Good for you Ruth. Here is something interesting as well. At one point they were yelling F###Trump. Something I would not have truly expected to have happen in Utah. I'm sure there were many places all over the country with these kinds of crowds and Ruth — this may really be a tipping point for sure.
Not sure what would have happened if Trump had chosen to forget about the tariffs or certainly be much more frugal with amts. I do think this is one of those proverbial last straws. He is not truly fulfilling his campaign promises and he is pretty much thumbing his nose at everyone. He seems to have not one care (and I have believed that to be true always) for anyone which includes most of the Reps. They gave him what he wanted and now he no longer needs any of them. I think we may hear a lot in the next few days. I hope soon we hear that Trump is over.

I am proud of you Ruth. As it was pouring rain most of the day here things would not have been so great even had a group gotten together here. Still, it would seem to me that it will do us all good to see pictures of all the marchers. It has seemed like not a lot has gone on for Democrats and there are only so many things that can happen way up the chain. KNOWING how many people are with us (while we often felt rather alone, I think) will I hope be a massive inspiration to keep looking for all that will work for us and will as well I hope, help us with our patience, so very much tried on a daily basis with that pure lunatic who is in charge.

I participated in the Hands Off rally held in Torrance, CA. While California is a blue state, Torrance is a pretty conservative area. I was heartened and amazed by the very large turnout. Lots of older folks like me, but plenty of younger people as well. It felt good to be among so many people who are concerned about the direction our country has taken. It may take some time, but I left feeling hopeful that our collective voices will be heard, and at least some of the insanity that we have been experiencing will be curbed.
