Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo Finally Faces Reality Of Trump Tariffs In Unprecedented Moment.
I nearly couldn't believe what I was reading when I see Trump's super-huge all-time cheerleader own up to it doesn't seem workable. Boy, that is thin ice territory for sure.

So happy she is still on the court:

I almost never swore and grew up in a non-swearing household. I find that this is changing…

I grew up with a fair amt. of swearing, but always knew it was a choice for an adult to make. While frustration can cause me to let loose now and then, I normally choose to enjoy the wide variety we have of the non-swearing English language. Sadly Trump and admin push every button I ever had and I find those words are the only ones that allow me to de-stress somewhat.

Not able to open the video, but I have a good imagination and the picture definitely speaks.

You people are hopelessly stupid. Mexican is not a language. And just how often do you frequent Taco bell where they are speaking MEXICAN I would like to know. Mr. Homan, you offend me along with most of your cohorts.

If Trump and Musk are seriously worried about abusive spending and waste, they should start with themselves and go down.

I guess he thinks this because he has to pay people. Newsflash — we have a better way.

This really hurts.

When I get my million dollar check, I will share it with you all! Ha!
Because they have to BUY votes, they don't get that people would show up to express their opinion just because they love their country.

Ruth, I think you are spot on about that. Doing something just because it's right or just because of some little things like love and respect is definitely something Trump and company let go by the wayside long, long ago.
No wonder we have such trouble trying to understand — we are at such opposite ends of the poles.
Mom2Bill — that is one of the things I so want to see fixed now. I had hoped that it would see good repair when Pres. Biden became our leader. Perhaps trying to get the country turned around well was first and maybe second term for some other sorely needed items. In any case, here we are and as I've read lately and totally believe, Trump is in it for himself for sure this time. He knows, one way or the other he is not going to be in ofc. a third time so he is doing exactly as he wants — or what he thinks works and damn the torpedoes, as James Carville said — if Trump goes down, he is going to take as many of us with him as he can.
Also on the way here read this morning that Pam Bondi had a career DOJ person frog marched out of his office yesterday. His sin — he had a copy of the Constitution in his desk. The Republicans have banned that book. Where was I when this banning happened. I think more so I did not see the Constitution as such as a book. So I am horrified and so dismayed at such a thing. Here's Trump the criminal, total lawbreaker, insane as all get out, dementia riddled and a great career person gets canned for something like that. I haven't believed in Hell for a very long time — butt oh sweet and just Karma, how I do believe in you, and how little time I hope has to elapse before Pam Bondi and others of her ilk get to meet you face to face.

I have been a bit discouraged with Nate Silver for a while, but found this piece interesting:
New Poll Reveals Who Would Win Between Trump And Obama In Hypothetical Third-Term Showdown
Barack Obama would defeat Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2028 matchup.
by Stephen Silver12 hours ago12 hours ago

Barack Obama and Donald Trump never ran for president against each other, and because of the Constitution, neither of them can ever run again.
But what if they did?
According to an Overton Insights survey of 1,100 registered voters published this week and cited by the Independent, Obama would defeat Trump in a hypothetical matchup of the 44th and 45th (and 47th) presidents.
“If the 22nd Amendment were amended to allow presidents to serve three terms, and both Donald Trump and Barack Obama were eligible to run in the 2028 presidential election, for whom would you vote?” is how the question is worded.
The video player is currently playing an ad. You can skip the ad in 5 sec with a mouse or keyboard
The same poll asked respondents who they would vote for in 2028, on the Democratic side, if the election were held today. Among overall voters, former Vice President Kamala Harris was the leader at 48 percent, followed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with 15 percent, Gov. Gavin Newsom with 10 percent, Gov. Josh Shapiro with 9 percent, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer at 6 percent, Gov. Wes Moore with 3 percent, and ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith with 2 percent.
On the Republican side, voters were asked the same question. Vice President J.D. Vance led with 36 percent, followed by Donald Trump, Jr. with 31 percent, Gov. Ron DeSantis with 13 percent, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy with 6 percent, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio with 6 percent.
There was more to the article, but this was the numbers which is what was interesting, and I felt truer due to its actually being a hypothetical so that is all if copied from the article.

Hey America. You paid for this and supplied most of the weapons. You should at least get to know what your money is being spent on.
We need Hugo Boss to start designing the Israeli uniforms; it’s worked before. L’chaim!

Friends,
In the last week, Trump has gone wild on the global economy, saying tariffs are the key to American prosperity.
As a result, global stock and bond markets tanked.
Today — telling reporters that “you have to be flexible” and conceding that “over the last few days it looked pretty glum” — Trump paused his tariffs for most countries for the next 90 days, backing down on his policy that had sent markets into a tailspin and threatened to upend global trade.
The reversal prompted the S&P 500 stock index to climb over 7 percent in just minutes.
Traders with inside information about what Trump was about to do — some of them, presumably, Trump family members and cronies — just made a fortune.
It looks like chaos but Trump’s chaos always creates winners and losers, and Trump makes sure he’s on the winning side.
The mayhem that Trump’s cuts in the federal workforce is creating have nothing to do with efficiency or with reducing the federal budget deficit.
Trump and Musk just gutted the IRS at the height of tax season by firing thousands of employees – and is planning to downsize the agency even more.
Recent estimates show that the richest 1 percent of Americans already underpay their taxes by as much as $205 billion each year. And for each $1 the IRS invests in auditing the tax returns of the richest 1 percent, it collects $13 in additional tax revenue.
So the tax revenue our government loses every year is way higher than the amount of taxpayer dollars DOGE claims to have “saved” by cancelling contracts and grants for vital government programs – of which only a small portion can actually be verified.
The truth is: Gutting the IRS has everything to do with making it easier for billionaires like Elon and Trump to evade taxes.
It all feels like chaos until you look more closely
Trump’s unpredictability also makes him seem particularly powerful and dangerous.
In 1517, Niccolò Machiavelli argued that sometimes it is “a very wise thing to simulate madness.” Wise, that is, for the manipulative ruler. Trump is simulating madness, but it’s all about increasing his wealth and power.
An increasing number of so-called “leaders” – in the private, public and non-profit sectors, and around the world – are telling their boards, overseers, trustees or legislatures: “We have to give Trump whatever he wants and even try to anticipate his wants, because who knows how he’ll react if we don’t?”
My strong recommendation to anyone in a position of leadership here or abroad: Do not give in to Trump’s feigned madness. Do not surrender. Do not capitulate. Join forces and fight back.
This piece is from Robert Reich who I read all the time. I have wondered a fair amt. of time about just this I do believe Trump is into dementia, but at the same time, he has others who are pulling a lot of strings to get places and I do think it behooves their designs and plans because he is manipulative in the state he is in. That last sentence is just my thought only.
There should in my way of thinking have been (it wasn't bad mind you) a bigger outcry from many in the GOP and possibly out in the world Reps. So, for that reason I do wonder why Trump is allowed to meander around and is so seldom called to account.

BREAKING: Democratic governors boldly throw down the gauntlet to Donald Trump after he corruptly commands his MAGA Justice Department to gut climate laws at a state level.
This is how you stand up to this fascist administration...
"The federal government cannot unilaterally strip states’ independent constitutional authority," New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New Mexico Governor Michelle Luján Grisham said in a joint statement.
Hochul and Luján Grisham are co-chairs of the US Climate Alliance. Their statement was released on behalf of the coalition, which represents two dozen governors as well as "nearly 60 percent of the U.S. economy and 55 percent of the U.S. population."
"We are a nation of states — and laws — and we will not be deterred. We will keep advancing solutions to the climate crisis that safeguard Americans’ fundamental right to clean air and water, create good-paying jobs, grow the clean energy economy, and make our future healthier and safer," they stated.
The Trump executive order in question was handed down yesterday and ordered the Department of Justice to identify and dismantle state and local laws and regulations that supposedly hamper energy development.
It took special aim at any laws that are designed to fight combat change or greenhouse gas emissions.
In practice, of course, the order amounts to nothing more than a massive handout to the fossil fuel companies that helped put Trump back in the White House. Republicans still insist that climate change doesn't exist and so they're willing to destroy the planet in pursuit of greater corporate profits.
Thankfully for future generations, blue states are refusing to roll over. This statement from the governors is the opening salvo in what is certain to be a protracted and costly legal war but the stakes are too high to back down.

Another huge kick in the teeth. Compliments of the not so great at all ever, Republicans.

Yes, he did fold like a cheap suit, but he is manipulating the market and it is for him and the Reps. I think he is getting serious help with these things too.

We need an immediate investigation into Trump’s market manipulations, which likely just transferred TRILLIONS of dollars from middle class Americans to Trump and his billionaire pals.

So plenty of people willing to let this yahoo stay right where he's at — destroying others right and left while he and his cronies get dor-re-mi.

That should be a very big oops.

I support this totally.
