack of compassion within the Repugnican party. Loved the Liz Cheney quote where she reminded them of their destiny. No time to play catch-up on all the submissions over the past month so will tacitly agree with them.

Glad your back Betrayal. Gets a bit quiet here and so I welcome a bit more chatter since my feelings a lot of days are just random takes on things I have heard. A long time ago, when we put things in here it was rather standard to copy and paste your 'source' in. I long ago stopped doing it. I think some time after Obama had been in office the second time.

Now —- the news is so warped I seldom bother at all. It is just not reliable much at all with such a HEAVY slant to the right — so I totally get what you're feelings were about your table-mates. You know people here don't talk about politics or their religion much and it allows people in small towns to pretty much successfully get on with each other, conduct business dealings and in general be friendly to everyone they know when they encounter each other around town. They would not dream of foisting political conversations on others in any situation but some people feel it seems, almost compelled to proclaim their allegiance as though they are the chosen and you should be fortunate they are there to guide you.

Ah I'll pass too, thank you so much for keeping your mouth shut. Anyway, I will now tell you what I read for hear. For the most part since I don't see a lot of tv much of my news comes from more left wing sources.
