I think that is really Trump and the Republicans. We want to stop the things they are doing and have continued to indicate that in many different ways, and when we get the opportunity — we will. But I do agree right now with the rt. it's as true as the rain getting you wet.

BREAKING: Donald Trump goes full Third World dictator by exploiting the Oval Office to target a law firm that represented Dominion Voting Systems in its historic defamation lawsuit against Fox News.
This is a jaw-dropping abuse of power...
According to Bloomberg Law, Trump signed an executive order stating that employees of Susman Godfrey, the law firm in question, are to be barred from federal buildings and stripped of any security clearances. It also terminates any contracts between the firm and the federal government.
As if that weren't enough corruption, Trump also wants to investigate the firm for supposedly violating federal employment discrimination laws through DEI practices.
While signing the Executive Order, Trump asserted that "there were some very bad things that happened with these law firms."
This is, of course, payback for Susman Godfrey daring to represent Dominion and pushing back again Fox's destructive lie that Joe Biden stole the 2020 election. The right-wing news network ultimately coughed up $787 million in a settlement.
By targeting this firm and others in similar legal hatchet jobs, Trump is sending a clear signal that he will abuse the law for partisan purposes. He wants to terrorize all of the top law firms so that they'll refuse to represent his political enemies in the future.
Thankfully, Susman Godfrey isn't taking this abuse lying down. They stated that "there is no question that we will fight this unconstitutional order," and that we believe in the rule of law, and we take seriously our duty to uphold it. This principle guides us now."
For the sake of our democracy, let's hope they win.

BREAKING: Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez enrages the corrupt MAGA members of Congress by calling on them to reveal any recent stock trades made during Donald Trump's tariff disaster.
This could expose a mountain of insider trading...
"Any member of Congress who purchased stocks in the last 48 hours should probably disclose that now," AOC wrote on X.
"I’ve been hearing some interesting chatter on the floor. Disclosure deadline is May 15th. We’re about to learn a few things," she added. "It’s time to ban insider trading in Congress."
Her post quote-tweeted a report that NASDAQ call volume "spiked" just minutes before Trump announced a 90 day pause for his destructive tariffs. It certainly looks like some well-informed investors made a killing.
Anyone in the White House or broader Republican Party who was informed of Trump's announcement in advance could have raked in untold wealth.
AOC's demand for transparency comes at the same time that Democratic senators Adam Schiff and Ruben Gallego are demanding that the Office of Government Ethics open an investigation into possible insider trading tied to the tariffs.
They have requested information on whether Trump, his family, or members of his administration "engaged in insider trading or other illegal financial transactions informed by advanced knowledge of non-public information regarding his changes to tariff policy."
Given that the Trump administration is the most corrupt in American history by far, insider trading rooted in tariff market manipulation would be perfectly on brand.

BREAKING: Former Marine Congressman Ruben Gallego publicly humiliates MAGA Homeland Security Secretary Krist Noem after she poses with a rifle amidst an ICE raid.
Her little game of fascist dress-up backfired big time…
“1. Close your ejection port,” Gallego wrote on X, referring to a rifle component.
“2. If you have no rounds in the chamber why do you have a magazine inserted?” he continued.
“3. If you have rounds in the chamber or in the magazine why are you flagging the guy next to you?” the senator continued, referring to the fact that Noem was recklessly aiming her gun at a law enforcement officer’s head.
“4. Stop deporting people without due process,” Gallego added.
The brutal takedown from Gallego was in response to a video that Noem posted to X showcasing her tactical outfit in the aforementioned raid.
“Human traffickers. Drug Smugglers. 18thStreet Gang members,” Noem wrote, conveniently eliding the fact that the Trump administration has also been deporting innocent people, including a father from Maryland.
“Spent the morning in Phoenix with our brave @ICEgov and Arizona law enforcement arresting these dirtbags and getting them off our streets,” she added.
Gallego represents Arizona. Noem should have known better than to mess with his constituents. Republican politicians love military aesthetics, but in practice they have no idea what they’re doing or talking about.

Today, Marco Rubio serves as Secretary of State for Donald Trump, a serial adulterer and convicted felon whom Rubio is willing to serve despite Trump's steadfast refusal to be influenced by "the Judeo-Christian values" Rubio claims are essential for any President—values "that teach us to care for the less fortunate, to reach out to the needy, to love our neighbor."
While working for the devoutly anti-Christian Trump would seem like a stretch for someone as godly as Rubio, it's worth remembering that Rubio's own "faith" is as malleable as clay. Born a Catholic, he became a Mormon, then renounced Mormonism to rediscover Catholicism while choosing to worship at a Southern Baptist megachurch on the side.
Marco Rubio is Christian in his tweets, but now that he's working for Trump, he's getting very Satanic in the streets.
This was a longer article but I felt the part that some (I was totally amazed) might be surprised to learn what was sort of important was the religious positions Rubio has taken. He doesn't seem to know just how religion fits him or which one. That being said, if you live by the Ten Commandments you would likely be fine whether you switch religions now and then anyway.
I do feel that Rubio is at odds in some ways with himself because he is definitely trying somewhat to have religion and have Trump as well. Not compatible at all. Making a mistake about your religion is okay in my book. To me it is somewhat like a marriage — some marriages just don't pan out after a while, and you know to do something about it. But at the same time there are really basic things (like the commandments) that should be with you during any change. I don't think Rubio has much to hold onto and it sounds like he will get worse rather than better. How many times we have seen it. Rub shoulders too closely while you line up with Trump and you will come away with the stink of evil all over you and some other kind of loss as well. Generally, you are ruined for your efforts. In my book, Marco has no where to go but down as I think will be the case for a lot of others as well.

On the other hand, I've noted with interest that (have to see how long it lasts) I know an old Reps. schoolmate who seemed to delight in sharing political memes denigrating Democrats. I learned to ignore them, and since right around the tariffs it seems the memes have become Christiam in nature. In part perhaps as the political ones were not getting response. I would guess other Reps. who freely joined in are now under stress and wish to keep any possible egg off their face by not having a response at this point out in the universe for all the world to know about.
I'm under no illusion that most of any of these people would change politics but here they are sneaking into our boat for this issue — even if they don't own up. All bets are off if Trump finds a way to depressurize things again.
