@foxanne morning! I just started Doxil on May 14. Happy to bump this thread and at the very least you and I can chat about this drug journey. I’m on cycle 1 day 6 and no SE yet. I’m on 65mg very 4 weeks. The first treatment was over 90 minutes, and moving forward will be Over 60 minutes. Only Aloxi (anti nausea) as the pre med . Was so easy. Past treatment lines (this is my 4th! ) had a variety of pre meds lol.. so I thought they made a mistake.. but my MO said this was it , at least to start. Will see how I do. She had me Take Zofran the first night as a precaution . And to Email her PA if SE appears. Main thing she said to look out for is a Rash, or hand foot syndrome , and to call her if fever of 100.5 or higher occur . My white blood cells were a little low to start, which is not usual for me, so I’ll go back in a week for labs to check white blood cell count .
My latest MRI was NED, and Pet was clear except for a dot on Thoracic (t1) that was tiny and not sure what it is, so will do a spine MRI on 5/30. Could be nothing . MO said If it is a small bone met I could live with that, not lethal, as nothing else is here except for my skin met on right breast, that is my main problem, skin Mets pop up and we are trying to contain them. So Doxil is what we are using to keep everything stable, As we are Trying to get rid of the new skin Mets nodule on my breast ! So that’s my story.
